James R. Caulk

James R. Caulk of Finley, son of the late Malcolm Caulk and Josie Wise Caulk, was born August 4, 1930, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 6:29 P.M., Wednesday, November 30, 2016 in Lebanon. Age: 86
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church.
After 37 years of service, James retired from the Kroger Company of Indianapolis, Indiana. During his time with them he was a proud member of the Teamsters Local Union 135, being re-elected as the Union Steward for 35 of those years as well as serving on the Board of Trustees for 30 years. After retiring in 1992, James soon returned home to Taylor County where he enjoyed farming, loved working with his cattle and took great pride in operating a well maintained farm.
He united in marriage to Ester Elaine Roberts in 1958. She preceded him in death in 1970. James and Ester had three children: James, Jr., Lisa and Keith.
He later united in marriage to Mary E. Goodin Benningfield in 1972. She preceded him in death in 2014.
He is survived by two sons: James R. Caulk, Jr. and Keith Allen Caulk of Indianapolis, Indiana; five grandchildren: Shelby Caulk, Jason Caulk, Matt Sloderbeck, Michele Sloderbeck and Celeste Sloderbeck of Indianapolis, Indiana; one sister, Shirley Ann Caulk of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
James was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Ann Caulk Sloderbeck May 18, 2002, three brothers and one sister: Harold Caulk, Elbert Caulk, Bobby Lee Caulk and Louise Melton.

Evey Burris of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Barney Rasner and Lilly Aaron Rasner, was born September 9, 1923 in Adair County, Kentucky. She died at 9:25 P.M., Wednesday, November 30, 2016 in Campbellsville. Age: 93
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church.
She united in marriage to Paul Burris February 11, 1944. He preceded her in death November 8, 1998.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Gilbert Clark of Campbellsville; three granddaughters: Shannon Cornett and husband, Dean and Merica Gowin and husband, Scott of Campbellsville and Aftan Johnson and husband, Sean of Mt. Washington; four great-grandchildren: Christopher McGinley of Knifley, Brittany Ford, Emerson Gowin and Ellington Gowin of Campbellsville; two step-great-granddaughters: Natalia Warren and husband, Andy and Kelsey Gowin; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Barry Burris and a brother, Lynwood Rasner.

Cheryl Gilbert of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Harvey Gilbert and Mary Wise Gilbert, was born February 13, 1965, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died Thursday, November 17, 2016 in Campbellsville. Age: 51
She professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.
Cheryl is survived by one daughter, Crystal Lee and spouse, Jason of Owensboro; four grandchildren whom she loved dearly: Jordan Blake Lee, Ceroara Destiny Lee, Dayanna Winter Lee and Austin William Lee; six brothers: Charles Gilbert, Randel Gilbert, George Gilbert, Danny Gilbert, Harvey Gilbert, Jr. and Eddie Gilbert; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters: Bobby Gilbert, Peggy Hunt and Mary Jane Hedgespeth.

alex-f-young-3Alex F. Young of Lawrenceburg, formerly of Campbellsville, son of the late Alexander “Jack” Young and Grace Frances Pike Young, was born June 5, 1949, in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He died at 1:52 P.M., Monday, November 21, 2016 in Lawrenceburg. Age: 67
He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.
He was a former Jefferson County Police Officer and was awarded the Meritorious Service Award from Senator Mitch McConnell. After moving to Lawrenceburg, he worked with the Department of Emergency Services in Frankfort where he retired. Alex was a devout member of the NRA, loved to shoot guns and earned his private pilot license for single engine airplanes.
He is survived by one son and one daughter: A. J. Young and wife, Amy of Pewee Valley and Amanda Minteer of Crestwood; one grandson, Bryson Minteer of Crestwood; one sister, Viella Ellis of Mt. Vernon; mother of his children, Peggy Young Carper of Louisville; many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Young August 22, 2000.

Terry Cecil Hunt of Campbellsville, son of the late Hulette Hunt and Dionas Hunt, was born July 15, 1948, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 4:40 P.M., Monday, November 21, 2016 in Campbellsville. Age: 68
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Gilboa Baptist Church.
He was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, Amazon and Fleetwood Travel Trailers.
Terry was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He united in marriage to Paula Colvin January 19, 1968.
Besides his wife, Paula Colvin Hunt of Campbellsville, he is survived by
one son and two daughters: Travis Hunt of Campbellsville, Sheila Taylor and husband, Billy Darin Taylor and Angela Butler of Columbia; two grandchildren:
