Lana Williams Martin of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Golden Williams and Rebecca Shive Williams, was born July 28, 1942 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 9:50 P.M., Saturday, March 25, 2017 in Campbellsville. Age: 74
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Green River Memorial Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom.
Lana loved spending time with her nieces and nephews and treated them as her own.
She united in marriage to Elwin Martin, Jr., on June 30, 1961.
Besides her husband Elwin Martin, Jr. of Campbellsville, she is survived by one sister and one brother: Patricia Pierce and husband, Bobby and Richard Williams and wife, Linda of Campbellsville; one sister-in-law, Sharon Herron of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Brenda Ann Crew Wethington, 51

Brenda Ann Crew Wethington, the daughter of Adrian Crew of Russell Springs and the late Helen Hall Crew, was born Saturday, October 2, 1965 in Russell County and departed this life on Friday in Campbellsville. She was 51 years, 5 months and 22 days of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith. She was a former Certified Nursing Assistant and a homemaker.
Brenda enjoyed swimming, playing games of horseshoe, music and nature, but best of all playing and spending time with her grandchildren.
Besides her father, she is survived by four daughters: Casey Douglas, Korey Hines, Latasha Walker and Adrian Lee Crew all of Campbellsville and Sunshine Statham of Casey County; six brothers and sisters: Rita Hale, James Robert Hale and wife Kay, Vicky Wade, William Hale and Sue Hale all of Casey County and Holly Price and husband Bobby of Dunnville; her companion: Wayne Mikel of Campbellsville.
Nine grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends survive.

The funeral service for Brenda Ann Crew Wethington will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville with burial to follow in the Fair Cemetery in Liberty.
Visitation after 10 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Family requests that memorials be in the form of a donation to the funeral expense fund, which can be made at the funeral home.

Harold Alvord, 63

Mr. Harold Adren Alvord, the son of the late Harold Fred and Inez Young Alvord, was born Monday, June 22, 1953 in Dansbury, NY and departed this life on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 in Campbellsville at the home of his brother. He was 63 years of age.
He was of the Christian Faith and was a former factory worker.
Survivors include four brothers: Samuel P. Alvord and wife Elaine of Campbellsville, Daniel T. Alvord and wife Karen of Texas, Phillip Alvord and wife Virginia and Peter Alvord both of New York; three sisters: Naomi Ruth Beal of Illinois, Ester Jackson and Mary Donna Googins both of Texas and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Alvord was also preceded in death by two brothers: Jack and John Alvord.
A graveside service for Mr. Alvord will be conducted in Illinois at the Smith Cemetery.

James Woodard of Campbellsville, son of Mabel Ison Woodard and the late James L. “Jim” Woodard, was born on May 25, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan. He died at 1:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 22, 2017 in Campbellsville. Age: 60
He professed faith in Christ and was affiliated with the Truth Tabernacle.
James was a retired employee of General Motors in Michigan.
He was a member of the Shriners in Alpena, Michigan and very much enjoyed playing Santa Claus for children.
He is survived by his mother, Mabel Woodard of Campbellsville; one brother and one sister: David Mark Woodard and wife, Marlene of Whitmore Lake, Michigan and Jeanna Rae White and husband, Ronnie of Claire, Michigan; and many other relatives and friends.

Alvin Lee Richerson

Alvin Lee Richerson of Campbellsville, son of the late Harry M. Richerson and Nancy Griffin Richerson, was born on January 10, 1937, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 10:10 P.M., Monday, March 20, 2017 in Campbellsville. Age: 80
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
Alvin was a retired supervisor of Atmos Energy and a farmer and was also a member of the Pitman Masonic Lodge #124 F & AM.
He united in marriage to Fayola England April 5, 1958. To this union, four children were born: Michael, Kellie, Gary and Karen Jolynn.
Besides his wife, Fayola Richerson of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and one daughter: Michael Richerson and wife, Lorie and Kellie Jones and husband, Tim of Campbellsville; seven grandchildren: Kacie Colvin and husband, Wes and Kelsi Wilson and husband, Alex of Campbellsville, Mackenzie Humphress and husband, Scott of Bowling Green, Kasandra Pike and husband, John, Kori Richerson, Madison Jones and Keaton Jones of Campbellsville; one great-grandson, Sadler Colvin of Campbellsville; one brother, Elwood Richerson of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by two children: Gary Richerson and Karen Jolynn Richerson in infancy and one brother and one sister: Johnny Richerson and Louise England.

