George Harris, 75

Mr. George Lee Harris of Campbellsville, son of the late Orby and Jessie (Whitlock) Harris, passed peacefully from this life on Monday, July 26, 2021 at the Taylor Regional Hospital after an extended illness. Born in Marion County on December 18, 1945, he was 75 years, 7 months, and 8 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Pentecostal faith. Mr. Harris was a lifelong farmer and a timber cutter and sawmill worker. He enjoyed spending time in God’s creation, and was a talented animal trainer with a passion for hunting and fishing.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by five siblings: Jimmy Harris, Charles Harris, David Harris, Carl Harris, and Dottie Mae Bagby.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

Four children: George D, Harris and wife Kim of Raywick, Chad Isaiah Harris and wife Sheena of Green County, Tammy Sue Fisher and husband Michael of Franklin, and Ramona Gail Burris and husband Tracey of Campbellsville,

Five siblings: Minnie Sullivan of Campbellsville, Modean Keeling of Mt. Washington, and Betty Graham, Mary Rose Hensley, and Kathy Thompson, all of Campbellsville,

Fourteen grandchildren,

Twenty-one great-grandchildren,

And a host of other family and friends.

Mr. Harris chose cremation. All services were performed privately.

Walter Odell Helm

Walter Odell Helm of Campbellsville, son of the late Troy Helm and Anna Bottoms Helm, was born April 15, 1945 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 1:45 A.M., Tuesday, July 27, 2021 in Lebanon. Age: 76
He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.
Walter was a retired over -the-road truck driver with H & O Trucking with over sixty years of service, having driven in all fifty states, Mexico and Canada.
He is survived by one brother and two sisters: Kenneth Helm and Wanda Helm of Louisville and Helen Clements of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Walter was also preceded in death by a son, Johnnie Helm and four sisters and one brother: Rosie Gribbins, Bonnie Hancock, Ethel “Duck” Graham, Katherine White and Darrell Tedder.

PAULINE HARRIS OBITUARY

Pauline Harris, 93, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Jarvey and Carrie Roark, was born November 30th, 1927, in Grayson County and departed this life peacefully on Saturday, July 24th, 2021, at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

She professed her faith in Christ and was of Baptist faith.  Pauline was a waitress and a homemaker.

She united in marriage to Jerome Glendale Harris, Jr., whom preceded her in death on September 19th, 2015.

Survived by two sons:  Wade Harris and John Daniel Harris, both of Campbellsville, Kentucky.

Two daughters:  Arlene Harris of Bowling Green, Kentucky and Beth Tischer of Knappa, Oregon.

Three grandchildren:  Wendy Harris of Lebanon, Kentucky, Randy Harris, and Zeke Harris, both of Campbellsville, Kentucky.

Two great-grandchildren:  Mary Ann Harris and Steven James Harris of Campbellsville, Kentucky.

Three sisters:  Naomi Richardson, Donna Coleman, and Shelby Blanton.

VISITATION:  Thursday, July 29th, from 5pm-8pm EST, at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.

FUNERAL:  Friday, July 30th, at 1pm EST, at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.

“Jay” Jeffrey Wright 37, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, son of Jeffrey Dale Wright and Tina Gail Walters was born December 10th, 1983, in Taylor County, Kentucky and went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 21st, 2021.
He professed his faith in Christ and was a member of Robinson Creek Baptist Church.
Jay loved to hunt and fish and anything to do with being outdoors.
Survived by his mother: Tina Gail Walters Wright of Campbellsville, Kentucky. One son, Easton Wright of Campbellsville, one sister: Nikki Wright and her partner, Rafael Villanueva of Lebanon, grandparents: Eddie and Linda Walters of Campbellsville and Stanley and Lucretia Simpson of Campbellsville, one niece and one nephew: Hayden Villanueva and Maculey Villanueva of Lebanon, Kentucky and also survived by Eastons mother Lesli Gilpin of Campbellsville, Kentucky, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Jay was preceded in death by his father Jeffrey Dale Wright, 1998.

Visitation: Sunday, July 25th, 2021, from 5-8 EST at Auberry Funeral Home Downtown Campbellsville.

Victor Richards, 67

Mr. Victor Lee Richards of Campbellsville was born on November 17, 1953 to Fred and Lydia (Reeves) Richards. He entered his heavenly home on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, being 67 years, 8 months, and 4 days of age. Born in Danville and raised in Casey County, he had a natural affinity for all things outdoors. A favorite hobby was four wheeling or fishing – especially when his children and grandchildren joined him. Mr. Richards was a talented carpenter and spent the majority of his working life in residential building. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Elkhorn Baptist and Ellisburg Baptist.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

His wife: Patricia Anne “Patti” (Gribbins) Richards,

Three sons: Raymond Joseph Gribbins and wife Stephanie of Campbellsville, Robert Lee Richards and wife Nicole of Casey County, and Ryan Aaron Richards and fiance Taylor of Somerset,

One daughter: Kaylee Gribbins-Harris and husband Colton of Campbellsville,

Nine grandchildren: Sierra Gribbins, Raymond Axel Gribbins, Hazel Rose Harris, Jasalynn Richards, Chloe Richards, Isaac Fancher, Caleb Fancher, Lilly Spencer, Adley Richards, and Walker Hyden,

Special friends: Carol and Candy Wethington, and Pastor Raymond and Ann Hollins,

And a host of other friends and family members.

