Elwin Lee Martin, Jr. of Campbellsville, son of the late Elwin Lee “Bub” Martin, Sr. and Marie Frances “Dollie” Malone Martin, was born September 23, 1940, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 11:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 24, 2019 in Campbellsville. Age: 78
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Green River Memorial Baptist Church.
In his younger years, he enjoyed bird hunting and fishing. He was a past Master of Elk Horn Mason Lodge 568 F & A M. Elwin was a retired heavy equipment operator.
He united in marriage to Lana Carol Williams June 30, 1961 and she preceded him in death March 25, 2017.
He is survived by two sisters: Sharon Herron of Campbellsville and Mary Evelyn Vaughn and husband, Dennis of Bowing Green; one brother-in-law, Richard Williams and wife, Linda of Campbellsville; one sister-in-law, Patricia Pierce of Campbellsville; and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a nephew, Martin Rainwater.

Regena Beard of Williamsburg, Ohio, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Cosby Bradshaw and Cora Philpott Bradshaw, was born October 11, 1929, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 8:13 A.M., Sunday, July 21, 2019 in Georgetown, Ohio. Age: 89
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pitman Valley Baptist Church.
Regena was a retired employee of Cintas.
She united in marriage to Delbert Beard May 5, 1951 and he preceded her in death November 27, 2017.
She is survived by one son and four daughters: D. L. Beard and wife, Patty and Joyce Becker and husband, Ed of Owenton, Rosemary Becker and husband, Dave of Williamsburg, Ohio, Cheryl Rickey and husband, Randy of East Gate, Ohio and Anita Bunnell and husband, Greg of Indianapolis, Indiana; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters: John T. Bradshaw of Shelbyville, Donald Bradshaw of Ohio, Colene Wilson of Ohio, Ruby Wilson and Dianne Smothers of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Glendal Keith Beard, one sister and three brothers: Wilma Bradshaw, Lyman Bradshaw, Dallas Bradshaw and Willard Bradshaw.

Marilyn Landis, 53

Marilyn Rayna Landis, the daughter of the late Jimmy Roution and Lynna Beth (Kerr) Gupton was born Monday, December 13, 1965 in Campbellsville and departed this life on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 in Campbellsville at her home. She was 53 years of age.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her step-father: Bobby Gupton and a sister: April Gupton.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church. She was a former medical billing encoder and a former employee of Intelenet. She was very crafty, enjoyed sewing, reading, playing the guitar, singing and listening to music of all kinds, she loved to dance and spend time with family and friends.

Survivors include her husband of 18 years: Mark Wright of Campbellsville; two daughters: Dayna Cox and husband Del, Maranda Durbin and husband Jason and Jacob Holmes and fiancé: Sarah Burris, all of Campbellsville; a brother: Michael Roution and wife Pat of Campbellsville; her step-mother: Partha Martin of Campbellsville; a special niece: Rachel Gupton of Indiana; 11 Grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Marilyn Rayna Landis will be conducted Friday, July 26, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville with cremation to follow.

Bro. Jason Roop will be officiating.

Family requests visitation after 2:00 P.M. on Friday until time for the service at the funeral home.

J. T. Beard of Campbellsville, son of the late Dennis Beard and Ida Mary Rice Beard, was born April 9, 1932 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 6:56 A.M., Saturday, July 20, 2019 in Lexington. Age: 87
He professed faith in Christ, was of the Baptist faith and also enjoyed singing in the choir. He also enjoyed being outdoors and loved gardening and fishing.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and served his country honorably in the United States Navy.
J. T. was a retired supervisor with Tennessee Gas Transmission.
He united in marriage to Melva Wethington December 6, 1957.
Besides his wife, Melva Beard, he is survived by three sons and one daughter:
Scott Beard and wife, Gayle of Campbellsville, Bernie Beard and wife, Tina of Plantersville, Texas, Jeff Beard of West Virginia and Janie Hlavinka and husband, Brian of East Bernard, Texas; seven grandchildren: Amanda Beard, Blair Beard Burress, Shelby Beard, Nathan Hlavinka, Andrew Hlavinka, Joshua Hlavinka and Ethan Hlavinka; four great grandchildren: Aiden Zuniga, Layla Zuniga, Boe Burress and Jason Burress; one brother, Jimmy Beard of Campbellsville and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Kenneth Beard and Alvin Beard.

