Martha Bailey, 90

Mrs. Martha Evelyn Bailey of Campbellsville passed from this life on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. Born on May 7, 1931 in Louisville to the late George and Elsie (Fine) Rigsby, she was 90 years, 8 months, and 11 days of age. She was a former employee of Fisher Packing Company and was a homemaker. Mrs. Bailey enjoyed living a simple life, and raised many a flower garden. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a charter member of Woodlawn Christian Church.
Mrs. Bailey was the widower of Mr. Harold Bailey. Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Glen Rigsby, and a grandson.
She leaves to cherish her memory:
Five children: Perry Rooker, Roger Rooker and wife Ina, Scott Rooker and wife Terry, Gary Rooker, and Becky Lentz and husband Richard,
Nineteen grandchildren,
Twenty-eight great-grandchildren,
Thirteen great-great grandchildren,
And a host of extended family and friends.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Bailey on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Fella Wilson will officiate. Interment will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 21, after 12:00 noon until time for the service.

Vincent Smith, 33

Vincent Aubrey Smith of Campbellsville, the son of Mark Dewaine and Elizabeth “Liz” (Miller) Smith was born May 28, 1988 in Lexington, KY and departed this life on Thursday, January 13, 2022 in Calhoun, Georgia. He was 33 years of age.

He was a contract painter and member of the Robinson Creek Baptist Church.

Vincent enjoyed playing guitar, listening to music of all kinds, reading, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his parents Mark and Liz Smith of Campbellsville; a sister: Madelyne Elizabeth “Maddie” Smith of Atlanta; a brother: Sabin Jeremiah Thompson of Florida, a niece Breanna Elizabeth Thompson of Florence, Alabama; his grandfather: Doyle Smith of Louisville; his companion: Desiree Bunch of Lafayette, Indiana and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Vincent Aubrey Smith will be Sunday at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R.Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Green River Memorial Cemetery.

Bro. Jason Roop will be officiating

Family requests visitation from 5-8 P.M. on Saturday and after 8:00 A.M. Sunday at the funeral home.

Robert “Bob” Wann, 72

Robert Barnett “Bob” Barnett, of Campbellsville, the son of the late Armond Wann and Patricia Mae (Vandvyne) Pierce, was born December 13, 1949 in Macon, Mississippi and departed this life on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 in Sarasota, Florida after and Illness while on vacation.

Bob had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church and was a retired employee of the United States Postal Service as a postmaster.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing golf, fishing and was a great grill cook.

He is survived by his wife: Kathy (Garner) Wann; four children: Cindy Holland, Christopher Wann, Amber Flinchum and husband Jordan and Krystal Eddleman and husband Shane; three brothers and two sisters: Arlan Craig Wann and wife Dana, Betty Hammett and husband Bill, William Grant “Bill” Wann, Steven Mark Wann and partner Zoubir and Susan Elaine Pierce; a step-sister and two step-brothers: Larry Pierce and wife Sue, Johnnie Pierce and wife Belinda and Ramona “Mona” Kirkland and husband Kim; a brother-in-law: Rev. Lanny Garner and wife Linda; a sister-in-law: Peggy A. Hayes and husband Tommy; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family has chosen cremation and a memorial service will be held at a later.

GARY KEITH HUGHES OBITUARY

Gary Keith Hughes, 70, of Elkhorn, Kentucky, son of the late Robert Hughes and Connie Victoria Elliot, was born August 26th, 1951, in Taylor County and departed this life on Monday, January 17th, 2022, in Lexington, Kentucky.

He united in marriage to Shirley Bault Hughes on June 19th, 1970, who survives.

He professed his faith in Christ and was of Baptist Faith. He attended Yuma Baptist Church and was a Chairman of Ushers for the church. Gary was drafted and served time during the Vietnam War for the Army. He enjoyed farming and was the owner and operator of Hughes Enterprises of trailers, parts, and sales. He loved all his family and friends dearly.

Gary is also survived by:

One daughter: Connie Newton and her husband, Michael, of Campbellsville.

Three grandchildren: Faith Newton, Baylee Newton, and Robert Newton of Campbellsville.

Three brothers: Wayne Hughes, and his wife, Gladys, of Casey County; Larry Hughes and his wife, Linda, of Knifley; Roger Hughes and his wife, Donna, of Campbellsville.

Two sisters: Mildred Druin of Campbellsville and Doris Reynolds of Campbellsville.

Besides his parents, Gary is preceded in death by:

Four sisters: Margret Hughes, Jewell Hughes, Shirley Hughes, and Barbara Henderson.

One brother: Orville Hughes.

VISITATION: Friday, January 21st, 2022, from 5pm-8pm EST at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.

FUNERAL: Saturday, January 22nd, 2022, at 1pm EST at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.

Bro. Alan Todd and Bro. Terry Wilder will be officiating the service.

Pallbearers are Cameron Wright, Cameron Hughes, Dillan Potts, David Mattingly, David Gabbert, Jeff Henderson, Stan Henderson.

