 Mr. Robert Henry “Bob” Wheeler of Campbellsville passed from this life on Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab Center after a battle with cancer. Born in Estill County, Kentucky on February 26, 1948 to the late Charles and Nancy Boyd (Lunsford) Wheeler, he was 68 years and 6 months of age at the time of his death. Mr. Wheeler spent the majority of his life in the construction industry. As a young child, his mother and father had instilled in him a faith in Christ, and earlier this year, he was saved and baptized in the Baptist faith.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
Three children: Melinda Howard and husband Coy of Springfield, Mary Wheeler of Louisville, and Bro. Clay Wheeler and wife Heather of Staffordsville,
Two sisters: Margarita Thomas of Lexington, and Sue Dabney and husband Billy of Mannsville,
Four grandchildren: Jacob Howard, Derek Howard, Matilyn Wheeler, and Elias Wheeler,
A niece and nephew: Ann Dabney and Neil Dabney and wife Jaclyn,
And a host of other family and close friends.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Charles Curtis Wheeler.
There will be a memorial service to honor the life of Mr. Wheeler on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 6:00 PM EST at the Meadowview Baptist Church, 1211 Elkhorn Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718 with Bro. Clay Wheeler officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church after 4:00 PM until time for the service, and after the service until 8:00 PM. At Mr. Wheeler’s request, his ashes will be returned to Estill County for burial in the family cemetery alongside his parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials take the form of contributions to the burial expenses. Those can be made online through the “How Can I Help” tab on the front page, or in person at the church during the ceremony. They may also be mailed to the L.R. Wilbur David Phillips of Campbellsville, son of the late Ray H. Phillips and Blanche Thompson Phillips, was born November 22, 1944, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 10:30 P.M., Wednesday, August 24, 2016 in Campbellsville. Age: 71
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served his country honorably in the United States Army in Germany and achieved the rank of Sergeant. He received the National Defense Service Medal, and Sharpshooter (rifle)
He was a retired Chemical Plant Manager.
He united in marriage to Jewell Cook Phillips, May 13, 1968. She preceded him in death December 21, 2003.
He united in marriage to Susan Fitzgerald June 26, 2004.
Besides his wife, Susan Phillips of Campbellsville, he is survived by two daughters: Shannon Martin and husband, Davey of Greensburg and Danielle O’Brien and husband, Shawn of Columbus, Ohio; four step-daughters: Debra Severino of Wesley Chapel, Florida, Cherida Severino of Greenbrier, Tennessee, Mara Hutchings and husband, Brian of Estill Springs, Tennessee and Charlotte Pelto and husband, Marty of Springfield, Tennessee; fifteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers: Marguerite Clark, Nancy Phillips, Wayne Delmore Phillips, Irvin Phillips, Garnett Phillips, and Alton Phillips.

Verniece Lee Taylor of Campbellsville, daughter of the late “Vernie” Graham and Elsie Noel Graham, was born February 3, 1940, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 9:45 P.M., Wednesday, August 24, 2016 in Louisville. Age: 76
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Elk Horn Baptist Church.
She spent several years as a member of the United Methodist Women’s Circle,
she loved to fish and was passionate about her family.
She was an employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville for 29 years.
She united in marriage to “Susie” Lee in 1959 and he preceded her in death in 1982.
She was preceded in death by a son, “Smitty” Lee, April 3, 1990.
She united in marriage to Marshall Taylor May 6, 1984.
Besides her husband, Marshall Taylor of Campbellsville, she is survived by two daughters: Susan Seaborne and husband, Donnie and Gayle Dowell and husband, Jimmy of Campbellsville; two step-sons: Jaysen Taylor and wife, Shannon of Campbellsville and Marion Taylor and wife, Janice of Greensburg; a daughter-in-law, Tracy Perkins of Campbellsville; nineteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Corrine Reliford Sublett and husband, Leonard of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters: Grover Graham, Charles Vern Graham, George Thurman Graham, Ray Graham, Edna Graham and Ruby Turner.

David Joseph Kerr, age 37, of Campbellsville died Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Taylor Regional Hospital following a hard fought battle with cancer.
He was born on September 17, 1978 in Campbellsville the son of the late Joseph Waymon and his mother, Tyann Kerr Morris who survives. David worked as a technician for DISH Network until his illness prevented him from doing so. He loved to ride his Harley, play music and study the Bible.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a grandfather, W. J. Kerr and his uncles, Doyle and Ricky Waymon.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Tyann Kerr Morris and her husband, Lloyd, of Campbellsville; a daughter, Leah Ann Kerr of Adair County; a son, Gabriel Will Kerr of Campbellsville; a brother, Daniel Wyatt and his wife Vel, of Campbellsville; his grandparents, Barbara Kerr Murphy, Teresa Jane Waymon and “Duck” Waymon all of Campbellsville; a step-father, Bill Wyatt and a half-sister, Bessie Waymon. Also surviving his aunts, Judy and Beverly Waymon, nephews, Wayne and Chris Gilpin, a special friend, Crystal Clemmons and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home followed by his wishes to be cremated.
The family requests visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 26th at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

