Nellie Mae Bass of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Steve Gaddis and Leona Bottoms Gaddis was born September 25, 1928 in Jefferson County, Kentucky.
She died at 9:48 A.M., Sunday, October 11, 2015 in Campbellsville. Age: 87
She professed faith in Christ and was of the Church of God faith
She was a florist for over fifty years.
She was an avid Kentucky Wildcat Fan and she loved going on such adventures with her “Golden Girls” friends as hiking, campaigning, the derby etc.
She united in marriage to William Leo Bass who preceded her in death
May 23, 1985.
She is survived by two daughters: Patricia Hoosier of Campbellsville and Kathalee Tewell of Nashville, Tennessee; three grandchildren: Michael Tewell of Georgetown, Jennifer Callison and husband, Tim of Bowling Green and Donnie Seaborne and wife, Susan of Campbellsville; eight great- grandchildren: Collin Michael Tewell, Dylan Callison, Wyatt Callison, Bailey Grace Callison, Scott Seaborne and wife, Shaina, Casey Seaborne and wife, Allie, Jessica Seaborne and Chase Seaborne; three great-great-grandchildren: Riley Seaborne, Landon Seaborne, and Aria Seaborne; one sister, Inez Board of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers: Dorothy Gaddis, Evelyn Gaddis, Helen Gaddis, Kermit Gaddis and Kenneth Gaddis.

Bonnie Burress of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Richard Burress and Nona Childers Burress, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, October 26, 1940. She died at 1:10 A.M., Saturday, October 10, 2015 in Campbellsville. Age: 74
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Temple.
She was retired from Fruit of The Loom after more than 30 years of service.
She is survived by one son and one daughter: Terry White and Trena Durham of Campbellsville; five grandchildren: Tiffany Kelsay and husband, Jason, Bubby Squires and wife, Paige, Matt Squires and wife, Chelsea, Anthony White and Ashley Judd and husband, J.P.; one step-granddaughter, Sarah Arthur; five great-grandchildren: Brayden Janes, Austin Squires, Drew Squires, Easton Squires and Axton Squires; three step-great-grandchildren: Shelby Kelsay, Jakeb Kelsay and Max Kelsay; one sister, Betty Benningfield and husband, Ivan of Campbellsville, and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, John Durham, a daughter-in-law, Donna White and one brother, Donald Burress.

Blevins PicsthMr. Billy Frank Blevins, the son of the late John William “Bill” and Bertha A. Rucker Blevins, was born on October 18, 1930 in Campbellsville and departed this life on Friday, October 9, 2015 in Campbellsville at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 84 years of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Soule Chapel United Methodist Church. He was a Retired Veteran, having served in the United States Army, he earned an associate degree in criminal justice, he was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed woodworking and nascar.
Survivors include his wife: Brenda Lewis Blevins of Campbellsville; a daughter: Karen Sue Blevins of Amarillo, Texas; a step-son: Eric Conley of Big Ben, Washington; a sister: Joyce Salmon of Campbellsville and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Blevins was also preceded in death by a brother: James Lee Blevins.

The funeral service for Mr. Billy Frank Blevins will be conducted Monday, October 12, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with Bro. Don Watson and Bro. John Loy officiating.
Entombment in the Brookside Cemetery Mausoleum with full Military Honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

Edwards PicMr. Lucas McCain “Duke” Edwards was born on June 10, 1962 in Louisville, and departed this life on October 7, 2015 at his home in Campbellsville. He was 53 years, 3 months, and 27 days of age. Mr. Edwards was a former mechanic. As often as his health would allow, he loved to hunt and fish, but his passion was in “scrapping” and recycling. He was a former attendee of the Grace Missionary Baptist Church.

He leaves to mourn his passing:

Four children: Vanessa Napier of Lexington, and Carrie Edwards, Amy Crews and husband Richie, and Cameron Edwards, all of Campbellsville,
Four siblings: Roseanne Clark and husband Ronnie of Campbellsville, Lowell Edwards and fiance Lequita Lynch, also of Campbellsville, Raymond O’Rafferty of Louisville, and Virginia Marin and husband Javier of Springfield,
Four half siblings: Kenneth Edwards, Billy Gene Edwards, Joyce Edwards, and Dorothy Edwards, all of Leitchfield,
Four step-siblings: Louise Ford and husband Darrell, Debbie Cox and husband Jerry, Sharon Ford and husband Darrell, and Juanita and husband Johnny, all of Campbellsville,
Six grandchildren: Austin, Michael, Aiden, Kadee, Jeslin, and Nathan,
And a host of other extended family and friends.

huntBro. Dan Hunt, Sr. of Oak Grove, formerly of Campbellsville, son of the late Carl Bryson Hunt and Frances Hammond Hunt, was born in Mingo County, West Virginia, October 7, 1947. He died at 5:07 P.M., Tuesday, October 6, 2015 in Nashville. Age: 67
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Faith Family Ministries
He was a passionate servant of the Lord and a church planter. He pastored several churches including three in Taylor County: Beech Grove Baptist Church, Elk Horn Baptist Church and New Covenant Baptist Church.
He served his country honorably in the United States Navy.
He was an Eagle Scout and a 1977 graduate of Campbellsville College.
He united in marriage to Sharon Morrison May 23, 1968. She preceded him in death August 11, 2013.
He is survived by two sons and one daughter: Daniel Stevenson Hunt, Jr. and wife, Alecia of Florence, Joshua Carl Hunt and wife, Stephanie of Louisville and Marci Elizabeth Hunt of Oak Grove; two grandsons: Daniel “Trey” Stevenson Hunt, III and James “Cade” Hunt; one brother and one sister: Paul Hunt and wife, Janette of Flatwoods and Carol Little of Ashland; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Anita Gupton Berry, age 91

Anita Gupton Berry, 91, of Campbellsville died Thursday, October 8, 2015 at The Grandview where she had lived since returning to Campbellsville.