Debbie Ramsey of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Charles Rogers and Martha Hampton Rogers, was born May 25, 1960 in Christian County, Kentucky. She died at 7:32 P.M., Monday, January 17, 2022 in Campbellsville. Age: 61
She professed faith in Christ and attended Friendship Baptist Church.
Debbie served her country honorably in the United States Army Reserve.
She was an employee of Amazon in Campbellsville.
Debbie enjoyed animals and nature and always found a way to see the good in people.
She united in marriage to Kenneth Ramsey, Sr. February 15, 1975.
Besides her husband, Kenneth Ramsey, Sr. of Campbellsville, Debbie is survived by two sons and one daughter: Matthew Ramsey and wife, Amanda and Kenneth Ramsey, Jr. and wife, Mika of Campbellsville and Angel Suhal and husband, Alex of Bowling Green; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Justin Ramsey.

HADLEIGH JADE WISE OBITUARY

Our precious little angel, Hadleigh Jade Wise, beloved infant daughter of Morgan Hagan and Jacob Wise of Elkhorn, Kentucky, gained her wings and went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 15th, 2022.  Hadleigh was born Saturday, January 15th, 2022, at Springview Hospital in Lebanon, Kentucky.

An angel wrote in the book of life sweet baby’s date of birth then whispered Hadleigh’s name softly as she closed the book, “Too beautiful for earth sweet child.”

Besides her parents, Hadleigh is survived by:

One sister:  Claire Wise of Elkhorn, Kentucky.

Grandparents:  Kevin and Carla Claycomb of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; Larry Wise of Elkhorn, Kentucky; and James and Julia Hagan of Loretto.

The service for Miss Hadleigh Jade Wise will be held privately at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Elkhorn United Methodist Church where she was part of the United Methodist Women.
Tina was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and later retired from Green Hill Manor as a CNA. She loved her family and her dog, “Sissy” and enjoyed Hallmark movies.
Tina is survived by her son and daughter, Robbie Pelly of Campbellsville and Christina Pelly and wife, Sara Adams of Lexington; her mother, Peggy Tucker; brother, Chris Tucker; sister, Lisa Holmes and husband, Maurice of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Wanda Mae Pierce, the daughter of the late Clifton and Fairy (McDowell) Shanks, was born April 21, 1938 in Central City, KY and departed this life on Saturday, January 15, 2022 in at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab. She was 83 years of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the St. Mark United Methodist Church and a forty three year employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville and later worked at the former Medco Nursing Home.
She enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, working puzzles and bowling.
Wanda united in marriage to Ellis David Pierce, who preceded her in death on July 1, 1987.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister: Glenna Faye Shanks as an infant and a brother: Ronnie Shanks; a son-in-law: Donnie Warren and a daughter-in-law: Tammy Pierce.
Survivors include: three daughters and a son: Vanessa Warren, Vonda Reynolds and husband Todd, Vickie Harmon and husband Jody all of Campbellsville and David Pierce and wife Rebecca of Arkansas; two sisters: Betty Jones of Florida, Robbie “Sissy” Grounds and husband J.D. of Texas; two brothers: Jerry Shanks of Hazard and Bobby Shanks and wife Sammie of Tennessee; nine grandchildren: Nathan (Beth) Cox, Josh Warren, Jordan (Melissa) Reynolds, Megan (Alan) Bailey, Kelli Pierce, Spencer (Layeisha) Pierce, Gracie Pierce, Madison Harmon and Sawyer Harmon; six great-grandchildren: Haylee, Esdon, Emery, Claire, Tatum and Brady; a brother-in-law: Pete Pierce and wife Sue of Campbellsville and a host of other relatives and friends.

Ronald “Ronnie” Clay Durham

Ronald “Ronnie” Clay Durham, 76, of Russell Springs, Kentucky, son of the late Floyd Jehonnas and Mabel West Durham was born January 10th, 1946, in Casey County and departed this life on Wednesday, January 12th, 2022, at Russell County Hospital.

He professed his faith in Christ and was of Baptist faith.  Ronnie loved being outdoors on the land and enjoyed watching classic western movies and Fox News.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Durham on December 3rd, 2021, and united in marriage to her on March 13th, 1968.

Survived by his four loving daughters: Pamela Durham of Russell Springs, Tammy Sue Bradshaw of Adair County, Amanda Durham of Campbellsville, and Jacklyn Durham of Russell Springs.

Four grandchildren:  Kaitlyn and Klay Warriner of Campbellsville; Allison Stewart of Jamestown; and Ty Wesley of Jamestown.

Four great-grandchildren:  Alexis Stewart, Robert Stewart, Jordan Stewart, and Raelynn Wesley, all of Jamestown, Kentucky.

Four nephews:  Tim Adams, Jeff Adams, Mike Adams, and Chris Adams, all of Russell County, Kentucky.

Besides his parents and wife, Ronnie is preceded in death by one half-brother, Jack B. Adams and one sister, Diana Durham.
