Richard Hord

Richard Hord of Campbellsville, son of Shirley Berry Hord and the late Richard C. Hord, was born September 6, 1962, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 11:58 A.M., Sunday, October 1, 2017 in Louisville. Age: 55
Richard was a follower of Jesus and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church. He cherished his time as a bus driver for Taylor County Schools over the past twelve years. He also worked for Blue Grass Way as maintenance
Technician and cherished the residents during his many years of service there. He held a successful business in home improvements in years past serving many clients in Campbellsville.
He united in marriage to Dee Dee Martin June 11, 1982.
Aside from his wife, Dee Dee Hord of Campbellsville, he is survived by two sons:
Brandon Hord and wife, Katie of Florence, Kentucky and Corey Hord and wife, Stacee of Owasso, Oklahoma; three granddaughters and two grandsons: Taylor Hord, Caden Hord and Cameron Smith of Florence, Kentucky and Adalee Hord and Zooey Hord of Owasso, Oklahoma; mother, Shirley Hord of Campbellsville; one sister and two brothers: Terry Hord and wife, Annette, Janet Bragg and husband, Ross and Teddy Hord of Campbellsville; one niece and one nephew: Tyler Bragg and Alexis Bragg of Campbellsville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wallace and Sandy Martin of Georgetown; two fur babies: Pagni and Graycee and
many other relatives and friends.
Richard was a beloved member of the community. He was a blue-collar man that was a carpenter at heart who never took shortcuts. He took pride in the quality of his work. He loved honeybees and was an avid hobbyist of beekeeping. He also had an adoration for Ford Thunderbirds and cherished his 1978 Diamond Jubilee edition.

David E. Walters of Campbellsville, son of the late Albert Walters and Lucy Garnett Walters, was born February 23, 1933, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 3:14 A.M., Friday, September 29, 2017 in Campbellsville. Age: 84
He professed faith in Christ and attended Faith Alive Ministry.
He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
David united in marriage to Norma Jean Williams December 29, 1951.
Besides his wife, Norma Jean Walters of Campbellsville, he is survived by two daughters: Connie Bland and husband, J. T. and Judy Humphress and husband, Mike of Campbellsville; five grandchildren: Jenny Powell and husband, Richard of Elizabethtown, David Anderson and wife, Karen of Leitchfield, Kristy Nelson of Campbellsville, Jessica Kimbler and husband, Jay of Columbia and Ashley Hunt and husband, Matt of Calvary; sixteen great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Barbara Pike and Lois Richardson of Campbellsville and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Michael David Humphress and three brothers and two sisters: Herbert Walters, Raymond “Bill”: Walters, Howard Walters in infancy, Edith Lawson and Virginia Shively.

Leonard Barnett

Leonard Barnett of Campbellsville, son of the late William “Little Bill” Barnett and Mary Johnson Barnett, was born January 2, 1927, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 11:51 A.M., Tuesday, September 19, 2017 in Campbellsville. Age: 90
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Robinson Creek Baptist Church, where he was a Trustee for over forty years.
He was a retired knitting room employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
Leonard enjoyed farming and gardening and after his retirement, he was able to dedicate more time to fishing.
He united in marriage to Jennie Myers April 25, 1953.
Besides his wife, Jennie Barnett of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and one daughter: Randy Barnett and wife, Kelly of Rineyville and Linda Humphress and husband, Mike of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Levi Barnett and Chelsey Gorham and husband, Bobby of Louisville, Austin Seaborne and wife, Emina of Elizabethtown and Ashley Silas and husband, Jon of Rineyville; two great-grandchildren: Madison Silas of Rineyvillle and Elena Hatler of Elizabethtown; one brother and one sister: Ralph Barnett and wife, Dorothy of Mt. Washington and Mary Kathryn Lawson of Campbellsville, special nephew, Billy Price and wife, Doreda of Campbellsville and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters: Everett Lewis “Dude” Barnett, Owen Thomas Barnett, Huley Barnett, James Barnett, Richard Barnett, Esther Roberts, Velma Christerson, Clara Brown and Mattie Lou Price.

Philip Thompson of Campbellsville, son of the late Jimmie Alva Thompson and Bessie Emma Whitlock Thompson was born July 15, 1954 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 1:50 P.M., Saturday, September 16, 2017 in Campbellsville. Age: 63
He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.
He was a devoted employee of Overhead Door for some forty six years and was a lifelong farmer. In Philip’s spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also a former Club House member of the American Legion Post 82.
He united in marriage to Pam Gabehart June 28, 1980.
Besides his wife, Pam Thompson, he is survived by two brothers and four sisters:
Gilbert Thompson of Glasgow, Jean Burkhead and husband, Jodie, Becky Spratt, Patricia Gray and husband, Donnie, Terry Thompson and wife, Betty and Hilda Bell and companion, Mike Maupin; a brother-in-law, Ernie Gabehart and wife, Hilda; a sister-in-law, Sue Simpson and husband, Jeff all of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Nadine Milsap of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Richard Sallee and Sylvia Livesay Sallee, was born July 6, 1939, in Bellflower, Illinois. She died at 7:35 A.M., Tuesday, September 12, 2017 in Campbellsville. Age: 78
She professed faith in Christ and attended the First Church of God.
Nadine united in marriage to Harold Milsap August 31, 1958 and he preceded her in death March 18, 2010.
She was a member of the Pitman Chapter #157 Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by two daughters: Penny Henning and husband, Brian of Shepherdsville and Tammy Jo Milsap and significant other, Ronnie Fick of Cox’s Creek; two grandchildren: Mandy Ashby of Shepherdsville and Jill White and husband, Jacob of Lawrenceburg; one step-grandchild, Dylan Henning of Shepherdsville; one great-grandson, Samuel White of Lawrenceburg; one sister, Willine Bowman of Campbellsville; and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Doris Huff.
