Gerald Stanley Skaggs of Campbellsville, son of the late Stanley Skaggs and Elizabeth Hunt Skaggs, was born January 23, 1945 in Jefferson County, Kentucky. He died at
3:00A.M., Saturday, December 10, 2016 in Campbellsville. Age: 71
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
He was a farmer and former employee of Fruit of the Loom and Parker Kalon.
He united in marriage to Birdie L. Gaddie February 1, 1964.
Besides his wife, Birdie L. Skaggs of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and two daughters: Teresa Handy and husband, Brian, Jerry Skaggs and wife, Gayle, and Mary Gabehart and husband, C.J., of Campbellsville; five grandchildren: Brandee Flick and husband, Alex of Clarksville, Indiana, Brianna Handy, Madison Handy, Emilee Gabehart and Justin Gabehart of Campbellsville; two step-grandchildren, Adrienne Hash and husband, Griffin and Scott Davis of Campbellsville, two step-great-grandchildren: Gracyne Hash and Seth Hash; one niece and one nephew, Debbie Evans and Philip Hanley and many other relatives and friends.
Gerald was also preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Hanley.

Louise Ellis Beard Kilby of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Enoch Elmer Ellis and Amanda “Susie” Brockman Ellis, was born June 17, 1927, in Adair County, Kentucky. She died at 11:38 A.M., Sunday, December 4, 2016 in Hodgenville. Age: 89
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Southside Christian Church.
Louise was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She was preceded in death by her three husbands: Alton Ellis in death in 1965, Robert Beard in 1981 and Ervin Kilby on December 1, 2002.
She is survived by one daughter, Betty Giles and husband, Arthur of Campbellsville; one step-son, Doug Kilby and wife, Angie of Georgetown; five step-grandchildren; two nieces: Kathy Ellis of Bowling Green and Tabitha Ellis of Campbellsville; one nephew, Mike Ellis of Columbia; and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Billy Ellis December 10, 2004; one brother, William Ellis and a sister, Berneda Ellis in infancy, and a nephew, David Ellis.

Hazel G. Cash Shofner of Louisville, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late R. T. Cash and Mattie Morris Cash was born November 20, 1927 in Larue County, Kentucky. She died at 9:25 A.M., Sunday, December 4, 2016 in Louisville. Age: 89
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pitman Valley Baptist Church.
She worked for thirty years at Brown Williamson Tobacco Company.
She united in marriage to Thomas C. Shofner in 1942. He preceded her in death December 10, 2010.
She is survived by three sons and two daughters: William T. Shofner, Sharlot V. Galloway and Patricia K. Blackford of Louisville, James B. Shofner and wife, Jean of Bardstown and Raymond Shofner of Florida; two step-daughters: Sharon Sullivan and Brenda Stovall; eighteen grandchildren: Wilbur E. Lee, Darryl R. Lee, Pamela M. Rowe, Steven A. Shofner, Raymond J. Shofner, Joseph R. Shofner, Rebecca L. Becker, Marcie J. Nease, Scott Shofner, John T. Galloway, Michael A. Galloway, Melissa D. Miller, Melinda S. Fitzgerald, Christina N. Powell, Benjamin C. Blackford, Ashley Sullivan, John Sullivan, and Matthew Sullivan; thirty-one great-grandchildren; twenty-five great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Delois Lee and Joyce Johnson of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was loved by all and will be missed by all.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Rebecca Lynn Shofner, two grandsons: Donnie Galloway and Thomas J. Shofner and three brothers and two sisters: Raymond Cash, Wilson Cash, Paul (Junior) Cash, Lorene Pendergraf and Barbara Cash.

Rev. Ervin Gentry of Louisville, formerly of Campbellsville, son of the late John H. Gentry and Sarah Margaret Cave Gentry was born June 23, 1932 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 6:00 P.M., Thursday, December 1, 2016 in Louisville. Age: 84
He professed faith in Christ and served as a minister with the United Methodist Conference for some thirty-three years.
He was veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was awarded the Occupational Medal (Japan), Pres Unit Citation (ROK) and Korean Service Medal W/3Bronze Camp Stars.
He was a member of the Masons and Shiners organizations, was recognized for his work with Hospice, was a life member of the DAV, a member of a Wood Carvers Group, and an amateur radio operator.
He united in marriage to Lucille Murrell August 22, 1951.
Besides his wife, Lucille Gentry of Louisville, he is survived by two sons and one daughter: David Gentry of Indiana, Stanley (Dawn) Gentry and Marsha (Danny) Henderson of Louisville and Karen Stanton; five grandchildren: Robert, Marissa, Kelsey, Adrienne and Sarah; two great-grandchildren: Connor and Cameron; several nieces and nephews, including Sue Hayes and husband, Bruce who the family wishes to thank for their care, concern and help; and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters: Fletcher Gentry, Lee Gentry, Samuel Gentry, Charles Gentry, Agnes Price, Maggie Martin and Daniel Gentry.

Wilma Boston of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Huston Cox and Beechel Tungate Cox, was born November 29, 1942 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 12:25 P.M., Thursday, December 1, 2016 in Campbellsville. Age: 74
She professed faith in Christ and was a charter member of Mannsville Separate Baptist Church.
Wilma was devoted to her family and her church.
She retired from the United States Postal Service after twenty-five years of service.
She united in marriage to Robert Boston July 22, 1961.
Besides her husband, Robert Boston of Campbellsville, she is survived by one daughter, Tammy Boston of Campbellsville; one grandson, Casey Seaborne of Campbellsville; one brother and one sister: Harold Dalton Cox and wife, Kathleen and Beverly Sue Cox of Campbellsville; two sisters-in-law: Mary Nell Cox and Marcella Cox of Campbellsville; fourteen nieces and nephews and twenty-seven great-nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers: David Cox, Donald Cox and Dannie Dale Cox.
