Gertrude Haynes of Campbellsville, daughter of the late James E. Wright and Lou Elmer Judd Wright, was born August 3, 1926 in Green County, Kentucky. She died at 12:55 A.M., Wednesday, November 20, 2019 in Campbellsville. Age: 93
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
She united in marriage to George Lewis Haynes October 10, 1942 and he preceded her in death April 19, 2009.
Gertrude was a loving mother, wife and grandmother who enjoyed cooking for her family and loved caring for all children. She took in a niece and nephew as their own after their mother’s passing.
She is survived by two sons: Raymond Lewis Haynes and wife, Mildred and Gordon Haynes of Campbellsville; one daughter-in-law, Suellen Haynes of Louisville; five grandchildren: Chad Haynes and wife, Amanda of Auburn, Amber Hill and husband, Dartanya II of Louisville, Keith Wilcoxson, Jamie Morris and husband, Keith and Ronnie Wilcoxson and wife, Jonie of Campbellsville; twelve great-grandchildren: Arik Haynes, Wesley Haynes and Rebecca Haynes of Auburn, Dartanya Sir Holland Hill, III of Louisville, Jonathan Rogers and wife, Tasha, Kristen Rogers, Lucian Dile, Shreve Dile, Vera Wilcoxson, Jeremy Wilcoxson, Dalton Wilcoxson and wife, Renae and Lakeisha Wilcoxson of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Gertrude was also preceded in death by two sons: Edward Lee Haynes June 28, 2019 and Marvin Haynes July 14, 2017; a foster son, James Wilcoxson and two brothers and two sisters: William Wright, Hop Wright, Beth Shofner and Vera Wilcoxson.

Frances Waymon Pelston of Elk Horn, daughter of the late Edgar Wethington and Imelda Jane Wethington, was born April 23, 1938 in Casey County, Kentucky. She died at 7:17 P.M., Monday, November 18, 2019 in Elk Horn. Age: 81
She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Frances enjoyed gardening, working in flowers, riding side-by-sides and just being outdoors. She also loved spending time with her family.
She united in marriage to Harold Waymon October 21, 1957 and he preceded her in death March 23, 2013.
She later united in marriage to Shelby Pelston February 14, 2015.
Besides her husband, Shelby Pelston of Elk Horn, Frances is survived by one son and two daughters: Michael Waymon and wife, Lois of Winchester, Cindy Nelson and companion, Allen Dudgeon of Campbellsville and Angie Waymon Shuffett of Elk Horn; three step-children: Debbie Atkins and husband, Mark, Darrell Pelston and Stevie Pelston and wife, Beth Ann of Columbia; five grandchildren: Kevin Nelson of Louisville, Jessica Hedgespeth and husband, Bobby of Campbellsville, Michael Lindsey Waymon and wife, Tiffany of Central City, Brooke Reece and husband, Matt of Columbia and John Shuffett of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; five step-grandchildren: Crystal Pelston Tucker, Dustin Pelston, Tyler Pelston and Aiden Pelston of Columbia and Matt Pelston and wife, Leslie of Edmonton; twelve great-grandchildren: Dalton Young, Austin Demers, Sierra Demers, Ami Reece, Jacob Nelson, Luke Nelson, Daniel Nelson, Chase Thomas Hedgespeth, Maykalee Decker, Brody Tucker, Brynlee Waymon and Zeke Waymon; three sisters: Vera Campbell of Campbellsville, Louise Bricken and husband, John of Louisville and Cathy Tapscott and fiancée, Billy Gumm of Greensburg; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Frances was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister: Malcolm Wethington, Lawrence Wethington, Patrick Wethington and Anna Catherine Wethington.

 Rev. Carol G. Perkins, the son of the late Riley and Pernie Perkins, was born Monday, July 15, 1940 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Thursday, November 14, 2019 in Campbellsville at his home.
He was 79 years and 4 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was called into the ministry as a pastor in the Separate Baptist Church, having served as pastor of Flatwoods in Columbia, Holy Temple in Albany and Victory Church in Campbellsville and was one of the founders of Campbellsville Separate Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of Parker-Kalon in Campbellsville, where he was a tool and die maker. He loved visiting and meeting new people everywhere he went, he never met a stranger.
He enjoyed making knives, photography, grafting apple trees and spending time with family and friends and playing with his dogs.
He united in marriage on August 12, 1962 to Carol Ann Tungate Perkins, who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter: Tina Perkins-Draper and husband Dennis of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Aaron Brock and wife Elesha, Mackenzie Brock and wife Jessika, Kansas Riley Gutierrez and husband Alex and Wayne Draper; ten great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Rev. Perkins, was also preceded in death by four sisters: Margaret Wilson, Dorthea Read, Frances Hayes and Linda Cox and a brother: Clyde Perkins.
The funeral service for Rev. Carol G. Perkins will be Monday, November 18, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. EST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Bro. Clifton Cowan and Bro. Roger Peak will be officiating.
Pallbearers: Dwayne Cox, Richard Chelf, Lonnie Farmer, Mike Bennett, Randy Reece and Billy Wilson.

