Mrs. Irene (Hall) Walker of Campbellsville was born on July 19, 1927 in Greensburg to the late Bedie and Emma Frances (Chaudoin) Hall. She departed this life on May 15, 2016 at the Taylor Regional Hospital, having attained the age of 88 years, 9 months, and 27 days. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Taylor’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Walker a homemaker and wife of Mr. William Lewis “James” Walker, Sr., who preceded her in death in 2000. She enjoyed several hobbies, such as quilting, canning, raising a garden, camping, and dry land fishing, but her true passion was in being a mother and grandmother. Her nurturing spirit always made sure her family and friends never left her house hungry.
She leaves to carry her legacy:
Two sons: Gordon Walker and wife Roberta of Campbellsville, and W.L. Walker and wife Kathy of Summersville,
Four siblings: Leland Hall and wife Barbara of Science Hill, Ray Hall and companion Mary Reed of Campbellsville, Janetta Milby of Summersville, and Rachel Dobson, also of Summersville,
Four grandchildren: Gwen Walker, Bro. Brandon Walker and wife Sherri, Robbie Walker, and Scott Walker,
Five great-grandchildren: Will Taylor, Alyssa Walker, Landon Walker, Emma Walker, and Chloe Walker,
One step great-grandson: Tyler Stryker,
A brother-in-law: V.T. Altman of Greensburg,
And a host of extended family and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Roger Thomas Walker in 1964; two sisters, Wilma Durrett and Mathis Altman; a sister-in-law, Norma Jean Hall; and three brothers-in-law, Rev. Ancil “Bug” Durrett, Finis Milby, and Quincy Dobson.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Walker on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 11:00 AM EST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718. The eulogy will be delivered by her grandson, Bro. Brandon Walker. Interment will follow in the Wilson Cemetery, Montgomery Mill Rd, Summersville, KY 42743.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 18, from 5:00-8:00 PM EST at the funeral home.

Helen Beatrice Cox of Campbellsville, daughter of the late James “Bob” Dudgeon and Ora Shirley Dudgeon, was born November 30, 1926, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 10:24 P.M., Monday, May 16, 2016 in Campbellsville. Age: 89
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Price’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Edmonton.
She united in marriage to L. A. Cox July 3, 1943. He preceded her in death September 27, 2003.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter: Larry Jr. Cox and wife, Peggy and Wanda L. Cox of Campbellsville and Tim L. Cox and wife, Angie of McCordsville, Indiana; one daughter-in-law, Sherry Johnson of Campbellsville; two sons-in-law: James Cowherd of Campbellsville and Leroy Pile of Raywick; five grandchildren: Mike Cox and wife, Mandy, Tony Cowherd and wife, Lisa, Wayne Pile and wife, Amanda, Zach Cox and wife, Brittany of Campbellsville and Donna Keel and husband, Stacy of Louisville; seven great-grandchildren: Reece Cox, Briley Cox, Brandon Pile, Austin Chandler, Caden Cowherd, Scarlett Keel and Katie Keel and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son and two daughters: Terry Allen Cox September 12, 1994, Mrs. Criss Pile May 5, 2008 and Barbara Cowherd September 26, 2006.

Mr. Donald “Gene” Pritchard, the son of the late Eddie and Mary Osborne Pritchard, was born May 14, 1938 in Jefferson County, KY and departed this life on Sunday, May 15, 2016 in Campbellsville at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab. He was 78 years of age.
He was a former sawmill and farm worker.
Survivors include three daughters: Mary Caldwell, Patricia Pritchard and companion: Billy Nugent and Barbara Jean Pritchard, all of Campbellsville.
Three grandchildren: Kevin Pritchard, Erika Caldwell and David Kearney; three great-grandchildren: Arianna Britton, Katlyn Pritchard and Logan Pritchard and a host of other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Gloria Pritchard, a sister: Jewell Lawhorn and two brothers: Norman Pritchard and Roy Pritchard.
The funeral service for Mr. Donald “Gene” Pritchard, will be conducted Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 1:30 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mt. Gilboa Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation after 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Ivagene DeWitt of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Iva Thomas Miller and Nellie Coakley Skaggs Miller, was born February 15, 1932, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 11:27 A.M., Thursday, May 12, 2016 in Campbellsville. Age: 84
She retired from of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville after some fifty years.
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.
She united in marriage to Otha DeWitt August 20, 1949. He preceded her in death January 24, 1978.
She is survived by one niece, Barbara Holbrook of Chattanooga, Tennessee; one great-great nephew, Tyler Joyce of Cincinnati, Ohio several cousins and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mae Martin April 8, 2012 and her great niece, Annette Joyce March 2, 2007.

Rachel Blankenship of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Ellis DeWitt and Mable Carter DeWitt, was born March 30, 1943, in Green County, Kentucky. She died at 4:53 P.M., Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in Elizabethtown. Age 73
She was a retired employee of Taylor Regional Hospital.
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church.
She united in marriage to Billy Gene Blankenship December 6, 1958. He preceded her in death January 13, 2015.
She is survived by one son and two daughters: Michael Blankenship and wife, Glenda of Bowling Green, Debbie Foley and husband, Ronnie of Summersville and Chasity Lococo and husband, Dave of Louisville; four grandchildren: Brandie Young and husband, Clint of Bowling Green, Megan Blankenship of Louisville, Vincent Lococo and Anna Lococo of Louisville; two great-grandchildren: Nicole Young and Brandon Young; one brother, Grady DeWitt of Summersville; two step-brothers: William B. Betty Rowe Vaughn, age 99, a native of Taylor County, died Friday, May 6, 2016 in Toledo, Ohio. She had lived in Toledo for many years and retired from the Ohio Match Company.
Betty was born November 10, 1916 to the late John R. and Fannie Tucker Mings. Her husband Tommy M. Vaughn preceded her in death in 1971.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Jerry Johnson of Toledo; a sister, Nina Chelf, of Louisville and a granddaughter, Sally Finch of Michigan.

She united in marriage to Ewell H. Collette April 27, 1940. He preceded her in death May 19, 1984.
She is survived by three cousins: John Jackson, of Richmond, Kentucky, Douglas Jackson of Waco, Kentucky and Carol Perry of Monroe, Michigan; two nieces: Sandra Lear and husband, James and Mrs. Hollis Doolin and husband, Wayne of Lancaster; one nephew, Howard Collette and wife, Fonda of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; three special caretakers: Kaye Smith and husband, Mike of Hodgenville, Nina Lobb and Madonna Ebisuya of Campbellsville; and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Jimmie Collette July 28, 1999; a granddaughter, Jinger Collette March 20, 2010; two brothers: J. H. Hulett and Homer James Hulett and a cousin, Irene Beasecker.