Mr. Richards took great pride in providing peace of mind for his family and had chosen to be cremated. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.

Tammy Kay Hughes, 61

Tammy Kay Hughes of Campbellsville, the daughter of the late Herbert Carl and Rosamon (leffler) Smith, was born April 24, 1960 in Indianapolis, IN and departed this life on Monday, July 19, 2021 in Louisville at the Norton Women and Children Hospital. She was 61 years of age.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing with her dogs.

She united in marriage to Ray Hughes, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons: Travis Hughes and Eston Miller; three sisters and two brothers: Carolyn McNicholas, Linda Coar, Stephanie Smith and husband Steve, Ronnie Smith and Danny Smith all of Indiana and a host of other relatives and friends.

A graveside service for Tammy Kay Hughes will be Monday, July 26, 2021 at the Callahan Cemetery on Speck Ridge Road in Taylor County with burial to follow.

Rev. Paul Pike will be officiating.

There will be no visitation

Lennie Frances Brown Dudgeon of Campbellsville, daughter of the late George I. Brown and Mary Pearl Stanton Brown, was born February 28, 1931 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 10:21 A.M., Tuesday, July 20, 2021 in Campbellsville. Age: 90
She professed faith in Christ at the age of eight and was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
She was a was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom, a former cosmetologist and retired from Wal-Mart in Campbellsville
Frances loved all her family but especially her grandbabies. Hobbies included sewing, crocheting, shopping and crossword puzzles and everyone considered Frances to be a great cook. She also enjoyed flowers, especially roses.
Frances united in marriage to William “Bill” Dudgeon September 30, 1948 and he preceded her in death September 7, 2005.
She is survived by three daughters: Len Beatty of Lancaster, Jen Wright and husband, John and Pat Sebastian of Campbellsville; one daughter-in-law, Jane Dudgeon of Campbellsville; six grandchildren: David Alan Dudgeon and wife, Dana, Karen Denise Bell and husband, Steve, Tracy Gilbert, Tiffanie Lynn Beatty, Patrick Sebastian and Megan Sebastian; four great-grandchildren: Wesley Bell, Ansley Bell, Jacob Gilbert and Lillian Durham; her precious dog, Molly; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Frances was also preceded in death by a son, David E. Dudgeon September 8, 2019 and two brothers: Willard Brown and Thomas Brown.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by two daughters: Carolyn Barnett and husband, Harlon and Jayne Hogan of Campbellsville; one great-granddaughter, Chelsey Stone of Lexington; one sister-in-law, Thelma Eubank of Lebanon; a special nephew, Larry Franklin of Campbellsville and many other relatives and friends.
Mona was preceded in death by her first husband, John Curry in 1944 and her second husband, Robert Cecil Eubank in 2004; two sisters: Edna Franklin and Jessie Richardson; grandson, Steven Barnett in 1995 and son-in-law, David Hogan.

Margaret Velma Bond of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Theodore Allen and Dona Hale Allen, was born April 24, 1942 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky. She died at 5:45 P.M., Tuesday, July 20, 2021 in Campbellsville. Age: 79
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Elk Horn Baptist Church, where she was a former kindergarten Sunday School teacher. Working in her flower gardens, sewing and time with her family brought her great joy. She also enjoyed fishing and deer hunting.
Velma united in marriage to Curtis Bond June 2, 1962 and he preceded her in death November 22, 2019.
She is survived by two daughters: Debbie Jones and Gina Byrd and husband, Donnie Wayne; one granddaughter, Sara Gilpin Mardis and husband, Justin; one step-granddaughter, Ginny Lynn Byrd; two great-grandchildren: Addie Grace Mardis and Maxwell Mardis all of Campbellsville; one brother, Gillus Allen of Mt. Vernon; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Velma was also preceded in death by thirteen brothers and sisters: Orba Allen, Gertrude Smith, Ruth Halcomb, Easie Allen, Laura Owens, Anna Lee Mullins, Delbert Allen, Virgil Allen, Marie Allen, William Allen, Willie Allen, Ted Allen, Jr., and Eddie Allen.

Rev. Charles Johnson, 94

Rev. Charles Boyce Johnson, age 94, a longtime resident of Campbellsville, Kentucky, gained his heavenly wings on Monday, July 19, 2021 at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville. Born May 25, 1927 to the late Rufus and Sallie (Grove) Johnson, he was a long time member of the Church of God of America and member and co-pastor of New Life Church of God, where he had ministered over 75 years. He was a former custodian at Metzmeier Nursing Home. Even after retirement, Mr. Johnson continued to express his love for people. He always enjoyed helping, and regularly mowed lawns and planted gardens for others.

He is survived by four children: Charles Jr (Ella) Johnson, Phillip Johnson, Faye Dunn, and Melinda McCullough, and a host of grandchildren and great grand-children. He is also survived by his sister, Annie Richardson.

He is preceded in death by his wife Ruth Johnson, son Ronnie Johnson, daughters Nancy and Carolyn Johnson, parents Rufus and Sallie Johnson, and siblings, Dorothy Johnson Smith, Sue Ella Flowers, George Johnson, Luther Johnson, Willie Johnson, James Johnson, Lawrence Johnson, Robert Johnson, Lonie Johnson and Leroy Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday July 24th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 704 E. Broadway, Campbellsville, KY. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 1:00 PM. Pastor Bishop William Paul Hardin will deliver the home going eulogy. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Campbellsville, KY.
