Henry Appleby of Campbellsville, son of the late Chester Osby Appleby and Lois Glover Appleby, was born March 20, 1954 in Casey County, Kentucky. He died at 6:38 P.M., Saturday, April 17, 2021 in Louisville. Age: 67
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pine Grove Community Church.
Henry was a retired employee of Cox Interior. He loved working at his job as a mechanic.
He united in marriage to Debbie Karnes February 22, 1974.
Besides his wife, Debbie Appleby of Campbellsville, Henry is survived by one daughter, Amanda Whitaker and fiance’, Zack Hartman of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Havana Whitaker and Seeley Whitaker; one brother and four sisters: Allen Appleby of Clementsville, Anna Appleby, Phyllis Ritchey and husband, Harley and Emma Jean Sanders and husband, Leland of Campbellsville and Wanda Wilson of Casey County; special friend, Mickey Sapp Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Henry was preceded in death by three brothers: James Appleby, Arnold Appleby and Franklin Appleby.

Gene Judd of Campbellsville, son of the late Raymond Judd and Lenov Stilts Judd, was born January 28, 1939 in Green County, Kentucky. He died at 1:55 A.M., Monday, April 19, 2021 in Campbellsville. Age: 82
He professed faith in Christ and was an active member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church, where he had been a deacon, Sunday School teacher and Sunday School director.
He was a veteran having served his country honorably in the United States Army.
Gene was a retired truck driver after forty-five plus years; a job he truly loved.
He loved his family and was known as a man of his word. He especially enjoyed mowing and trying to make his yard the best in the neighborhood.
He united in marriage to Pauline Benningfield October 28, 1964.
Besides his wife, Pauline Judd, of Campbellsville, Gene is survived by one daughter, DeeDee Goodin and husband, Jamie of Campbellsville; one grandson, Blake Allen of Campbellsville; one sister, Joyce Waymon of Campbellsville; special neighbors who were like daughters to him and sisters to DeeDee: Beth Browning and Stacy Spaulding; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Lucille Ellis of Lebanon, Pansy Barnett, Wanda Beck and husband, David and Lena Gupton of Campbellsville and Omer Benningfield, Jr. and wife, Juanita of Finley; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Thomas Othella Matthews, 89, of Campbellsville, KY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 after a long battle with leukemia. Born on October 27, 1931 in White Plains, Kentucky (Hopkins County), to the late Rev. RV Matthews and Anna Belle Clark Matthews. Tom’s early life was following his Methodist parents in their ministry around western Kentucky until his family’s move when he was seven years old to Columbia, Kentucky, after his father’s death. Excelling in academics he was Valedictorian of his 1950 class and “Big T” was a starter on the Columbia High School Red Hound basketball team. After graduation, he completed his degree in Business Administration at Lindsey Wilson College.
Tom then took his business talents to New Jersey where he worked on Wall Street as the office manager for Canning & Associates until his retirement in 2006. Returning to Kentucky reunited him with his beloved family and introduced him to his new church family at First United Methodist Church Campbellsville. A devoted Christian, Tom sang in the choir, was president of the Upper Room Sunday School Class, and was always ready to help out with anything that involved the children.
His greatest loves were his family, his church, the UK Wildcats, the Baltimore Ravens, and the Cleveland Indians. Tom could play piano by ear and was excited to celebrate his love for music when he discovered the music program at Campbellsville University. He was a fixture for many years at all concerts and recitals he could attend. Tom’s kindness, generosity, and spirit will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
He is survived by his four sisters: Tula Peterson and Mildred White of Campbellsville; Christine Greenman of Winchester, Indiana; and Virginia Ward (Bill) of Madison, Indiana. He is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews whom he loved very much and he relished in spoiling them.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents; one sister: Clara Conover; and three brothers: Jessie Matthews, Carroll Matthews, and Richard (Dick) Matthews.
Visitation will be at Parrot and Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm with a funeral service on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be at the Glen Dean Cemetery following the service.

Steve Ratliff of Campbellsville, son of Margaret Colvin Parrott and the late Shirden Wayne Ratliff, was born September 20, 1959 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died Sunday, April 11, 2021 in Louisville. Age: 61
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.
Steve was an employee of Murakami Manufacturing and a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville and Brownsville, Texas.
He united in marriage to Isabel Mata March 27, 1999.
Besides his wife, Isabel Ratliff of Campbellsville, Steve is survived by one son and one daughter: Jonathon Ratliff and Cassandra Nicole Ratliff; his mother and step-father: Margaret Colvin Parrott and husband, Norman of Campbellsville; his step-mother, Elizabeth Ratliff of Georgetown; two sisters: Renee Smith and husband, J. R. of Georgetown and Debbie Wallace and husband, Mark of Sadieville; two step-brothers and one step-sister: Brad Walls and wife, Terrilin, Gary Parrott and wife, Melinda and Carla Johnson and fiancé, Jimmy Merideth; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Virginia O. Minor of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Thomas Harvey Clark and Lottie Gray Johnson Clark, was born November 18, 1931 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 8:42 A.M., Sunday, April 11, 2021 in Campbellsville. Age: 89
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of First United Methodist Church but attended Campbellsville Church of the Nazarene.
Virginia was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and Publix.
She loved life, and enjoyed being with friends and family, shopping, crocheting and working in her flowers.
She united in marriage to Parker Minor and he preceded her in death February 28, 2001.
Virginia is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Cathy and John Bowen of Campbellsville; three step-children: Donnie Minor and wife, Pat of Glasgow, Jackie Minor and wife, Betty of London and Tim Minor of Austin, Texas; three grandchildren: Josh Farmer, Melissa Brundage and husband, Kris and Eric Bowen and wife, Jennifer of Bardstown; seven great-grandchildren: Brianna Farmer, Brayden Greenwell, Chance Bowen, Gavin Farmer, Zoe Farmer, Kristian Brundage and Presley Brundage; special friend, Bill Sluder of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters: Houston Clark, Jess Clark, Bob Clark, Pete Clark, Mabel Clark Keltner, Ruth Patton and Margaret Roberts.

