Marilyn Faye Poff of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Walter and Hattie Harrison Rainwater, was born January 21, 1940, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died Tuesday, June 21, 2016 in Greensburg, Kentucky at the age of 76. She was united in marriage to Charlie Thomas Poff on January 4, 1958. She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. She professed faith in Christ at an early age and was a member of Palestine Baptist Church. Besides her husband of 58 ½ years, she is survived by one son and one daughter: Thomas Poff and wife, Kaylene, of Campbellsville, and Phyllis Mills and husband, Brian, of Kennewick, Washington; two grandchildren: Adam Poff and wife, Shea, of Lebanon and Andrea Morrison and husband, Christopher, of Campbellsville; one step grand-daughter Kayleigh Mills Duddy and husband, Sean, of Paderborn, Germany; four great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren: Abby Morrison, Ethan Poff, Anna Poff, Jase Morrison, Alex Duddy, Jack Duddy and Hollie Duddy; six brothers and sisters: Martha Corbin, Carolyn Bright, Arlene Herron, Edith Humphress and husband, Billy Joe, Ronnie Rainwater and wife Helen, Joanna Gilbert and husband, Bill; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Douglas Rainwater.
The family would like to thank the Golden Living Center Greenhill staff for all of their loving care.

Rodney Franklin Cox of Campbellsville, son of the late Edgar Cox and Nellie Mae Watson Cox, was born March 24, 1935, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 12:02 A.M., Wednesday, June 22, 2016 in Campbellsville. Age: 81
He professed faith in Christ and attended Elk Horn Tabernacle.
He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville and was later known as the neighborhood handyman.
He united in marriage to Margrie Thompson October 22, 1955. She preceded him in death October 19, 2009.
He is survived by two sons and one daughter: Kennie Cox and Paul Cox and fiancée, Deborah Sullivan of Campbellsville and Rhonda Gail Greene and husband, Reggie of Tucson, Arizona; eight grandchildren: Trenton Cox, Victoria Cox, Tanner Cox, Kevin Parker, Shannon Augusta, Tony Parker, Jason McQuarie and Madisen Sullivan; several great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Russell Cox and wife, Nellie Mae of Elk Horn; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by four sisters: Opal Wood, Ruby Wood, Regina Gabehart and Ina Spalding.

Sue Barnett Miller of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Charlie Harrison and Gertha Cox Harrison, was born January 22, 1941, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 11:42 A.M., Sunday, June 19, 2016 in Louisville. Age: 75
She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She was secretary for the Ladies’ Auxillary for twenty-two years and was a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.
She is survived by one daughter, Debbie Claywell of Campbellsville; three grandsons: Shannon Claywell of Shepherdsville, Shawn Claywell of Louisville and Brandon Claywell and wife, Brittany of Campbellsville; two great-grandchildren: Braysen Claywell and Briggs Claywell; one brother and one sister: Charles Harrison of Ohio and Louise Polley of Campbellsville; special friend, Mike Milby of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Johnnie Barnett and one brother and one sister: Bernard Harrison and Lillian Perkins.

Bobby Ray Tomes of Campbellsville, son of the late Earl Tomes and Pearl Feeback Tomes, was born March 3, 1932, in Casey County, Kentucky. He died at 1:42 A.M., Monday, June 20, 2016 in Campbellsville. Age: 84
He was a retired farmer and later drove the van for Taylor Regional Hospital cancer patients for fifteen years.
He served his country honorably in the United States Navy.
He united in marriage to Margaret Kearnes December 23, 1951.
Besides his wife, Margaret Tomes of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son, Barry Tomes of Campbellsville; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and
many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by son, Bobby Joe Tomes in infancy.

Mrs. Frances “Granny” White of Campbellsville was born on Tuesday, February 18, 1930 in Taylor County to the late Henry and Lola (Clark) Martin. She departed this life on Friday, June 17, 2016 in Celina, Tennessee at the age of 86 years, 3 months, and 30 days. She was a retired caregiver. Mrs. White enjoyed watching NASCAR, sewing, cooking, and gardening, but her true calling was to be a friend and grandmother. She was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church and had completed the Campbellsville Emmaus Walk.
She leaves to carry her legacy:
One daughter: Susan Miller of Campbellsville,
Three sons: Keith Ratcliff and Annette Ratcliff of Campbellsville, Dewey Ratcliff and wife Sharon of New Albany, IN, and Phillip Ratcliff of Celina, TN,

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Frances “Granny” White on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718 at 3:00 PM EST. Bro. Larry Frisby will be officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded her after the service.