She was born Anita Maureen Gupton on February 11, 1924 to the late Everett E. and Mossie Taylor Gupton in Green County.  She united in marriage to Isaac Vernon Berry on June 21, 1952.  Vernon preceded her in death on October 30, 1986.  Also preceding her in death were her siblings, Roy Gupton, Ralph Edgar Gupton and Zola Williams and a son-in-law, James E. Henn.

Anita and Vernon raised their family in Lebanon, KY before moving to Campbellsville in 1974.  There they joined Campbellsville Baptist Church before moving their membership to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she was still a member.  In Lebanon, she operated a daycare center in her home for several years prior to working in various office settings in Lebanon and Campbellsville.  After Vernon’s death she enjoyed organizing charter bus trips and day trips for the seniors’ group at church.  She stayed busy with various needlework projects for the kids and grandkids and selling Avon.

Anita was Mom to, Georgietta Johnson and her husband, Hayden of Lebanon, Daryl Berry and his wife, Sharon, of Campbellsville, Rodney Berry of Morganfield, KY and Priscilla Berry of Alexandria, Virginia. She was “Granny” to Sharyl (Michael) Burns, Stacey (Kent) Ashley, Rachel Henn, Daniel Johnson, Devin Johnson, DeLanna (Ryne) Williams and Mackensie Henn and her five great-grandchildren, DeAnna, Blake, Bailiegh and Gavyn Burns and Kathryn Ashley, sister to Sharon (Bobby) Watson of Greensburg, sister-in-law to Jerry Williams and  Norma Jean (Donald) Swafford of Campbellsville.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with Dr. James Jones and Bro. Robert Martin officiating.  Burial will follow in the Greensburg Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Saturday at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home in Campbellsville.

Serving as pallbearers are Daniel Johnson, Devin Johnson, Michael and Blake Burns, Kent Ashley and Ryne Williams.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Building Fund at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church which can be made at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

Lee Pogue, 92

thMr. Lee Pogue of Campbellsville was born on October 11, 1922 into the marriage of William A. and Ellen Mae (Frogg) Pogue in Monticello, KY. He departed this life on October 6, 2015 at the Golden Living Center in Greensburg. He was 92 years, 11 months, and 25 days of age.
On August 8, 1942, he married Rose Marie Light, who survives.
As a young man, Mr. Pogue answered the call to duty and joined the United States Army. He served his country honorably during the second World War. He was a natural storyteller; it was a favorite pastime of his to regal his grandchildren (or anyone else) with tales of his world travels.
Mr. Pogue was a field worker for Dean Foods for 30 years before his retirement. He was baptized in 2006 and joined the Shepherd’s Chapel Church of God in Arkansas.

Mr. Pogue leaves to cherish his memory:
His wife of 73 years: Rose Marie Pogue,
Three children: Jimmy Edwin Pogue and wife Joyce of Campbellsville, Lana Faye McDonald of Mt. Washington, and Valinda Jane Coomer and husband Wayne of Campbellsville,
Three sisters: Jeanette Mulliken of Wayland, Michigan, Shirley McGlasson of Springfield, Illinois, and Katheryn Berauer of Mesa, Arizona,
One brother: Bill Pogue and wife Anita of Indiana,
Eleven grandchildren,

She was a retired schoolteacher at Taylor County Elementary School.
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church.
She united in marriage to Terry White May 19, 1979.

Anthony White and Ashley Judd and husband, J. P. her mother, Joyce Goff, all of Campbellsville, and many other relatives and friends.

Matt Clark of Campbellsville, son of John Clark and Tracy Richardson Clark, was born in Marion County, Kentucky, May 11, 1998. He died at 10:11 P.M., Friday, October 2, 2015, in Campbellsville as the result of a motor vehicle accident. Age: 17
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Matt was a senior at Taylor County High School and set to graduate in 2016. He was an employee of Dairy Queen in Campbellsville.
Matt was a fun loving young man who loved the outdoors, hunting, riding his dirt bike and spending time with family and friends.
Besides his parents, John and Tracy Clark, he is survived by one brother, Luke Clark; paternal grandparents, Barbara and Dick Clark; maternal grandparents, Maurice and Kathy Richardson; maternal great-grandparents, Ruth Richardson and Odell and Charlotte Callahan; an uncle and aunt, Aaron and Mary Russell Clark all of Campbellsville, as well as many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his great grandparents: Mildred and Bob Clark, Arvel and Christine Cox and L.C. Richardson.

Paul Zulager

Paul L. Zulager, age 63, of Milton, Florida, formerly of California died Friday, October 2, 2015 in Campbellsville, Kentucky while in town for a family visit.

He is survived by his wife, Shannon Bauer Zulager of Milton, Florida; three sons, Brian Zulager, of Campbellsville, Zach Zulager and his wife Christine of Florida and Matthew Zulager of Windsor, KY; grandchildren, McKynsee Gumm, Keegan Zulager, Rylee Zulager, Lexie Pack, Katie Smith, Payton Zulager and Annslie Zulager; three sisters, Linda Borchers and her husband, Chris of Covington, Cindy Bishop of Cincinnati and Jacque Roberts of Florida and a brother, Jerry along with several nieces and nephews.

Paul’s wish was to be cremated.  The family will hold a private celebration of his life at a later date.
