Duril Gene Bell, of Campbellsville, the son of Cherry Thomas (Nuckols) Gore and the late Russell Bell, was born November 5, 1971 in Campbellsville and departed this life on Saturday, December 19, 2020 in Lebanon at the Springview Hospital. He was 49 years of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Springfield. He was a former Sanitation worker for Rumke in Elizabethtown.
Duril loved watching and playing basketball, and was an avid University of Louisville fan, he enjoyed singing, acting goofy and loved the Lord.
Survivors include six children: Latoya Smith, Christopher Smith, Danielle Smith, Zeek Bell and Carter Bell all of Campbellsville and McKenzie Bell of Lexington; eight brothers and sisters: Kathy Slaughters and Ronnie Bell of Glasgow, Marjorie Gore of Elizabethtown, Ricky Bell and Molly Tate of Kansas, Walter Bell of Nicholasville, Irvin Bell and Anthony Bell both of Campbellsville; 4 grandchildren: Latayvion Brown, Harmony Brown, KamMarrion Frazier, Jonathan Hart, Jr.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Wendell and Mack Odell Bell.
The funeral service for Duril Gene Bell will be Saturday, January 2, 2021 in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Pleasant Run Cemetery in Green County. Rev. Gene Livers will be officiating.
Family requests visitation after 11:30 A.M. Saturday, January 2, 2021 until time for the funeral service.

Mr. James David Wilhoit of Campbellsville passed from this life on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at his home after an illness. Born on June 19, 1996 to Connie (Warren) and the late James Douglas Wilhoit, he was 24 years and 6 months of age. He had made a profession of faith in Chris and was a member of Mt. Roberts Baptist Church. David’s life was life fraught with debilitating illnesses, yet he rarely complained. Instead, he loved to spend time with his family, and was often pulling practical jokes on them and his friends. He enjoyed listening to music and trading guns and trucks, and was a competitive online gamer.

There will be a funeral service to honor David’s life on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Dale Warren and Bro. Mike Woodrum will be officiating. Burial will follow in the M-W-L Cemetery in Taylor County.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, Dec. 22, from 10:00 AM until time for the service.

Lois Hord Carter of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Walter Ray Hord and Elsie Gore Hord, was born July 12, 1934 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 11:59 A.M., Saturday, December 19, 2020 in Campbellsville. Age: 86
She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She professed faith in Christ and was a lifelong member of Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Lois enjoyed walking around her Green Acres neighborhood every day and volunteering at Campbellsville Nursing and Rehabilitation when she was able. She was a big University of Kentucky Wildcat Fan.
She is survived by two daughters and one son: Debbie Carter Mathers, Patty Carter Howard and David Carter and wife, Rebecca of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Heather Barnes, Shawn Carter and Matthew Bright; four great-grandchildren: Tanner Barnes, Lauren Barnes, Colton Bright and Brayden Carter; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers: Joyce Tucker, Dorothy O’Banion, Audrey Maupin, Louise Oliver, Jean Wright, Richard Hord and Kenny Hord.

Lula Mae Dooley of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Walter Ray Sullivan and Pearl Nelson Sullivan, was born January 22, 1938 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 2:45 P.M., Thursday, December 17, 2020 in Louisville. Age: 82
She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and co owner of B&B Used Trucks. Lula Mae could be described as a loving Christian mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
She professed faith in Christ and was a lifetime member, elder and piano player at Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Lula Mae united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Dooley January 24, 1959 and he preceded her in death August 9, 1981.

Don Smith of Campbellsville, son of the late Claud Smith and Iva Ermine Pike Smith was born August 15, 1939 in Adair County, Kentucky. He died at 3:40 A.M. CST, Friday December 18, 2020 in Glasgow. Age: 81
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Bible Baptist Tabernacle where he had served as a deacon. Don enjoyed reading and studying the Bible and ministering to those in jail and the nursing home, where he would play his guitar and sing. Don had a heart for his family and they called him a kind and sweet man. He always advised them to trust in the Lord.
He was a retired custodian for the Campbellsville Independent School System after some 27 years of service.
Don united in marriage to Wanda L. Bryant March 24, 1967.
Besides his wife, Wanda L. Smith of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and two daughters: Donna Lynn Morrison and husband, William Scott Morrison of New Albany, Indiana, Larry Wayne Smith and Karen Michelle Seaborn and husband, Dale Mathis Seaborn of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Emily Elise Morrison, Elizabeth Anne Seaborn and Kara Danielle Seaborn and many other relatives and friends.

Audrey Sluder Eastridge of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Dewey Sluder and Dora Campbell Sluder, was born September 24, 1921 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She died at 7:37 A.M., Friday, December 18, 2020 in Campbellsville. Age: 99
She was a retired homemaker. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville First Church of God. Audrey loved her church and was a faithful thither up until her death. Her family was her pride and joy.
Audrey enjoyed working in her flowers and suffered many a fall when she wouldn’t quit digging in the dirt. Audrey was a bundle of joy to be around and made friends easily.
She united in marriage to Robert Lee Eastridge November 14, 1937 he preceded her in death May 10, 2001.

