Commie Edith Underwood Caulk of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Bennie Underwood and Elsie A. Underwood, was born April 5, 1941 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 1:24 P.M., Thursday, October 29, 2020 in Campbellsville. Age: 79
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Union Separate Baptist Church.
Commie was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She enjoyed her children, life and working in her flowers.
Commie united in marriage to James Scott and he preceded her in death on September 3, 1967. She later united in marriage to Bobby Caulk in 1969.
Besides her husband, Bobby Caulk of Campbellsville, she is survived by one son and two daughters: Robbie Brian Caulk and Becky Wood and husband, Bobby of Campbellsville and Tracy Caulk and special friend, Vickie Stewart of Louisville; five grandchildren: Cory Wood and wife, Trista, Adam Wood and wife, Holly, Robbie Lee Caulk, Jake Caulk and Chris Caulk and wife, Kelly of Campbellsville; eight great-grandchildren: Jacy Lynn Caulk, Bristol Faith McDonald, Riley Wayne Callahan, Graci Wood, Landon Wood, Baylor Wood, Kyndall Wood and Rhilynn Wood; one great-great-grandson, Lux Atwood; one brother, Garland Underwood of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Commie was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Lynn Scott July 15, 2016 and three brothers and three sisters: Franklin Heistand Underwood, Jack Underwood, Joe Underwood, Essie Vance, Mona Brewer and Lovie Brewer.

Mr. Jerry Sapp of Finley, son of the late Herbert L. and Naomi (Benningfield) Sapp, was surrounded by his family when he passed peacefully from this life on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at his home. Born on September 17, 1939, he was 81 years, 1 month, and 11 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church. Mr. Sapp was a rural letter carrier and served the people and businesses of Taylor and Marion Counties over 45 years. As an avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt (especially squirrels), and was passionate about leaving nature better than he found it. The solidity of his genuine heart and honest spirit is evidenced in those he leaves behind. He leaves to carry his legacy: His wife: Laverne (Mills) Sapp of Finley, Four children: Nolan Sapp and wife June of Florida, Mickey Sapp and wife Michelle of Campbellsville, Mark Sapp and wife Misti of Campbellsville, and Dr. Felicia Sapp and husband Barry Beach of California, Two siblings: Freddy Sapp and wife Margaret of London, and Sondra Vick and husband Scott of Marion County, Ten grandchildren: Darrell, Christopher, Daley, Mason, Alexandra, Brittany, Kristi, Shelbi, Shayli, and Jackson, Five great-grandchildren, And a host of other family and friends. Mrs. Lois Lorene Carroll, 89, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, daughter of the late John Clinton Williams and Celia Osborne Williams was born November 9th, 1930 in Shady Valley, Tennessee. She departed this life Sunday October 25th, 2020 at Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab.
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville First Church of God. She was a former employee of 38 years at Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She united in marriage to her husband Granville Carroll March 3rd, 1951. He preceded her in death on April 13th, 1993.
She is survived by one sister: Polly Morris and husband Bobby and one brother-in-law, Buddy Stayton all of Campbellsville
She was preceded in death by one daughter; Linda Diane Douglas, two brothers and four sisters: Millard Williams, Odell Williams, Gladys Stayton, Eula Wheatcroft. Doris Lewis, and Hester McDaniels
Several nieces and nephews survive along with a host of other friends.
A walkthrough visitation will be held 5pm – 8pm EST, Thursday, October 29th at Auberry Funeral Home and Cremation Services in downtown Campbellsville.

Elaine Chelf of Campbellsville, daughter of the late John Kessel and
Blanch Workins Kessel, was born May 6, 1921 in Bureau County, Illinois. She died at 7:00 P.M., Sunday, October 25, 2020
in Greensburg. Age: 99
Elaine was a retired employee of Walmart in Campbellsville at the age
of eight-seven. She was also a former
employee of CTS Knights in Illinois.
She united in marriage to Woodrow Chelf June 30, 1958 and he preceded her in death June 3, 2006.
Elaine enjoyed crafts and working.
She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by one son and one daughter: Doug Chelf and wife, Missy of Campbellsville
and Marjorie Hubbard of Sandwich, Illinois; ten grandchildren: Austin Chelf, Jeff Shafer, Tonja Miller, Jan
Cleary, Kim Young, Kris Holliday, Becky Gibson, Sherry Linton, Tasha Norris and
Donnie Beck; several great-grandchildren; one brother, Donnie Kessel of
Illinois; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Elaine was also preceded in death by one son and one daughter: Al Gibson and Sandra Bryant and one brother

