Mary Garrett of Campbellsville, daughter of the late John Albertis Riggs and Ella Lorenza Newton Riggs, was born May 17, 1945, in Nelson County, Kentucky. She died at 6:54 A.M., Thursday, April 20, 2017 in Campbellsville. Age: 71
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Church of Christ.
Mary united in marriage to Mac Arthur Garrett in October 1962 and he preceded her in death November 17, 2007.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons: Mac Annette Perkins and husband, Michael, Paula Garrett, Mandy Garrett, Arthur Lee Garrett and Joseph Garrett and wife, Shelly of Campbellsville; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Nancy Baldock Overton

Nancy Baldock Overton of Campbellsville, daughter of the late John Morrison and Dessie Wright Morrison, was born May 10, 1937, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 8:40 A.M., Tuesday, April 18, 2017 in Campbellsville. Age: 79
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Bible Baptist Tabernacle where she played the organ for many years.
She graduated from the Louisville Beauty College in 1964 and had been a hairdresser for over fifty years. When Nancy wasn’t at the Beauty Shop, she would be working in her flower garden or working in the yard. Nancy loved entertaining people and cooking Sunday dinner for friends and family.
She united in marriage to Wayne Baldock August 26, 1955 and he preceded her in death February 14, 2007. She later united in marriage to R. J. Overton January 8, 2011.
Besides her husband, R. J. Overton of Campbellsville, she is survived by two sons: Mike Baldock of Campbellsville and Mark Baldock of Larue County; one grandson, Cody Michael Baldock of Campbellsville; two brothers: Bill Morrison and wife, Josie of Campbellsville and Howard Morrison and wife, Sharon of Topanga Canyon, California; two sisters-in-law: Stella Morrison of Campbellsville and Eula Morrison of Albany; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Nancy was preceded in death by four brothers: James A. Morrison, Charles Morrison, Edward Morrison and Elton “Chief” Morrison.

Charles Leroy Winn of Lexington, formerly of Campbellsville, son of the late
T. S. Winn, Sr. and Helen Elizabeth Smith Winn, was born May 12, 1943, in Leitchfield, Kentucky. He died at 10:59 P.M., Monday, April 17, 2017 in Lexington. Age: 73
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.
Charles was a retired employee of General Electric in Louisville for twenty years.
He is survived by two sons: Charles Steven Winn of Louisville and David Marshall Winn of Campbellsville; two brothers: Ted Winn, Jr. and wife, Mary Alice of Lawrenceburg and James R. Winn and wife, Pitts of Lexington; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Ada Jones Antle of Campbellsville, daughter of the late W. T. Strong and Lula Hickman Strong, was born June 8, 1920, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 10:55 P.M., Saturday, April 15, 2017 in Campbellsville. Age: 96
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Elk Horn United Methodist Church for forty-five years. If you did not find her enjoying her yard work, tending her garden, canning her vegetables, or mending something with a needle and thread, you more than likely would find her fishing, as this was one of her favorite pastimes.
Ada united in marriage to Wallace Jones August 14, 1938 and he preceded her in death June 20, 1971. She later united in marriage to Herman Guy Antle October 14, 1972 and he preceded her in death July 20, 2000.
She is survived by two daughters: Judy Wagoner of Campbellsville and Janet Scott and husband, James Henry of Ekron; two step-children: Gloria Kreilen and J. D. Antle and wife, Denise of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Julie Montgomery of Campbellsville, Greg Scott of Hardinsburg and Travis Scott and wife, Erica of Ekron; six great-grandchildren: Jade Morton and husband, Jon of Lexington, Tristan Richerson and wife, Jackie of South Carolina, Anderson Scott and Scarlett Scott of Hardinsburg, Garrett Scott and Allie Scott of Ekron; one great-great-granddaughter, Emma Morton and a great-great grandson on the way; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Strong and a brother in infancy; two half-brothers: Art Strong and Guy Strong; two half-sisters: Wilma Tandy and Bea Koerner and a son-in-law, Charles Wagoner on November 16, 2014.

Kathy Ellen Spalding, 57

Kathy Ellen Spalding, the daughter of the late Herbert and Fay Dever Hardin, was born Wednesday, May 6, 1959 in Lebanon, KY and departed this life on Friday, April 14, 2017 in Lebanon at the home of her sister. She was 57 years, 11 months and 9 days of age.
She was of the Baptist Faith and was a former factory worker for Inoac and was a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons: Ronnie Spalding and wife Courtney of Campbellsville, Joseph Spalding of Lebanon and Wesley Spalding and companion Tricia Weakley of Loretto; a daughter: Autumn Tungate and husband John of Springfield; four sisters and a brother: Cinda Smothers, Krista Kemp and husband George and Jody Hardin and wife Marcia all of Lebanon, Cammy Fugate and husband Mike of Indiana and Cherry Hayes of Gravel Switch.
Also surviving are ten grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends survive.
Mrs. Spalding was also preceded in death by a brother: Wesley Hardin.

The funeral service for Kathy Ellen Spalding will be Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
Bro. Troy Mattingly will be officiating.
Visitation after 11:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Edna L. Gunsaules of Mannsville, daughter of the late Lucien Lawrence and Augustine Coty Lawrence, was born September 6, 1928, in Union County, New Jersey. She died at 2:57 A.M., Friday, April 14, 2017 in Lebanon. Age: 88
She professed faith in Christ and attended Mannsville United Methodist Church.
She was a retired secretary at Hunterdon School in New Jersey.
Edna united in marriage to George Gunsaules, Sr. June 19, 1949 and he preceded her in death August 14, 2000.
She is survived by one son, Philip Gunsaules of Mannsville; one grandson, Philip Gunsaules, Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina; three brothers: Lucien Lawrence, Jr. and Robert Lawrence of New Jersey and Ray Lawrence of Florida; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Edna was also preceded in death by a son, George Gunsaules, Jr. January 10, 2004 and one brother and one sister: George Lawrence and Margaret Paige.