 Mrs. Dortha Ellen (Rich) Hoosier of Campbellsville passed from this life on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. Born on January 18, 1935 to the late Louie S. and Birtie Matilda (Davis) Rich, she was 84 years, 9 months, and 26 days of age. Mrs. Hoosier had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Her kind and gentle spirit will greatly missed and cherished for generations.
She leaves to mourn her passing:
Six children: Kathy Abston of Greensburg, and Carol Cox, Lois Hoosier, Joyce Sherrill and fiancé James McFarland, Daniel Hoosier and wife Lisa, all of Campbellsville, and Brenda Williamson of Greensburg,
Seven siblings: Kenneth Rich, Hubert Rich, Willard Rich, Donnie Rich, David Rich, Maggie Gentry, and Flossie Martin,
Eighteen grandchildren,
And a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Dean Hoosier, and a grandchild, James Ervin Hoosier.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Hoosier on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Burial will follow in the Barnett’s Creek Cemetery, 1342 Barnetts Creek Rd, Columbia, KY.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, November 16, from 5:00-8:00 PM.

 Donna Ann Corbin of Campbellsville, daughter of Sheraline Cox and the late John Wise, was born January 8, 1960 in Campbellsville, Kentucky. She died on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 after battling pancreatic cancer. She was age 59.
Donna was a strong woman of God and a lifetime member of Stoner Creek United Methodist Church. She loved her church family and serving the Lord. She blessed many through the years with her card ministry. In addition to her faith, Donna’s family and children were her main priority. She served for years as a Girl Scout Troop leader, Sunday School teacher, youth group leader and homeschooled her children.
She was known for her creativity, from scrapbooking to decorating, wreath making and cake decorating.
She was an employed by H & O Transport since the age of eighteen.
Donna and her husband, Tommy Corbin, were together for over forty-two years – since their junior prom. They united in marriage on May 6, 1981.
Donna is survived by her mother and step-father, Sheraline and James Cox; husband, Tommy Corbin; two children: Trista Corbin Moss and husband, Ryan of Bardstown and Thomas “Blake” Corbin and wife, Jamie of Campbellsville; grandchildren: Cora Moss, Aria Corbin and two grandchildren on the way and many other relatives, church family and friends.

Russ entered this life at the Rosary Hospital, in Campbellsville, Kentucky, on July 09, 1962. His parents are Bill and Carolyn Wethington, Campbellsville. In addition to his parents, Russ had three brothers, two sisters-in-law, two nieces and one aunt who remain. The brothers, sisters-in-law and nieces are: Van Wethington, his wife, Jennifer and daughter, Grace, who live in Bowling Green, Kentucky. His brother, Scott Wethington, who lives in Campbellsville, Kentucky and Chris Wethington, his wife, Candy and their daughter, Taylor, who are residents of Glasgow, Kentucky. Russ’ aunt is Barbara Jean King of Lexington, Kentucky. Russ also has cousins who survive, as well as friends in Campbellsville and many friends in Lexington where he lived and worked for Shoe Carnival for 35 years.
Russ invited Christ into his heart and life and was baptized on May 18, 1976 by Brother Don Walters, minister (at that time), of the Campbellsville Christian Church where Russ maintained his membership.
Russ left this life at 4:30 on Saturday afternoon, November 2, 2019 at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, surrounded by his brothers and parents.
A memorial service will be held to honor Russ in Lexington, Saturday, November 16, with several of the corporate officers of Shoe Carnival in attendance.
In lieu of a formal funeral service, there will be a visitation at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home beginning at 2:00 P.M. and lasting until approximately 3:30 P.M. on Sunday, November 17, 2019. Following the visitation, there will be an interment service at Brookside Cemetery with Minister Joel Patton presiding.
Honors may be given to Russ by contributing to the Campbellsville Christian Church, to the Gideons International to purchase Bibles for distribution around the world or to the Brookside Cemetery maintenance fund.

