Conrad Neil “DOC” Waters of Campbellsville, Kentucky, son of the late Marion Esley Waters and Jewell C. Childers Wateres was born in Charleston, West Virginia, April 4, 1941. He diedat 2:45 A.M., Saturday, March 12, 2011 in Campbellsville.  Age: 69             He retired from Union Carbide as a construction inspector and superintendent. He united in marriage to Judy Ann Hammock June 10, 1961.              Besides his wife, Judy Waters of Campbellsville, Kentucky, he is survived by one daughter and one son: Shawn Carter of Campbellsville, Kentucky and Neil Waters and wife, Rhonda of Bayview, Texas; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; one brother, Donald R. Waters and wife, Martie of West Virginia.

Eugene Blakenship, 79

Eugene Blakenship of  Owensboro, Kentucky, formerly of Campbellsville, son of the late Oscar Owen Blakenship and Anna Belle Arvin Blakenship was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, October 15, 1931. He died at 6:53 A.M., Saturday, March 12, 2011 in Owensboro.    Age:79       He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Army. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Owensboro. He was a member of the Ensor Masonic Lodge #729 F&AM.        He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Christine and Clay Rogers of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by seven sisters and one brother: Lois Burress, Ruby Blakenship, Thelma Marlow, Vera Williams, Nan Witrick, Beulah Bright, Geneva Brown and J.C. Blakenship.

Genneive Tarter of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Griffin B. Chewning and Cecil Ella Todd Chewning, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, May 20, 1918. She died at 4:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 8, 2011 in Campbellsville. Age: 92

She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church.

She was a former employee of Penn & Ratcliffe Store and Caulk Furniture.

She united in marriage to Elbert Tarter November 18, 1946. He preceded her in

death in November 26, 1991.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Lyndi Tarter of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Ann Tarter of Florida, Chris Tarter and wife, Jenna of Tennessee, Lori Christensen and husband, Kevin of Kansas and Tricia Adams and husband, David of Georgetown; eight great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters: Bobby Chewning and wife, Peggy, Mary Jean Jeffries and husband, Cosby and Pauline Kerr of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandy Clark March 22, 1994 and one brother and two sisters: William Chewning, Alma Philpott and Katherine Chewning in infancy.

Harold Shelton of Greensburg, son of the late Harrison Shelton and Allene Grant Shelton Corbin Patterson, was born in Adair County, Kentucky, September 28, 1947.  He died at 8:50 P.M., Monday, March 7, 2011 in Campbellsville.    Age:  63

He was a mechanic and former employee of Cox Interior Supply in Campbellsville.

He professed faith in Christ and attended Amazing Grace Church in Columbia.

He is survived by one daughter, Donna Marie Young and special friend, Rick Reynolds of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee; five step-children:  Dale Estes and Patricia Bradley of Campbellsville, Andy Estes of Columbia, Tommy Baker of Greensburg and Tina Baker of Louisville; three granddaughters:  Sylena Young, Syrena Young and Sydney Young of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee; eight step-grandchildren; two brothers and four sisters:  Dale Corbin and wife, Carla, Ronnie Corbin and wife, Leslie, Bea Brown and husband, Archie, Brenda Hicks and husband, Carl, Martina Corbin and Debbie Nolley and husband, Jimmy of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harrison Shelton and two step-fathers, Howard Corbin and Eldridge Patterson.

He had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Palestine Baptist Church.

He was a retired heavy equipment operator.

He is survived by one daughter, Melissa Dawn Smith of Campbellsville; one granddaughter, Candace Lauren Gribbins of Williamstown, West Virginia; one brother and his wife, Terry L. and Connie Smith of Parkersburg, West Virginia; several other relatives and many friends.

He was also preceded in death by his sister, Opal Jean Leftwich