Ella J. Holmes of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Hawk Johnson and Zeola Beshears Johnson was born December 8, 1931 in Russell County, Kentucky. She died at 3:55 P.M., Thursday, July 18, 2019 in Campbellsville. Age: 87
She professed faith in Christ and loved God and loved attending church.
Ella was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and also loved helping to care for the elderly.
She united in marriage to Samuel Carl Holmes March 1, 1947. He preceded her in death September 13, 2013.
She is survived by four daughters and five sons: Judy Jones and husband, Jimmy, Janey Read and husband, Lemuel, Pam Russell and husband, Jerry, Danny Holmes, and Terry Holmes of Campbellsville, Linda Sharpe and husband, Edward of Greensburg, Samuel G. Holmes of Greenwood, Indiana, Jerry Holmes and wife, Nancy of St. Paul, Indiana, and Ronnie Holmes of Vancouver, Washington; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; her little dog she loved so much, “Joy” and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Kim Holmes, a granddaughter, Bethany Mann, a grandson, Tadd Holmes; and two sisters and five brothers: Clarice Tavault, Elsie Walker, Earl Johnson, Eura Johnson, Houston Johnson, Carlie Johnson and Winford Johnson.

Wanda Lee Willis of Radcliff, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Tom Harris and Dencie Lee Bray Harris, was born February 10, 1952 in Larue County, Kentucky. She died Thursday, July 18, 2019 in Radcliff. Age: 67
She professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.
Wanda was a former Certified Nursing Assistant at Taylor Regional Hospital.
She united in marriage to James R. “Jim” Willis August 15, 1970 and he preceded her in death April 10, 1998.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Sherry Willis of Radcliff; three grandchildren: Gavin Willis of Elizabethtown, Abby Willis of Campbellsville and Armani Carman of Radcliff and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Junior Harris and Judy Richardson.

Bill Dishman, 70

Mr. Billie Joe “Bill” Dishman of Campbellsville was born on August 12, 1948 in Wayne County to the late June Toomie and Della Mae (Stinson) Dishman. He departed this life on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, being 70 years, 11 months, and 8 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and enjoyed attending several area churches. He was a carpenter by trade and had built several homes.
Mr. Dishman enjoyed staying active and being outdoors. He was often found piddling around a flea market, or just riding around enjoying the scenery. He was a proud lifetime member of the NRA, and loved watching his grandkids and dogs play.
He leaves to mourn his passing:
One daughter: Tena Gowen of Campbellsville,
Two grandchildren: Cheyenne and Conor Joe,
One great-grandchild,
Three siblings: Lonnie Dishman of Hodgenville, Pauline McGinnis of Campbellsville, and Grady Dishman and wife Grace of Monticello,
Special nieces: Sue Dishman, Sissy Dishman, and Brenda Despain,
Close friends: Dorothy Blevins and Carolyn Gaines,
And several other friends and family members.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters: Donnie Dishman, Delmar Dishman, Trammell Dishman, Betty Burnette, and Jewell Dishman.
There will be a graveside service to honor the life of Mr. Dishman on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 12:00 PM EST (11:00 AM CST) in the Dishman Cemetery, Dishman Cemetery Rd, Monticello, KY. Bro. Mike Woodrum will be officiating.

Tremaine J. McArthur of Campbellsville, son of the late Earl McArthur and Helen Rowlands McArthur, was born January 22, 1932 in Remsen, New York. He died at 10:40 A.M., Wednesday, July 17, 2019 in Campbellsville. Age: 87
He professed faith in Christ.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and served his country honorably in the United States Navy on the USS Wren.
Tremaine was a retired U. S. Government civilian employee.
He was a very supportive father and was a member of the Hathaway Masonic Lodge #869 where he was past Master and Secretary.
He united in marriage to Judith Hammon November 15, 1958.
Besides his wife, Judith H. McArthur, he is survived by one son and one daughter: Andrew J. McArthur of New York and Dr. Lisa R. McArthur of Campbellsville. He is also survived by a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Albert John Hammon and Jan Hammon of Florida.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Heber McArthur.

He united in marriage to Dorothy Jean Young March 31, 1956 and she preceded him in death October 18, 2017.

Joyce was a retired secretary for the Vocational Rehab Services.
She united in marriage to Edward “Eddie” L. Graham, Sr. February 6, 1960 and he preceded her in death February 12, 2015.
She is survived by one daughter and one son: Cynthia M. Scott and husband, Anthony of Scottsville and Edward “Eddie” L.