Ila Chewning of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Savannah Rollo
Martin and Nella Patton Martin, passed away at 2:30 A.M., Sunday, October 25,
2020. She was 90 years of age and was
born April 23, 1930 in the Lemmon’s Bend Community of Taylor County.
She professed faith in Jesus Christ and was a member of Woodlawn
Christian Church where she was a faithful member of the Willing Workers Sunday
School Class.
Ila worked as a set sleeve operator twenty-nine years before retiring
from Fruit of the Loom to become a full-time grandma. Prior to her Fruit of the Loom career, she
worked for General Telephone and the Corner Drug Store.
She loved canning, quilting, embroidering, crafts, gardening and taking
care of her flowers, especially her beautiful roses. She enjoyed cooking and spoiling family and
friends with favorite country style meals and desserts. Favorite activities also included playing
Rook and Skip-Bo. As long as family and
friends were involved, she would spend countless hours assisting and
entertaining. Her family was her number
one priority and real joy.
Ila is survived by two sons and one daughter: Randall Chewning and wife, Dawn of
Nicholsville, David Chewning and wife, Jennifer and Marcella Williams of
Campbellsville;
Two step-children: Don Chewning
of Texas and Linda Cross of Tennessee; four grandchildren: Tiffany Pickett and husband, Ben, Nikki
Wilson and husband, Justin and Matthew Chewning of Nicholasville and John
Chewning and fiancé, RaeAnn Stafford of Campbellsville; five great-grandchildren: Bo, Cooper and Millie James Pickett and

Born on April 16, 1982, he was 38 years, 6 months, and 6 days of age. Mr. Brown had made a profession of faith in Christ and had been baptized in the First Baptist Church. He had a passion for singing and was known to brighten the room when he entered, but his first love was his children. Mr. Brown loved being a father and cherished each moment he was able to spend with his family. Nancy Stillwell Foley, 75, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Wilbur Stilwell, and Georgiana Rotschi was born September 12th, 1945, in Rockville Center, New York. She departed this life on Saturday, October 24th, 2020, at UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY.
Nancy professed faith in Christ and was a member Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Church. She worked in banking in New York and Campbellsville, KY for thirty eight years. She was a member of the Mid Kentucky Chorus at St. Catherine for over ten years and a member of OLPH choir for over twenty years. She loved to garden, grow vegetables, and cook for her family. Nancy loved to bowl in her spare time as her hobby.
Nancy is survived by one son and two daughters: Stephen Goodwin of San Diego, CA., Elizabeth Erwin of Danville, KY. and Kathleen Foley of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Jackson Erwin and Emma Erwin of Danville, KY, one sister and two brothers: Gail Allen and husband Paul of Campbellsville, Gregory Graham and Gary Rotschi both of Ft. Lauderdale , FL; several other relatives and a host of friends.
She was also preceded in death by one brother James Stillwell and her Stepfather Robert Rotschi

Mrs. Helen G. Shofner of Campbellsville was born on January 6, 1925 to the late Edwin and Susie (Caulk) Griffin. She departed this life on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at her home, being 95 years, 9 months, and 11 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended Robinson Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Shofner was a retired employee of the Taylor County School District, having worked in as a cook in the Taylor County Middle School over 30 years. On February 9, 1945, she united in marriage with James Lee “Jay” Shofner. They would remain a devoted couple until his death on October 26, 1992. Daughter of the late Hugh and Nora (Bottoms) Lanham, she was born in Marion County on May 14, 1928. Mrs. Young was 92 years, 5 months, and 5 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a faithful member of Beech Grove Baptist Church in Springfield. She was a devoted woman, both to her family and her God, and had taught the Praying Hands Sunday School Class over 50 years. Mrs. Young was a homemaker and the beloved wife of Mr. Dalton Young, who preceded her in death in 2011.