 Mr. Frank H. Alexander of Knifley was born in Ypslanti, Michigan on Friday, June 5, 1936. He departed this life on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 80 years, 2 months, and 18 days of age. Mr. Alexander was married to Mrs. Dorothy (Rose) Alexander, who survives. He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Alexander was a veteran, having served his country honorably in the United States Army. As a young man, he began a career at the Ford Motor Company and worked there until retirement. With a desire to always leave things better than when he found them, he kept his mind sharp by playing euchre or solving word puzzles, and always had a well-manicured yard and flower garden.
He leaves to carry his legacy:

 Mrs. Laura Francis (McCawley) McGuire of Campbellsville passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 21, 2016 in Lebanon at the age of 91 years, 9 months, and 5 days. She was born at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville to the late Herbert L. and Laura Francis (Malone) McCawley on November 16, 1924. Mrs. McQuire married Donald Davis McGuire at the St. Mark Episcopal Church in Louisville on May 31, 1958, and they shared their lives until his passing in 2007. She professed faith in Christ and was a faithful member of the St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Campbellsville. Mrs. McGuire worked for Eastern Airlines in reservation services and loved to travel, do needlework, and arrange flowers.
She leaves to cherish her memory:
Two cousins: Lillian Hanscomb of Maine and her sister Alice Rudolph of Ohio,
Lifelong friend: Joan Kirzinger of Lebanon, and special friend: Helen Rice of Campbellsville.
A host of friends from Bluegrass Way, St. Thomas Church, and the Saloma Homemakers, and many friends from Boone and Banner Elk, North Carolina.
She was also preceded in death by her fraternal twin brother, Herbert Lawrence McCawley.
Mrs. McQuire chose cremation, and will be buried in the Lebanon National Cemetery with her husband. A memorial service to honor her life will be held at Bluegrass Way and will be scheduled and announced at a later date.

He was a former heavy equipment operator.
He united in marriage to Wanda Lou Little August 29, 1965.

 Mrs. Nancy Suzann Bunn of Campbellsville passed away on August 20, 2016 at her home. She was born in Bismarck, North Dakota on November 14, 1935 to the late Edward and Virgie (Cruse) Rutten. She was 80 years, 9 months, and 6 days of age at the time of her passing. Mrs. Bunn professed faith in Christ and was of the Catholic faith. She worked as a receptionist in the court system for over twenty years and was a homemaker. Mrs. Bunn married James Finch, who preceded her in death. Later, she married Linwood Bunn, who also preceded her in death. She loved to laugh and spread love graciously and abundantly throughout her family and friends, but kept the candy for herself. She enjoyed several hobbies, most notably raising flowers, watching hummingnbirds or gameshows, and frogs of all kinds.
She leaves to carry her legacy:
Three children: Michael Finch of California, Teresa Beck of Campbellsville, and Patrick Finch and wife Joni of Georgia,
One brother: Skip Rutten and wife Anneliese of Washington,
Seven grandchildren: Wayne Cotten, Jennifer Hawthorne, Samantha Leigh, Jacob Cotten, Krissy Raser, Mahayla Crawford, and Austin Crawford,
Nine great-grandchildren: Amariss Webster, Vanity Hawthorne, Victor Hawthorne, Jack Leigh, Shelby Leigh, Messiah Smith, Raya Smith, Tymere Smith, and Elizabeth Smith,
And a host of other family members and friends.
Besides her parents and both husbands, she was also preceded in death by two children: Jamie Finch and Timmy Finch and a brother and two sisters.
A memorial service will be conducted Friday at 6 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville.

 Edward Shearer of Campbellsville, son of Gwenda Morris Hitch and husband, William, was born February 24, 1967, in Highlands County, Florida. He died at 4:10 P.M., Wednesday, August 17, 2016 in Campbellsville. Age: 49
He was an employee of Joy Mining in Lebanon.
Edward spent countless hours using his mechanical and auto body skills in the restoration of many vehicles. Other passions of his were weight-lifting, which he enjoyed daily as well as riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Price; one son, Zach Shearer and girlfriend, Summer Whittington; mother and step-father, Gwenda and William Hitch; three sisters: Gwendolyn Cox, Judy Walden and Tracy Hitch of Campbellsville; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Durham of Campbellsville; sister-in-law, Kathy Jones and husband, Joey of Greensburg; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Rhonda Skaggs.

Larry Walters, age 73, of Milbys Lane, Campbellsville, died Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at his residence after an illness.
Larry was born January 26, 1943 in Taylor County to the late James Edward and Mattie Lou Pierce Walters. Besides his brother he was preceded in death by a brother Robert Walters. He was a member of Zion Separate Baptist Church and had worked as a van driver for Taylor Regional Hospital for several years.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Shofner Walters of Campbellsville, three daughters and their spouses, Mia and Kevin Milby, Tonya and Chris Gupton and Amanda Sprowles and her companion Ty Thompson all of Campbellsville. Six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive along with one brother and his wife, Eddie and Linda Walters and one sister-in-law, Carolyn Walters all of Campbellsville. One special cousin and his wife, Ray and Brenda Pierce of Pensacola, Florida also survive along with several other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Larry Walters will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Chapel with Bro. Rhonda Arnett and Bro. Mike Gribbins officiating. Burial will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are Troy Walters, Trent Walters, Jason Gabbert, Josh Gabbert, Rusty Shofner and Chris Howell. Honorary pallbearers will be the Zion Separate Baptist Church Men’s Sunday School Class.
The family request visitation from 5 to 8 PM Friday at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home and that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hosparus of Central Kentucky and can be made at the funeral home.