Doris Holt of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Howard Howell and Maudelene LaRue Howell was born June 27, 1930, in Grand Rivers, Kentucky. She died at 3:01 P.M., Thursday, April 13, 2017 in Campbellsville after a long illness. Age: 86
She professed faith in Christ and was a long time member of First United Methodist Church.
Doris worked for Dr. W.R. Mann, Campbellsville High School, Campbellsville Housing Authority and First United Methodist church but also loved gardening, encouraging others and spending time with her grandchildren.
She united in marriage to Norris Holt September 16, 1951 and he preceded her in death April 22, 2008. To this union, three children were born, Debbie, Steve and Sherry.
She is survived by one son and two daughters: Steve Holt and wife, Debbie of Elk Horn, Sherry Foley and husband, Bob of Campbellsville and Debbie Metzger and husband, Scott of Paducah; two grandsons: Jeremy Holt and wife, Jessica and David Holt and wife, Sarah of Elkhorn; two great-granddaughters: Maylee and Alaina Holt of Elkhorn; one sister, Ramona Guess and husband, Carl of Indiana; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Jason White on November 7, 2010; and three brothers and one sister.

The family would also like to thank the staff and residents of Bluegrass Way for their compassion and kindness shown to Doris over the last five years.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Roberts Baptist Church where she was an active participant of the Golden Gals. She loved her church and proudly served the Lord through her cleaning ministries at the church.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and her grandchildren were her life.
Aileen united in marriage to Calvin Russell Skaggs March 17, 1951 and he preceded her in death August 7, 1992.
She is survived by one son and two daughters: Russell Skaggs and wife, Linda, Bonnie Webster and husband, Jimmy and Robbin Cox of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Andi Skaggs of Bowling Green, Jenny Skaggs and Jonah Cox of Campbellsville; three brothers and one sister: Jim Milby and wife, Linda, Bill Milby, Bob Milby and wife, Jane and Lucille Orange of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

James “Sonny” Loy

James “Sonny” Loy, age 76 years, 7 months & 22 days was born on August 18, 1940 in Adair County Kentucky. He went to be with the Lord after a struggle with Alzheimer’s, surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at the Magnolia Village Facility in Bowling Green, Ky.
James was a graduate of Taylor County High School, and was Valedictorian of the graduating class of 1960. He earned an Associates degree from Lindsey Wilson College and a Bachelors degree from Western Kentucky University. He then went on to earn his Masters of Divinity from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
James faithfully served the United Methodist Church as a minister from 1959 until his home going. During that time he was appointed to the Bishop’s Cabinet as District Superintendent for two different terms. From 1973 to 1977 he also served as Director of Development at Lindsey Wilson College while teaching Religious Studies.
James was married to his high school sweetheart, Brenda Upchurch Loy for 55 wonderful years. To their loving union two children were born: Charles Anthus “Chuck” Loy and Ladonna Carol Loy Hunton, who is married to Mark Hunton. He was a loving Papaw to his three grandchildren: Sarah Elizabeth Hunton, James Brandon Hunton and Charles Anthus “Chaz” Loy the 2nd. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Audra Hovious Loy and his Father, Anthus Loy, Jr. He is survived by his five siblings: Glendal “Buddy” (and his wife Deloris Loy), Betty (and her husband Lawrence Brockman), Juanita (and her husband Dean Antle), Ina (and her husband Roger Rooker), and Larry (and his wife Darlene Loy). He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 P.M., Tuesday evening, April 11, 2017 at The Campbellsville First United Methodist Church. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 P.M., on April 12, 2017 at The Campbellsville First United Methodist Church, 317 E. Main St., Campbellsville, Ky. Internment will follow at the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association so that a cure can be found to this dreadful disease.

The family would also like to extend special thanks to the loving staffs of the Allegro Memory Care Home in Elizabethtown, Ky and Magnolia Village Facility in Bowling Green, Ky, both of which specialize in caring for needs of those with Alzheimer’s and related dementia.

Nellie Brewer of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Jerome Edward Shofner and Lou Tishie Cash Shofner was born May 22, 1930 in Marion County, Kentucky. She died at 12:06 P.M., Friday, April 7, 2017 in Campbellsville. Age: 86
She professed faith in Christ and attended First General Baptist Church.
She enjoyed sewing and could make anything from a picture without a pattern.
She was gifted at crocheting and made many beautiful doilies.
She is survived by six daughters: Jo Ann Morris and husband, Ronnie, Roberta Walker and husband, Gordon, Wanda Skaggs and husband, Randall, Paula Brewer and Pamela Morgan of Campbellsville and Jeannie Bell and husband, Gary of Hodgenville; thirteen grandchildren: Veronica Seales of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Rebecca Matney of Bowling Green, Alison Thompson of Georgetown, Cheryl Miller of Hodgenville, Jamie Morgan of Corbin, Jeremy Pike, Jessica Martin and Tisha Tungate of Greensburg, and Gwen Walker, Robbie Walker, Tracey Phillips, Crystal Morgan and Sean Whittle of Campbellsville; fifteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one daughter in infancy, Linda Pauline Brewer in 1947, one grandson in infancy, Jason Morgan in 1985; six sisters and five brothers: Bessie Rice, Mina Brewer, Charlie Shofner, Ray Shofner, Rosie Harris, Katie Shofner, Emma Hedgespeth and three brothers and one sister in infancy.