 Mr. David Alan Stamp of Campbellsville passed from this life on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at the University of Louisville Hospital. He was born on September 30, 1963 in Marion County to Preston D. and the late Betty Lou (Clark) Stamp, and was 56 years, 1 month, and 4 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Christian faith. Mr. Stamp was a former builder and had worked most of his life in residential construction. In his spare time, he enjoyed collecting Native American memorabilia and knives, and spent many an afternoon humming along with the radio – his head under the hood of an old car, his beloved Blaze napping beside him.
Besides his father, Preston Stamp of Campbellsville, he leaves to cherish his memory:
Four siblings: Marshall Stamp and partner Ron of Georgia, Carla Spurling and husband Roger of Elk Horn, Marilyn Stamp of Acton, and Jerry Stamp and wife Tammy of Campbellsville,
And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Eva Marie Stamp.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Stamp on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 12:00 noon in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home. Sis. Anna Overstreet will be officiating. Mr. Stamp will be laid to rest in the Merrimac Cemetery. Barry Clark, Leonard Abell, Roger Spurling, Terry Pitman, Harley Stamp, and J.R. Bagby will serve as pallbearers. Preston Stamp will stand as an honorary pallbearer.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 6, from 5:00-8:00 PM.

William E. “Billy” Benningfield of Campbellsville, son of the late Clarence Benningfield and Jessie Evelyn Page Benningfield was born September 2, 1943 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 1:05 A.M., Monday, November 4, 2019 in Campbellsville. Age: 76
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church.
Billy was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served his country honorably in the United States Army.
He was a retired carpenter.
He is survived by one son, Brad Benningfield; two brothers and five sisters: Edward “Boss” Benningfield and wife, Barbara Jean, Betty Jean Graham, Sue Pierce and husband, Pete and Karen Karnes and husband, David of Campbellsville, James “Boody” Benningfield of Finley, Shirley Raikes of Louisville, and Opal Henson of PeeWee Valley; special friend, Harry Reif of Campbellsville.
Billy was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters: Carroll Benningfield, Ronnie Benningfield, Linda Simpson and Aileen Gaddis.

Clyde Akridge of Campbellsville, son of the late Marvin Akridge and Marie Peterson Akridge, was born April 2, 1944 in Green County, Kentucky. He died at 1:15 P.M., Saturday, November 2, 2019 in Louisville. Age: 75
Clyde was a man of God, serving as a deacon and church moderator in the Baptist faith for many years. He loved his church family and working in the Lord and attended Point Pleasant Lighthouse Baptist Church.
He was lifelong farmer, loved the lord and never forgot to tell his wife and children, I Love You each and every day. He cherished his wife and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. It can be said that, “Grandpa has ears that truly listen, arms that always hold, love that’s never ending and a heart that’s made of gold.” He was a generous man to anyone in need and would have given his shirt off his back if he thought you needed it. He gave everyone the same respect as the next and will be missed by all his neighbors and friends alike.
Clyde united in marriage to Dwalla Rash February 8, 1964.
Besides his wife of 56 years, Dwalla Akridge of Campbellsville, he is survived by one daughter and one son: Cynthia Akin and husband, Todd, and Lee Akridge and wife, Suzette of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Samantha Akridge and Nick Pendleton and wife, Bailee of Campbellsville, and Brittany Wells and husband, Logan of Louisville; one step-grandchild, Carlotta Dunlap and husband, Chuck of Greensburg; one great-granddaughter, Leighton Wells of Louisville; two sisters and one brother: Lottie Newcomb and Leslie Akridge of Campbellsville, and Mary Powers of Lexington; sister-in-law, Linda Akridge of Cloverport; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Clyde was also preceded in death by a brother, Damon Akridge.

 Mrs. Ashleigh Nicole “Ginger” Swiney passed from this life on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at her home in Campbellsville. Daughter of the late Steven Swiney and Sonya Renee (Bryant) Catlett, she was 30 years, 5 months, and 9 days of age. Mrs. Swiney had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church. She was a patriot and proudly served her country honorably in the United States Army. Though cystic fibrosis would eventually claim her life, she rarely complained, and will be remembered for her good-natured pranks and her infectious laughter in spite of her many difficulties.
She leaves to cherish her memory:

Burial will follow in the Mt. Gilboa Baptist Church Cemetery. Full military honors will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 5, from 10:00 AM until time for the service.