Alice Jean Bowen Stanfield

Alice Jean Bowen Stanfield of Campbellsville, daughter of the late William Rease Bowen and Alice Campbell Bowen, was born September 4, 1930 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 4:20 A.M., Saturday, March 18, 2017 in Lexington. Age: 86
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of First United Methodist Church. When she was able, she was an active member of the Upper Room Sunday School Class and Susan B. Loy Circle.
She was an employee of Fruit of the Loom until she retired to take care of her granddaughter. They became the best of friends and spent many fun hours together. She was an avid gardener, loved being outside and spending time with her family.
Her loving husband of twenty two years, Thomas O. Stanfield preceded her in death on September 22, 1974.
She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Stanfield Straley and husband, Jeffrey; and one granddaughter, LeAnn Stanfield Straley of Campbellsville and one sister, Marjorie Hendrickson of Columbia; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers: Helen Bowen, W.A. Bowen, W.R. Bowen and twin brothers in infancy, George Alfred and Richard Lee Bowen.

Kathy Marlene Pittman Hearon, the daughter of Mitchell Shreve and Lila Clements Rogers was born Monday, June 22, 1959 in Casey County, KY and departed this life on Saturday, March 18, 2017 in Lebanon at the Springview Hospital. She was 57 years, 8 months and 25 days of age.
She was of the Baptist Faith and was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom, a former nurse and former General Manager for Sonic in Campbellsville.
Kathy loved reading, the Bible was her favorite, she enjoyed watching old movies and her pride and joy was playing with her grandbabies.
She united in marriage to Donnie Pittman who preceded her in death. She later united in marriage to Larry Hearon, whom also preceded her in death.
Survivors include her parents: Mitchell Shreve his wife Sandra of Campbellsville and Lila Clements Rodgers of Casey County; her children: Samantha and Josh Esarey, Tabitha and Brandon Curry and Donovan and Morgan Pittman, all of Campbellsville; a brother: Jimmy Shreve and wife Vanessa of Campbellsville.
Also surviving are twelve grandchildren: AJ, James, Jacob, Savannah, Katherine and Samara Lane, Emma and Isabella Esarey, Karyzmah Pittman, Klayton Curry, Kaleb Curry and Kennedy Pittman; one great-grandchild: Gannon Lane; her close friend: Charlene Muncie of Campbellsville and a host of other relatives and friends.
Kathy was preceded in death by two brothers: Mike and Marcus Shreve.

The funeral service for Kathy Marlene Pittman Hearon will be conducted Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville with burial to follow in the Old Liberty Cemetery at Bradfordsville. Bro. Jeff Edwards will be officiating.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.

Sharon Hickerson Perry, formerly of Eminence, Kentucky, daughter of the late Edward Hickerson and Elmer Tungate Hickerson, was born May 17, 1953 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died Wednesday, March 8, 2017 in Villa Hills, Kentucky. Age: 63
Sharon united in marriage to Lewis Perry, who preceded her in death October 29, 2008.
She is survived by two daughters: Eva Luanne Sciscoe and husband, Paul of Independence, Kentucky and Andrea Perry of Cleves, Ohio; five grandchildren: Daniel and Henry Aug, Annmarie, Elizabeth and Vincent Sciscoe; one sister, Eva White and husband, Ralph of Campbellsville, Kentucky; other relatives and a host of friends.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.

James “Big Foot” McNear, 69

Mr. James “Big Foot” McNear of Campbellsville was born on July 9, 1947 in Louisville to Flossie (Keith) Warren and the late Bernard McNear. He departed this life on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville after an illness. He was 69 years, 8 months, and 3 days of age. Mr. McNear professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. He was a former truck driver and CB and HAM radio operator and loved talking to and meeting new people. It was not by accident that he was always on the Confederate side during Civil War renenactments, either.

Mr. McNear leaves to cherish his memory:

Three children: John McNear and wife Nikki of Colorado, Ray McNear of LaGrange, and Greg McNear of Campbellsville,

His mother: Flossie Warren and husband Herman of Campbellsville,

Six brothers and sisters: Leon Warren and wife Theresa, Brenda Roberts and husband Keith, and Linda Riley and husband Steve, all of Louisville, Gayle Cox and husband Stevie, Carolyn Thompson and husband Billy, and Roger Warren, all of Campbellsville,

Four grandchildren,

His fiancée: Vickie Young of Campbellsville,

And a host of other friends and family.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 PM EST. At the request of Mr. McNear, there will be no formal funeral service. A private interment service will be conducted at a later date.

Travis Chad Ford, age 35

Travis Chad Ford, age 35 of Campbellsville, died Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at his home in Campbellsville.

Chad was born on May 4, 1981 in Winchester, Kentucky to the late Gerald Thomas Ford and Sharon Spradlin Ford who survives.    Over the years, he had worked as a mechanic in the auto repair business which he enjoyed.

Besides his mother, Chad is survived by a brother Christopher Thomas Ford of Minnesota and a sister Jennifer Haffly and her husband Anthony of Winchester.  Also surviving is his grandmother, Eula Mae Ford as well as a niece Rinoa Haffly, a nephew, Ezekiel Ford and uncle, Kent Ford.

The Funeral Service for Travis Chad Ford will be Saturday, March 18, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with Pastor Dwayne Lobb officiating.     The family request visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service with cremation to follow.