Joseph Thaddeus (Thad) Smith, 88, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, son of the late Joseph Clarence Smith and Croakie Josephine Mudd was born on October 18th, 1932, in Washington County, Kentucky and departed this life on December 16th, 2020, at his home after an extended illness.
He had professed his faith in Christ and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Campbellsville, Kentucky. Thad served honorably in the US Army. He continued to serve and work, for several years, as a civilian Art Illustrator at Fort Knox.
He served as a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels Association.
He owned and operated Green River Graphics, formerly Thad-Art, for over 40 years and was an avid bowler.
Mr. Smith united in marriage to Teresa Odell Smith of Campbellsville, Kentucky, on May 21st, 1960, who survives.
Survived by two sons and two daughters: Jerome Scott Smith, Donna Maria Wolford, Joseph Dale Smith, and Mary Lynn Smith all of Campbellsville, Kentucky.
Survived by seven grandchildren: Jacob Wolford, Ashley Rameriz, Joseph Smith, Cameron Turner, and Ethan Stamp all of Campbellsville, Kentucky; April McKeil of Murray, Kentucky; and Henry Smith of Lansing, Michigan.
Survived by twelve great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by two brothers, five sisters, and one daughter Teresa Carol Smith.
Walk through visitation is requested from 5pm-8pm EST, Sunday, December 20th, 2020, at the Auberry Funeral Home on Main Street in downtown Campbellsville.
Funeral services will be at 11am EST, Monday, December 21st, 2020, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church located at 429 North Central Ave. in Campbellsville. Visitation will continue from 9am EST, Monday, December 21st, 2020, until the time of the service at the church. Mr. James Ray Pierce of Louisville, formerly of Magnolia, passed from this life on Monday, December 14, 2020, being 63 years of age. He was born on December 25, 1957 to the late James and Betty Jean (Pruitt) Pierce. Although his natural family was small, he loved – and was loved in return by – most people that he met. Mr. Pierce was a cherished resident of the Pillar community, where he had lived since May of 2007, and had become a close friend to both the staff and the residents.
He is survived by an aunt and uncle: Clyde and Rebecca Pruitt of Campbellsville,
And several extended family members and friends.

Mr. Mark Davis Cheatham, son of the late Davis and Evelyn Ruth “Shorty” (Feese) Cheatham, was born in Adair County on October 4, 1959. About two and a half years later, on March 18, 1962, Mrs. Lisa Cheatham, daughter of the late Charles and Betty Lou (Tullis) Tucker, was born in Taylor County. On April 10, 1981, they united in marriage, beginning an inseparable journey through life.
On Friday, December 11, 2020, at the age of 61, Mark succumbed to complications of Covid-19 at the Norton Hospital in Louisville. On Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at the age of 58, Lisa joined him in eternity after losing her battle with the same disease.
Mark was a heavy equipment operator for the Kentucky Department of Transportation and Lisa was a jobs coordinator for Eastern Kentucky University, but together they were the owners of Featherway Farms. They cherished the time they spent with each other and rarely was one seen without the other. They both loved to travel and were active members in the Soule Chapel United Methodist Church. If the weather was decent and they weren’t fishing, and hunting season wasn’t in (mostly for Mark) or there wasn’t enough people around to start a Rook game (usually for Lisa), there was a pretty good chance they were riding together on their motorcycle. Both of them loved to laugh; they understood how to make life better for those around them, and they regularly chose the paths in life that would brighten peoples spirits.
They leave to mourn their passing:
Two daughters: Jama Allen and husband Anthony of Liberty, and Jessica Cheatham of Campbellsville,
Two grandchildren: Kenzie Vaughn and Miley Sprowles,
Two step-grandchildren: Alyssa Allen and Hailey Allen,
Mark’s sisters: Susie Skaggs and husband Ricky, and Lisa Ann Cash and husband Gary, all of Campbellsville,
Lisa’s sister: Tanya Reardon and husband Johnny of Campbellsville,
And a host of extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends for a walk-through visitation on Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 10:30 AM until 1:30 PM at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. All attendees are asked to wear a mask and maintain a safe social distance.
Mark and Lisa will be laid to rest beside each other in the Cane Valley Cemetery following a private funeral service. Bro. Ashley Shuffett, Bro. John Loy, and Bro. Roger Moran will be officiating.

Mr. Paul Allen Cothern of Campbellsville was born on July 16, 1969 in Memphis, Tennessee. He departed this life on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at the University of Louisville Hospital as a result of complications from an automobile accident. He was 51 years of age. Mr. Cothern had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Christian faith. His surviving friends and family speak highly of his friendly spirit and compassionate heart he had towards others.
