Brandon Nunn Dicken of Campbellsville, son of Rev. Paul J. Dicken and Brenda Nunn Dicken, was born January 23, 1975 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 12:42 A.M., Sunday, November 7, 2021 in Campbellsville. Age: 46
He professed faith in Christ and was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church in Campbellsville.
Brandon was a bus driver for Green County School System and a farmer.
He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, farming and his dogs.
He is survived by his parents, Rev. Paul J. and Brenda Dicken of Campbellsville; one sister and one brother: Paula Perkins and husband, Brent and Richard Dicken and wife, Laura of Campbellsville, one niece and five nephews: Luke Perkins, Tyler Perkins, Kacy Perkins, Abbie Dicken, Jake Dicken and Levi Dicken; and many other relatives and friends.

STANLEY COOMER OBITUARY

Stanley Lee Coomer, age 58, of Campbellsville, KY, passed away on November 2nd, 2021 after a valiant battle against COVID-19.  Stanley was born October 7th, 1963, to Lola Mae Coomer and the late Herbert Coomer.

He married Mary Margret Scott on December 27th, 2014.  They reside in Campbellsville, Kentucky.  Stanley was employed by Hometown Butcher Shop in Columbia.  He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed the outdoors.  Making people laugh came natural to him.

Survivors include his mother:  Lola Mae Coomer of Knifely.

His wife:  Mary Margaret Coomer.

Two sisters:  Annie Coomer, of Knifley and Bertha Dabney, and her husband, Terry, of Lebanon, Tennessee.

Three stepdaughters:  Debbie Brady of Lebanon, KY; Patty Raley of St. Mary’s GA; and Vickie Scott of Loretto.

Five step-grandchildren and one step great-grandson.

Five nieces and nephews.

Stan was preceded in death by his father and an infant sibling.

VISITATION:  Friday, November 5th, 2021, from 5pm – 8pm EST at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.

FUNERAL:  Saturday, November 6th, 2021 at  11am EST at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.

DOROTHY MAE EDRINGTON OBITUARY

Dorothy Mae Edrington, 93, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Sam Nelson and Ida Stearman Nelson was born February 18th, 1928, in Taylor County and departed this life on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021, at Grandview Nursing Home.

She was married to Joe Edrington in 1967 and he preceded her in death on April 4th, 2001.

She professed her faith in Christ and was of Presbyterian faith. She retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville after 30 years.

Survived by:

Two sons: Richard Simpson and his wife, Sandy, of Campbellsville; Danny Simpson and his wife, Norma, of Campbellsville.

Five grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.

Several nieces and nephews along with other family members and friends.

Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Edrington is preceded in death by:

Two sisters: Bertha Veatch and Ermine Harris.

One brother: Shelby Nelson

ALEX KEITH GUPTON OBITUARY

Alexander “Alex” Keith Gupton, 26, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, son of Darren Gupton and Angela Skaggs, both of Campbellsville, was born on April 7th, 1995, in Hardin County and departed this life on Saturday, November 6th, 2021.

He professed his faith in Christ and was of Christian faith. He attended 3Trees Church in Campbellsville.

Alex was a 2013 graduate of Taylor County High School. He started playing football at 5 years old and proudly wore #25 football jersey for the Taylor County Cardinals where he played many positions throughout his high school career. He was an avid UK and Colts fan. He enjoyed hunting, working, and loved his family. He was currently employed by Caldwell Tanks as a “TANKIE” welder building water towers. He was known by his family and friends as “being tougher than nails.”  Alex attended WKU and Lexington Community College.

Alex is survived by:

His father:  Darren Gupton (Beth) of Campbellsville.

His mother:  Angela Skaggs (Robert) of Campbellsville.

One brother:  Jake Gupton of Campbellsville.

Six sisters:  Joscelyn Milby of Campbellsville; Macaela Hansford of Campbellsville; Saylor Gupton of Campbellsville; Hannah Gupton of Campbellsville; Raina Simpson (Dustin); and Sawyer Gupton of Campbellsville.

Grandparents:  David and Rita Byrne of Leitchfield; Doris Hansford and Tretha Dugger of Campbellsville.

One niece and one nephew along with many other relatives and friends.

Alex is preceded in death by his grandparents: Gerry Dugger, Rufus F. Hansford, Sr., and Jenna Rose Ferguson.

Marilyn Smith of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Robert Lenuel “Pug” and Pearline Ford Smith, was born April 29, 1947 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 9:00 A.M., Sunday, November 7, 2021 in Campbellsville.             Age: 74
She professed faith in Christ and was a life-long member of Robinson Creek Baptist Church where she was active with the Women on a Mission.
Marilyn was a retired state employee, beginning work as a secretary for District Judges Ed Abell and Mike Hall, Sr and later, went to work for Circuit Judge Mike Hall, Sr. until his retirement.  At that time, she began working as a deputy for the Circuit Clerk’s office.
Marilyn loved and lived for her family. She was an avid fan and follower of her great-grandson, Channing’s football games. She also enjoyed going to Arts and Crafts Shows and Antique Shopping.
She united in marriage to Noah Michael Smith August 14, 1964.  
Besides her husband, Mike Smith of Campbellsville, she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Eric Elder of Campbellsville; two great-grandchildren: Channing Tungate and Rhylen Cochran and special friend Gail Cochran of Campbellsville, one brother and one sister: Lenuel Smith and wife Bonnie of Campbellsville and Carolyn Larimore and husband, Rhea of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tatem Ashley Smith and one brother, Kenneth Hartwell Smith.

