Greg Rice

Greg Rice of Campbellsville, son of Helen Douglas Dearen Rice and the late Frank Eugene Rice, was born July 30, 1961 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  He died at 6:23 P.M., Monday, June 15, 2026 in Campbellsville.       Age: 64

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Elk Horn Baptist Church.

Greg was employed as the Director of Materials Management at Taylor Regional Hospital for thirty-five years.  He also was a former member of the Campbellsville City Council.  He loved spending time working on the farm, supporting children’s programs, lending a helping hand and working in the Emmaus community.  Greg’s family and the community he served knew him to be and will always remember him as a great man.

Greg is survived by his mother, Helen Rice; one brother, David Rice and wife, Brenda; two special nieces:  Angie Draper and husband, Tim and Sara Harris and husband, Donald, all of Campbellsville; two great-nieces:  Breanna Graham and husband, Colton and Abby Draper and many other relatives and friends.

Mary Theresa Mills

Mary Theresa Mills of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Virgil Victor Mills and Ada Lee Stamp Mills, was born January 30, 1932 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  She died at 10:30 A.M., Monday, June 15, 2026 in Campbellsville.     Age: 94

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Merrimac Christian Church.

Mary was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters and one son:  Diane Garrett, Dale Mills and wife, Charity and Debbie Williams and special friend, Jason of Campbellsville; six grandchildren:  Shelly Peterson and husband, Steven of Marion County, Douglas Garrett and wife, Destine, Teresa Garrett, Sarina Morris, Shane Morris and wife, Tisha and Simon Morris and wife, Jamie of Campbellsville; twenty-four great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren;

several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Mary was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Karen Orberson and two brothers and three sisters:  Granville Mills, Russell Mills, Helen Summers, Edith Abell and Rosie Swihart.

Darrell Hunt

Darrell Hunt of Campbellsville, son of the late Oliver Hunt and Elva Hunt, was born October 17, 1934 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  He died at 8:39 A.M., Monday, June 15, 2026 in Campbellsville.         Age: 91

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Gilboa Baptist Church. Darrell was also an active member with the Gideons International for many years.

He was a retired butcher with several different grocery stores.

Darrell united in marriage to Nancy Burress June 17, 1956 and she preceded him in death December 18, 2022.

He enjoyed playing golf and watching sports.

Darrell is survived by three daughters:  Donna Faulkner and husband, Scott and Cindy Hunt of Campbellsville and Allison Hunt and husband, Thomas Bowen of Bellingham, Washington; two grandsons:  Chris Faulkner and Zack Faulkner and wife, Baylee of Campbellsville; one step-grandson, T.  J. Bowen of Bellingham, Washington; one sister, Mildred Wise and husband, Carl of Lexington; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Mildred Alene Eastridge

Mildred Alene Eastridge, 88, of Knifley, died Sunday, June 14, 2026, from an extended illness. She was the daughter of late GB and Lora Davidson and she was born on August, 19, 1937.

She was a life-long farmer. She grew up on a farm with her parents in the Little Cake community. She was married to Howard Wayne Eastridge on Jan. 27, 1959. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary in January 2022. He preceded her in death on Monday, July 11, 2022. Together, they had a dairy farm and raised tobacco. They continued dairy farming until the cows were sold in 2001. Upon selling the dairy cows, they continued with beef cattle, horses, pigs and sheep. Besides working on the farm, she was an avid gardener, both of vegetables and flowers; was a splendid cook, everyone always cherishing MeMaw’s fried apple pies; and a skilled seamstress, having made many of her children’s clothes and then clothes for grandchildren and great-grandchildren. During the winter, she would most often be found quilting, stripping tobacco for several within the community, and picking out hickory nuts for baking. She directly completed or assisted in the completion of 100’s of quilts, mostly to be given to family members (young and old). She professed faith in her Lord early in life and was a dedicated Sunday school teacher for children and assisted whenever needed in many church programs. She grew up attending churches in the Celina, TN and Burkesville, KY areas and then primarily in Columbia, KY following her family’s move to Little Cake after construction of the Dale Hollow Reservoir which flooded their homeplace.  During her later years, she attended the Broadway Church of Christ until her health hindered her from leaving home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Wendall Davidson of Marion, IN. She is survived by two sons and one daughter, Lenuel Eastridge (Donna) of Marysville, Ohio, Howard Eastridge (Briann) of Columbia, and Paula Bault of Knifley; six grandchildren: Matthew (Alecia) Eastridge of Bowling Green, KY; Megan (Justin) McCreary of Marysville, Ohio; Jordan (LeeAnn) Eastridge of Saloma; Brittany Eastridge of Bowling Green, KY; Bethany (Cody) Hammond of Brandenburg, and Sarah (Brian) Showalter of Marysville, Ohio; two step grandchildren, Chaz (Samantha) Giles of Columbia and Dr. Van (Karli) Giles of Columbia; eleven great-grandchildren; four step-great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Betty Eastridge of Knifley, Mary Williams of Campbellsville, and Myra Greer of Knifley; one brother-in-law Ronnie (Darlene) Eastridge of Campbellsville; and many other family members and friends who have been a tremendous support.

The visitation will be Tuesday, June 16, 2026, 5:00-8:00 pm at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. Visitation will also occur from 10:00-11:00 am on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, with the funeral following at 11:00 am at Broadway Church of Christ in Campbellsville. Burial will be in the Eastridge Cemetery in Knifley.

Pam Newton

Pamela Diane Newton, 66, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, passed away on May 30, 2026, entering her next life surrounded by loved ones.

She was born on December 22, 1959, to Glen Allen Newton and Alma Lucille (Wise) Newton. She is preceded in death by them as well as her two sons, Ernest Tyler Akins and Jonathan Glen Harmon. She was a loud and proud follower of Christ.

Pam spent most of her adult life as a waitress, the last 25 years at Creekside Restaurant, pulling her oxygen along to her tables until the very end. She was 58 inches of spirit and strength. She loved to give and to gather. Her favorite pastimes were finding ways to ‘pay it forward’ and hosting family parties. Her favorite roles were always that of ‘Aunt Pam,’ ‘Nanny,’ and, most importantly, ‘Mama.’

She is survived by a daughter, Sarah Harmon, of Lexington, Kentucky. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Zachary Robertson and Jasmin Robertson, both of Campbellsville, and a special granddog, Odie, who brought her so much joy. She leaves behind two brothers, Allen (Janice) Newton and Donnie (Alisha) Newton, of Campbellsville, as well as many special nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She will also be missed by many dear friends.
