Corda Burress of Campbellsville, daughter of the late James Vanwinkle Herron and Lytha Gaddis Herron, was born September 19, 1921 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 7:03 A.M., Monday, October 1, 2012 in Campbellsville. Age: 91
She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville
She united in marriage to Riley Burress December 14, 1935. He preceded her in death August 21, 1999.
She is survived by three sons and two daughters: Bobby Burress and wife, Carolyn of Louisville, Danny Burress and wife, Sheila, Pansy Fair and husband, Vernon, Luella Chambers and husband, David and Randy Burress and wife, Sherri of Campbellsville; two daughters-in-law, Barbara Burress and Beverly Burress of Ottawa, Illinois, twenty-seven grandchildren; forty-four great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Loudellia Sluder of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by two sons and one daughter: Russell Burress, Oatley Burress and Dorothy Daffron Pike; four great-grandchildren; and four brothers and two sisters: Elzie “Jake” Herron, Welby Herron, Eff Herron, Rhodie Herron, Ora Cox and Cora Cox.

Jewell Skaggs of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Tyler Green Smith and Ina Mae Claycomb Smith was born August 2, 1928 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 9:15 P.M., Friday, September 28, 2012 in Campbellsville.
Age: 84
She professed faith in Christ and was member of Fairdale Christian Church.
She united in marriage to William “Bill” Skaggs November 22, 1955. He preceded her in death November 11, 2010.
She is survived by one daughter, Jean Black of Louisville; special friend, Pam Shofner of Louisville; special nieces: Betty Jewell Hinton of Campbellsville and Lisa Gail Rafferty of Louisville, who helped care for her; several other nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters: Wilson Smith, Willard Smith, Gene Smith, Blanche Hedgespeth, Vernetta Durham, Lola Little, Betty Gaddie and Roberta Shipp.

Martha Marcum of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Arvin Thomas Burba and Eva Lee Phillips Burba, was born September 25, 1924, in Larue County, Kentucky. She died at 12:25 A.M., Wednesday, September 26, 2012 in Campbellsville. Age: 88
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Saloma Baptist Church.
She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She united in marriage to William Marrell Marcum August 5, 1939. He preceded her in death February 2, 1995.
She is survived by five sons and one daughter: Tommy Marcum and wife, Shirley of Greensburg, Mike Marcum and wife, Annetta, Hack Marcum and wife, Sylvia, Harold Marcum, Larry Marcum and wife, Darlene and Shelia Morgeson and husband, Lanny of Campbellsville; thirteen grandchildren: David Marcum of California, John Marcum and wife, Laura Lee, Josh Marcum and wife, Lynn, Brandi Marcum, Angie Marcum-Call and husband, Casey, Sherri Benningfield, and Dianna Milby and husband, Todd of Campbellsville, Tim Marcum of Simpsonville, Joe Morgeson and wife, Tammy of Berea, Daphni Price and husband, Jeremy of Georgetown, Rodney Morgeson and wife, Misty of Bardstown, Joey Livers and Jimmy Dan Livers of Lebanon; eighteen great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn Benningfield, Andrew Benningfield, Hannah Marcum, Jacob Marcum, Luke Marcum, Landon Marcum, Weston Mitchell, Riley Milby, Madie Call, Chelsey Morgeson, Zach Morgeson, Cameron Morgeson, Madison Morgeson, Olivia Price, Shiana Livers, Joseph Livers, Samuel Livers and J. She was also preceded in death by a son, William Robert Marcum in infancy; one grandson, William Boyd Perkins, III and three brothers and two sisters: Frank Burba, Tom Burba, Floyd Burba, Mary Lee Davis and Lucy Helen Harned.

Alberta French of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Willie Sprowles and Irene Yates Sprowles, was born March 7, 1937, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 4:40 P.M., Saturday, September 22, 2012 in Campbellsville. Age: 75
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Zion Separate Baptist Church.
She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She united in marriage to William H. (Buster) French January 16, 1954.
Besides her husband, Buster French, she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Annetta Reynolds and husband, Gary of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Austin Reynolds and wife, Kaylin of Campbellsville and Miranda Coffey and husband, Richard and Brittany Shuffett and husband, Evan of Greensburg; five great-grandchildren: Gavin Coffey, Carlee Coffey, Brooklyn Shuffett, Kayla Shuffett and Jaida Shuffett all of Greensburg; two brothers and two sisters: Glevins Sprowles, Coleman Sprowles and Geneva Shofner of Campbellsville, and Chrystal Sullivan of Valley Station; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