Nancy Drucilla Gregory of Louisville, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late V. B. Mason and Nena Dalton Mason was born May 11, 1933 in Franklin, North Carolina. She died at 5:30 A.M., Saturday, November 6, 2021 in Louisville. Age: 88
She was of the Baptist Faith and was a homemaker.
Nancy was a great mother. She loved her flowers and gardening
She united in marriage to Frank Hayes Gregory April 18, 1959. He preceded her in death October 15, 2015.
She is survived by two sons: Mike Gregory and wife, Tonya of Crestwood and Ron Gregory and wife, Sharon of Goshen; four grandchildren: Zachary Gregory, Mason Gregory, Kasi Gregory and Amy Watkins and husband, Sam of Versailles; two great-grandsons, Kasen and Cameron Watkins; a sister, Frances Mason of North Carolina and a brother, Cardell Mason of Michigan; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Gregory; and three brothers and three sisters: Carl Mason, Jake Mason, Eddie Mason, Mattie Mason, Jennieve Woodard and Kathleen Buchanan.

Gary James Viers, age 64, of Campbellsville, KY passed away on November 5th, 2021, at his home. He was born February 1st, 1957, to the late James Viers and Mattie Bell Bray.

 

He married Debra Viers on September 29th, 1978.  They reside in Campbellsville, Kentucky. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed the outdoors. He professed faith in Christ and attended Stoner Creek United Methodist Church.

 

Survivors include his wife, Debra Viers, of Campbellsville, KY.

 

One daughter:  Ciji Blair and her husband, Daniel, of Campbellsville.

 

Three grandchildren: William Blair, Serenity Blair, and Jasmin Blair of Campbellsville.

 

Two sisters and three brothers: Teresa Richardson of Louisville; Joy Rawlings and husband, Sherril of Lebanon; Larry Viers, Randy Viers and William Viers all of Campbellsville.

 

Several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

 

Gary was preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Roland Viers and Verly Brown.

Betty Bolin

Betty Bolin of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Leo Edward Penrod and Juanita Mizell Penrod was born March19, 1937 in Campbell, Missouri. She died at 7:33 P.M., Thursday, November 4, 2021 in Louisville. Age: 84
Betty professed faith in Christ and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church and had been attending the Rock Church with her daughter for the last several years.
She worked and retired as a certified nursing assistant for many years at Metzmeier Nursing Home.
She was a tough lady with a strong faith in the Lord. She never let her fears hold her back from living her life. She learned to drive at age 60 after the sudden death of her husband and made several road trips afterward.
She dearly loved, and cared for her family and others as she was able. She kept an extensive prayer list to remind her of the prayer concerns of others.
She united in marriage to Rev. Kenneth Bolin May 10, 1955. He preceded her in death August 26, 1995.
She is survived by three sons and one daughter: Rev. Kenneth Bolin, Jr. and wife, Carol of Manchester, Terri Bolin, Stephen Bolin and wife, Annette and Jeff Bolin and wife, Nikki of Campbellsville; nine grandchildren: Amanda Varney and husband, Carl, Kenneth Bolin, Andy Bolin and wife, Alexx and Ruth Evrard of Manchester, Amber Kemp and husband, Tommy, Kramer Bolin, Bekah LaJudice and husband, Jonathan, Donna Grace Miller and Mackenzie Miller of Campbellsville; two step-grandsons: Kaleb Lewis and wife, Ariel and Isaac Underwood; six great-grandsons and an expected great-granddaughter; one sister, Ruth Ray and husband, John of Missouri; and may other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Xabela.

At her request there will be a private graveside service Monday, November 8, 2021 at Brookside Cemetery.

Paula Blanton Foster of Greensburg, the daughter of the late Paul and Lyda (Ball) Blanton, passed away Thursday in Campbellsville at the Taylor Regional Hospital. She was 74 years of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Christian Church.
She was a retired teacher, having taught in Marion County, St. Catharine College and Campbellsville University and later became a Chemical Dependence Counselor and a real estate agent.
Paula enjoyed decorating, buying and flipping houses, yoga and walking her dog Sophia.
Survivors include her daughter: Katie Moss and husband Tracy of Campbellsville; two brothers: Larry Blanton and wife Sandy and Roger Blanton, both of Indiana; two grandchildren: Lauren Moss and Tyler Moss both of Campbellsville, four great-grandchildren: Evie and Indi Durrett, Jake and Heidi Moss; her former spouse: H.L. Foster and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Paula Blanton Foster will be conducted Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Campbellsville Christian church with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
