MARY E. LUTTRELL

 

Mary E. Luttrell of Unicoi, Tennessee, daughter of the late Harvey Roe Luttrell and Myrtle Fair Luttrell was born in Casey County, Kentucky, August 5, 1945.   She died at 7:21 P.M., Thursday, September 20, 2012 in Johnson City, Tennessee.  Age:   67

She was employed at the VA Hospital in Johnson City, Tennessee.

She is survived by one brother and one sister: Roger Dale Luttrell of Elkhorn, and Kathy June Luttrell of Cub Run; many nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother, Betty Jean Kilby, Connie Sue Gaddis, Polly Luttrell, Cora Belle Luttrell and Gerald Dean Luttrell.

Mary R. Nelson Miller

Mary R. Nelson Miller of Campbellsville, daughter of the late John Robert Nelson and Laura Jones Nelson, was born June 23, 1917  in Taylor County, Kentucky.  She passed peacefully to her heavenly home at 1:30 P.M., Thursday, September 20, 2012 in Campbellsville.    Age:  95

Mary, also known as “Grams”, will be warmly remembered for her lively and playful nature.

She was a homemaker, caregiver and a longtime member of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church.

She united in marriage to Leonard Miller who preceded her in death January 28, 1981.

She is survived by two daughters and one son:  Joy Eskridge of Campbellsville, June Cherry and husband, Leroy of Greenville, North Carolina and John Paul Miller and wife, Mary of Ft. Myers, Florida; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by two grandsons:  Jim Eskridge February 28, 2001 and Lanny Eskridge April 20, 2011; one great-grandson, Jordan Eskridge September 1, 2012 and six brothers and one sister:  Roscoe Nelson, Goldman Nelson, Garrett Nelson, Walter Nelson, Chester Nelson, Roland Nelson and Grace Hedgespeth.

Charles O’Brien of Campbellsville, son of the late Patrick O’Brien and Mary Etta Weese O’Brien was born in Edmonson County, Kentucky, December 16, 1929.    He died at 10:30 P.M., Wednesday, September 19, 2012 in Campbellsville.

Age:    82

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pitman Valley Baptist Church.

He was a retired farmer.

He served his country honorably in the United States Navy.

He united in marriage to Nellie Sneed January 3, 1975 who preceded him in death April 7, 2001.

He is survived by one step-son: Allan Skaggs of Campbellsville; one granddaughter: Sheena Harris and husband, Chad of Campbellsville; three great-grandchildren:  Ethan Harris, Angel Harris and Leah Harris, of Campbellsville; one brother-in-law: Charles Sneed and wife, Elizabeth of Campbellsville; and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by one step-daughter Rita Cash.

Frances Hayes of ElkHorn, daughter of the late Lewis Riley Perkins and Pernie Perkins, was born July 9, 1932, in Taylor County, Kentucky.  She died at 5:00 A.M., Sunday, September 16, 2012 in Lexington.    Age:  80

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Stoner Creek United Methodist Church.

She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She united in marriage to Kenneth Hayes January 12, 1952.

Besides her husband, Kenneth Hayes, she is survived by two sons and one daughter:  Keith Hayes and wife, Connie of ElkHorn, Karen Bishop and husband, Joey of Greensburg and Kent Hayes and wife, Leah of ElkHorn; eight grandchildren:  Emily Jeffries and husband, Kevin, Kara Hargan and husband, Jon, Kendra Darnell and husband, John, Chad Hayes, Gary Wethington and wife, Tonya, Chris Hayes, Zach Hayes and Karly Hayes; three great-grandchildren:  Jaidyn Darnell, Kylee Hargan and Cager Jeffries; two step-great-grandchildren:  Austin Wethington and Adrianna Wethington; one brother and one sister:  Linda Jones and husband, Mike and Carol Perkins and wife, Carol Ann Perkins of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters:  Clyde Perkins, Lewis Perkins in infancy, Margaret Wilson and Dorothy Read.

Raymond Lee Burress of Campbellsville, son of the late John Burress and Mary Hazle Burress was born in Green County, Kentucky, May 12, 1918. He died at 4:40 P.M., Saturday, September 15, 2012 in Campbellsville.     Age:    94

Raymond professed faith in Christ and was a member of a non-denominational church.

He retired as a partner in Supertone Studio after many years.

He was a veteran of World War II, having served his country honorably in the United States Army.

Raymond united in marriage to Exie Mae Bishop November 15, 1952.

Besides his wife, Exie Bishop Burress of Campbellsville, he is survived by two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law: Larry Bishop and wife, Brenda, of Versailles, J. R. Bishop and wife, Darlene, of Greensburg, and Inex Bishop Ennis of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Janet Bishop Diamond.
