Gary Wayne Beard of Campbellsville, son of the late Charles Allen Beard and Mona Mann Beard, was born January 9, 1960, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 15, 2019 in Campbellsville. Age: 59
Gary was of the Baptist faith.
He received an Associate of Business Management from Bluegrass Community Technical College before attending the University of Kentucky. He was a former food service employee.
He enjoyed listening to rock and roll music, watching countless movies, and fishing with his sons. Gary was very charismatic and never met a stranger.
He is survived by three sons and one daughter: Noah Beard and Dylan Beard of Lexington Allie Beard and fiancé, Alec Stoess of Wimauma, Florida and Gary Lynn Beard of Campbellsville; one grandson, Braylon Beard; three brothers and two sisters: Michael Beard and wife, Rhonda, Ronnie Beard and Rita Parsons of Campbellsville, Donnie Beard and wife, Marsha of Knifley and Charlotte Parnell of Hamilton, Ohio and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by three sisters: Donna Bland, Janet Whitaker and Brenda Colvin.

Eilleen Dotson, 32

Ms. Mary Eilleen Dotson of Campbellsville passed from this life on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at her home after an extended illness. Daughter of Linda (Dotson) Shepherd, she was 32 years of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ, and was of the Baptist faith. Ms. Dotson suffered many physical hindrances during her life, but her love for her family and friends never waned. She had a soft spot for sick animals, and nursed many a stray back to health.

She leaves to mourn her passing:

Her mother: Linda Shepherd of Campbellsville,

Two siblings: Daniel Manning of Monticello, and Lee Manning of Somerset,

An aunt that helped raise her as a mother and caregiver: Rita Ritchie and her children, Michael House and wife Emily, and Anthony Chastain, all if Campbellsville, and Roger Dotson of Texas,

Two uncles: Donnie Dotson of Campbellsville, and Tom Dotson of Indiana,

Nieces and nephews: Marcus House, Kayden House, and Khloe House,

And several other family members and close friends.

She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Floyd and Rosemary Dotson, her great-grandmother, Lillie Karnes, and an uncle, Dean Dotson.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Ms. Dotson on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L. R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Burial will follow in the Otter Creek Cemetery. Bro. Joe Milby will be officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, Jan 18, from 11:00 AM until time for the service.

Karen Gail Sapp Fawcett of Campbellsville, daughter of Margaret Rodgers Sapp and the late Samuel Sapp, was born August 5, 1956 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 12:34 P.M., Monday, January 14, 2019 in Elizabethtown. Age: 62
She professed faith in Christ and attended New Journey Church.
Karen was an employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville for eighteen years and more recently, was employed as an administrative assistant to the Director of Athletics at Campbellsville University for fourteen years.
She was passionate about health and believed in the power of Jesus and His healing.
She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and time relaxing at the beach.
She united in marriage to Bill Fawcett May 14, 1981.
Besides her husband, Bill Fawcett, she is survived by one daughter, Lynde Landis and Richie Zuniga of Campbellsville; one step-son, Chad Fawcett and wife, Sharonda of Glasgow; three grandchildren: Will Landis and Knox Landis of Campbellsville and Zach Fawcett of Glasgow; her mother, Margaret Sapp of Campbellsville; two brothers and one sister: Steve Sapp of Campbellsville, Brad Sapp and wife, Sheryl of Hudgins and Jennifer Wethington and husband, Van of Bowling Green; her mother-in-law, Hazel Fawcett of Campbellsville and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

William Floyd “Bill” Davis, 76

Mr. William Floyd “Bill” Davis of Campbellsville passed from this life on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville. Born on January 27, 1942, he was 76 years, 11 months, and 17 days of age. Mr. Davis was a salesman, and worked many years serving the people of Taylor County from the Helig-Meyers Furniture Store, and was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed his family time, and spent many an evening watching a football or basketball game with them.

He leaves to mourn his passing:

A former spouse: Mona Davis of Campbellsville,

Two children: Misty Cobb of Campbellsville, and Tommy Davis, Sr. and wife Hazel of San Diego, California,

Five grandchildren: Adrian Cobb, Kali Whitlow, Christian Rodriguez, Lexi Rodriguez, and Tommy Davis, Jr.,

Two great-grandchildren: Ariana Cobb-Lamer, and Aaliyah Cobb-Lamer,

And a host of other family and friends.

Mr. Davis had desired to advance science, and had enrolled in the body bequeathment program at the University of Louisville.