Betty Melvin Roar, 81, of Wurtland, KY, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, in the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY.
Mrs. Roar was born August 30, 1934 in Wurtland, KY, a daughter of the late Cermilus and Clytie Colegrove Melvin. She was preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Roar; one grandson; two granddaughters; one brother, Gerald Melvin; and two sisters, Ruth Russell and Minnie Potter.
She was a member of the Wurtland Church of God and a very devout Christian.
Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Walter Roar, Sr., two sons, Pete (Trudy) Roar and Scott Roar both of Wurtland, KY; four daughters, Marlene (Raymond) Clark of Campbellsville, KY, Shelby Litteral of Wurtland, KY, Clytie (David) Porter of Ashland, KY, and Cathy (Mark) Reeves of Catlettsburg, KY; one daughter-in-law, Jane Roar of Greenup, KY; 18 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; one brother, Jesse Melvin of Flatwoods, KY; and three sisters, Elizabeth Witten of West Jefferson, OH, Zella Penix and Joy Litteral of Wurtland, KY.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at the Wurtland Church of God under the care of the Evans Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday at the Church by the Bishop Henry Montgomery. Burial will be in the Roar Cemetery in Wurtland, KY.

Carlton Noel, age 79, of Campbellsville died Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Taylor Regional Hospital following an illness.
He was born Carlton Keith Noel on July 15, 1936 to the late John Henry “Pete” and Opal Malone Noel and went by the nickname “Bull Moose”. On November 9, 1957 he married Retta Cox who preceded him in death on June 8, 2006. A son, Barry Noel, also preceded him in death.
Carlton worked for Fruit of the Loom for 25 years followed by nine years of service at Taylor Regional Hospital. A talented musician, he enjoyed playing the steel guitar. He played at the Lincoln Jamboree for thirteen years.
He is survived by his children, Ann Reynolds, Carla Smith and her husband, Billy, Lisa Noel, Jason Noel, Jamie Noel and his wife, Kelly, Brandon Noel, Amanda Noel, Kierstie Webb and Kayla Webb, all of Campbellsville and Miranda Miller and her husband, Chris of Hodgenville and six grandchildren, Ruger Noel, Ryder Noel, Aubrey Miller, Braxton Cisco, Layla Chaney and Kaley Miller.
Funeral services for Carlton Noel will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 18th at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Hollings officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Chapel Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Ricky Williams, Junior Cox, Brian Cox, Keith Cox, Daniel Vickous and Waylon Pendleton.

Kaleena Michelle Moyers, age 34, of Goshen Road in Stanford, passed away Friday, June 10, 2016 at Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford. Born Thursday,December 31, 1981 in Danville, she was the daughter of Larry Baker (step-mother, Lorraine) of Willisburg and Wanda Broce Bullock of Stanford. Her loving husband, whom she married February 12, 2016, is Don Allen Moyers of Stanford, whom he referred to as his “Babygirl”. Kaleena worked as a CNA and was planning to get her RN license starting in the fall. She also enjoyed traveling with Allen in his semi-tractor trailer.
In addition to her husband and parents, Kaleena leaves behind one son, Bradley Lynn Walters of Stanford; two daughters, Brianna Sierra Michelle Berry (Robert Hartrum) & Kayla Nicole Walters both of Stanford; one brother, Russell Lynn Marcum (Jennifer Broce) of Stanford; and three sisters, Tracy Foley and Kimberly Lee Weldon both of Stanford and Tina Baker (Charles) of Tennessee.
Kaleena was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Thomas Baker; and her step-father, William Bullock.

David Bell of Campbellsville, son of the late Virgil Lawrence Bell and Stella Louise Killen Bell, was born September 20, 1943, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 1:09 P.M., Sunday, June 12, 2016 in Louisville. Age: 72
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Roberts Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for several years.
He was a barber for over fifty-plus years and a retired farmer.
He united in marriage to Pat Wethington November 16, 1963.

Mrs. Nancy Belle (Harris) Franklin of Campbellsville was born on February 29, 1968 to Melvin “Dick” Harris and the late Shelby Jean (Tungate) Miller. She departed this life on Saturday, June 11, 2016 in Greensburg after an extended illness. She was 48 years, 3 months, and 13 days of age. She professed faith in Christ and attended the Greensburg Baptist Church as her health allowed.