 Wanda Lynn Gaines passed away quietly in her home on April 2, 2021, Good Friday. She was 78 years old. Wanda was born in Taylor County, Kentucky on October 21, 1942. She attended Catholic School for most of her young life. Her family moved back to Taylor County, Kentucky in 1959. She attended Taylor County High School where she met her husband, Paul Gaines. They graduated in 1960 and married in 1961 in Celina, Tennessee. They had 3 children, Janie, Doug, and Gary. In 1969 they moved to Horse Cave, Kentucky where they have remained. Wanda was a member of Horse Cave United Methodist Church. She worked at Horse Cave State Bank for many years. Once retired she enjoyed gardening and making things from her flowers and herbs. She also enjoyed being on the water and enjoyed many boat and beach trips with her children and grandchildren. Wanda joins her parents Raymond and Pauline Netherland and brother Ray Netherland in heaven. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Paul Gaines; children Janie Branstetter (Mark) of Lynn Haven, FL, Doug Gaines (Laura) of Park City, KY, Gary Gaines (Angie) of Myrtle Beach, SC. Grandchildren Steven Branstetter (Nicole), Stuart Branstetter (Tara), Emily Matthews (Luke), Ryan Gaines, Lauren Gaines, and Nicholas Gaines. There are also 3 beautiful great granddaughters, Rylan, Ellie, and Aubrey, and one on the way. She leaves three sisters, Dena Creel, Paula Bost, and Jill Caulk, who all came to care for her during her final days.
A Memorial Service will be held on April 29, 2021 at the Horse Cave United Methodist Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM with a service following at 11:30.

 Henry Leslie Goff, the son of the late Jesse Sr., and Rachel (Tucker) Goff was born November 20, 1944 in Green County, KY and departed this life on Monday, April 5, 2021 in Campbellsville at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 76 years of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Elk Horn Baptist Church.
Henry was a former city councilman, a business owner, completed rebuilt vehicle titles, and had worked for Goff Mobile Homes.
He is survived by two daughters: Leslie Ann Rhodes and husband David Lee and Susan Gayle Lackey and husband Dylan all of Campbellsville; two sisters: Elizabeth Goff Humphress of Campbellsville and Beverly Drummond of Liberty; five grandchildren: Whitney (Ryan) Tungate, Rachel (Raphael) Cunha, Jennifer (Cody) Berry, Austin Herron and Ali Herron; five great-grandchildren: Bradyn Rhodes, Lia Cox, Carson Tungate, Harper Berry, Francesca Cunha and a host of other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Thomas “Red” Goff and Jesse H. Goff, Jr., and a brother and sister in infancy.
The funeral service for Henry Leslie Goff will be conducted Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Dr. Brian Rafferty will be officiating.
Visitation from 5-8 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the Kosair Charities which can be made at the funeral home.

 Master Genesis Wade Barlow-Welch of Campbellsville was born on July 22, 2019 to Mitchell Lee Welch and Patricia Noelle Barlow. He entered his heavenly home on Monday, March 29, 2021, being 1 year, 8 months, and 7 days of age. Master Genesis was a bundle of love and energy; he was Mom’s “Happy Feet” and Dad’s “Turkey”. His hugs and snuggles will be cherished and remembered until God’s great reunion day.

Pauline McGinnis of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Toomie Dishman and Delia Dishman, was born October 4, 1938 in Wayne County, Kentucky. She died at 11:25 A.M., Tuesday, March 30, 2021 in Greensburg. Age: 82
She professed faith in Christ and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Pauline loved her family and enjoyed reading.
She united in marriage to Grady McGinnis January 15, 1955 and he preceded her in death March 17, 1994.
Pauline is survived by one son and two daughters: Danny McGinnis and wife, Jeanette, Brenda DeSpain and husband, Tony and Tammy Warren and husband, Wayne of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Jennifer Johnson of Lexington, Jason McGinnis and Monica Purnell of Campbellsville and Brandon DeSpain of Glasgow; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Lonnie Dishman of Hodgenville; one sister-in-law, Grace Dishman of Wayne County; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Ray McGinnis December 14, 1992 and five brothers and one sister: Grady Dishman, Billie Joe “Bill” Dishman, Donnie Dishman, Delmar Dishman, Trammel Dishman and Colline “Jewell” Burkhart and one half-sister, Betty Burnette.

 Mr. James Ray “Jimmy” Calhoun of Elk Horn was born on November 20, 1967 in Franklin, Indiana to the late Frank and Juanita (Hughes) Calhoun. He departed this life on Monday, March 29, 2021 at his home, being 53 years, 4 months, and 9 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Separate Baptist Church. Mr. Calhoun was a diesel mechanic and a former employee of Keyboard Carriage. He will be remembered as a family man; his grandchildren were paramount in his life.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
His wife: Deronda Faye (Woodrum) Calhoun,
Two children: James Calhoun and companion Brantlee McGaha, and Maggie Calhoun and companion Michael Chenault, all of Elk Horn,