Pauline Townsend of Jeffersonville, Indiana, daughter of the late Paul Richard Kinney and Fern Gallop Kinney, was born April 2, 1932 in Bradford, Maine. She died at 6:00 A.M., Sunday, January, 13, 2019 in Indiana. Age: 86
She professed faith in Christ and attended Elkhorn Tabernacle.
Pauline was a retired seamstress in the family drapery business.
She united in marriage to Dewain Townsend July 14, 1955.
Besides her husband, Dewain Townsend of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Pauline is survived by three children: Steve Kinney and wife, Ann, Nena Razor and husband, Kevin and Doug Townsend of Louisville; one grandson, Timothy Kinney and wife, Angela Renee of Brandenburg; one great-grandson, Jacob Ryan Kinney of Brandenburg; one brother, John Kinney and wife, Carolyn of Hendersonville, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters: Olive Kinney Easterly and Coralee Kinney Fussell.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church.
John was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
He enjoyed pitching horse shoes and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandkids.
He united in marriage to Helen Cox August 4, 1961.
Besides his wife, Helen McVay, he is survived by one son and two daughters: John McVay and wife, Kim, Lisa Cave and husband, Kevin and Debbie Tungate and husband, Martin; four grandchildren: Wade Cave, Lydia Cave, Brayden McVay and Brianna McVay; two brothers: Tommy McVay and wife, Margaret and Randy McVay and wife, Mary, all of Campbellsville and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Lorena was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She enjoyed sewing at home and was a member of the Red Hatters.
She united in marriage to Wallace Lewis January 16, 1960 and he preceded her in death June 15, 1992.
She is survived by two daughters: Marlene Harper and husband, Sam and Cindy Murphy of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Chris Harper and wife, Tabitha, Nikki Allen and husband, John, J. R. Murphy and Paige Murphy of Campbellsville; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers and one sister: Donald Gray and wife, Patricia, Raymond Gray and wife, Betty, Gary Wayne Gray and wife, Patricia and Mabel Karnes and husband, Ronnie of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Rev. Ivy Carole Brasher Ferree

Rev. Ivy Carole Brasher Ferree went to her Heavenly home on January 11, 2019. She joins her husband, Rev. Ron Ferree, her parents, W. D. and Mable Brasher, a brother, Charles, and other friends and relatives.

Carole was born on March 23, 1949 and grew up in Milan, Tennessee. She married her high school sweetheart, Ron Ferree in 1966. They had one child, Felicia Carole Ferree Miller.

Carole received her Master’s degree in Social Work and worked as Licensed Clinical Social Worker for years at Adanta Clinical Services. She retired in 2009 from Adanta. Since 2014, she has been the Executive Director of Phoenix Way working with adult individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Carole was also an ordained minister in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. In the 90s, she served as Pastor in Beaver Dam and the Perryville church. Over the years, she had done pulpit supply and felt this was where her greatest service to the Lord would be.

Carole leaves on this earth: one brother, Mickey Brasher of Milan, Tennessee; Felicia Ferree Miller, daughter; four grandkids: Sgt. Dakota Meyer, Tim Gilliam, Marissa Gilliam and Talia Crabtree and husband, Shawn; seven great-grandkids: Sailor Meyer, Kayden Crabtree, Elaina Gilliam, Atlee Meyer, Keaton Crabtree and Baylor and Benjamin Ratchford; one companion, Kenny Clements.

Juanita Joyce Forbes, of Lebanon, the daughter of the late Austin C and Anna Mae (Zich) Hunter, was born Sunday, January 6, 1946 in Evanston, Illinois and departed this life on Thursday, January 10, 2019 in Campbellsville at the Grandview Nursing and Rehab. She was 73 year and 5 days of age.
She worked for many years on a turf farm and raised her step-children: Sandy, Cathy, Shelly and Robbie and was a homemaker in her later years. She enjoyed painting and computer games.
Besides her step-children, she is survived by a sister and caregiver: Rita Faye Blake of Lebanon, a brother: William (Bill) Spencer Hunter and wife Twyla of Cleveland, Mississippi; her nieces and nephews: Angeline Connor, Seth Owen McDowell, Daniel Blake, David Harrin and wife Tara and Wendy Groce and husband Clint.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Robert Earl Hunter.
The family has chosen cremation and a memorial service will be held at a later date in Centertown, KY where she will be laid to rest with her parents in the Small Hous Cemetery.
