Kenneth Lee Gwinn of Campbellsville, son of the late James Garnett Gwinn and Ruth Smith Gwinn was born October 5, 1943 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 8:00 A.M., Thursday, June 11, 2015 in Campbellsville.
He professed faith in Christ and was of the Pentecostal Faith.
He was a mechanic at Fruit of The Loom for some thirty-seven and one half years, a farmer, a construction worker and delivered newspapers for the Courier Journal for twenty years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, stock car racing, gardening and UK Basketball.
He united in marriage to Judy England January 11, 1964. Besides his wife, Judy Gwinn, he is survived by one son and one daughter: Allan Gwinn and wife Carol and Donna Agee and husband, Tommy of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Scott Gwinn, T.J. Agee and wife, Pam, and Nick Agee of Campbellsville; three great-grandchildren: Jason, Destiny and Cody Agee; one brother, Lewis Gwinn and wife, Leta of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters: James Hollis Gwinn, Carolyn Read and Mary Margaret Shaw.

Carrie Mae Phillips of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Charlie Campbell and Flossie Mae Colvin Campbell was born May 9, 1929 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 10:20 A.M., Wednesday, June 10, 2015 in Greensburg. Age: 86
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she was a faithful member of the Adult Women# 3 Sunday School Class.
She was former Co-owner of Phillips Seed House, a farmer and a bookkeeper.
She united in marriage to Billie Phillips August 22, 1947. He preceded her in death September 27, 2006.
She is survived by four sons and three daughters: Bobby Phillips and wife, Becky, Kenny Phillips and wife Susan, Charles Phillips and wife, Gayle, Richard Phillips and wife, Marnie, Betty Preston and husband, Marvin all of Campbellsville, Barbara Clark and husband, Don of Ninety Six, South Carolina and Jeannie Phillips and Betty Curtis, a very special friend who is like a daughter of Sarasota, Florida; seventeen grandchildren: Christy Parks, Rod Phillips, Robyn P. Sollberger, Rikki Moss, Eric Clark, Adam Clark, Matthew Clark, Caleb Clark, Jeremy Bishop, Karri Cox, Amber Nash, Nicole Driver, Will Phillips, Edlynn Phillips, Lauren Phillips, Hannah Phillips, John Michael Phillips; twenty-four great-grandchildren; one brother and three sisters: C.W. Campbell of Blackshear, Georgia, Nora Susan Jarboe Of Louisville, Lena Harmon and Helen Burris of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister, George Robert Campbell and Louise Roberts.

Mary Ann Roth, 82

Mary RothMrs. Mary Ann Roth, the daughter of the late Taylor and Nancy Ann Shoemake Barnett, was born January 5, 1933 in Breathitt County, KY and departed this life on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 in Campbellsville at her home. She was 82 years of age.
She was a retired employee of General Electric and a homemaker she loved to watch basketball and dress in red to support her favorite coach, Rick Pitino and the Lousiville Cardinals, but also claimed UK as her second favorite. Mrs. Roth was very proud of receiving her GED at age 54.
Survivors include two daughters: Nancy Barnett of Louisville and Rebecca Roth of Campbellsville.
Five grandchildren: Cheri McKenzie of Mt. Washington, Lynn M. Donahey of Alabama, James E. McStoots, Jr of Florence, Ruth M. Holmes of Fern Creek and Mary Katherine Roth of Campbellsville; 11 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Roth was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister: Taylor Barnett, Jr, Gordon V. Barnett, Donald Barnett, Will R. Barnett, John Price and Ramona Duff.

Lyndon Benningfield of Campbellsville, son of the late Malvin Benningfield and Willard Drury Benningfield, was born December 27, 1928, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 8:50 A.M., Wednesday, June 10, 2015 in Campbellsville. Age: 86
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Spurlington United Methodist Church.
He was a retired employee of Carnation Milk Company after twenty-seven years of service, a farmer, welder and furniture maker.
He united in marriage to Naomi Page January 19, 1951.
Besides his wife, Naomi Benningfield of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and one daughter: Roger Benningfield and wife, Patti of Campbellsville and Peggy Slone and husband, Andy of Lexington; one daughter-in-law, Donna Benningfield of Campbellsville; six grandchildren: Jennifer Kaye Benningfield, Ryan Adam Benningfield, Derek Benningfield and wife, Jamie, Lindsey Gordon and husband, Adam, Aaron Slone and wife, Ajjea and Brittany Slone and fiancée, D. J. Lewis; three great-grandchildren: Aesen Gordon, Preston Slone and Kelsea Murphy; two sisters: Janice Thompson of Elk Horn and Doris Jean Newton of Campbellsville; special caregivers: Lillie Benningfield and Delores Newton; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Clara E. Jones, age 99, of Campbellsville died Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Grandview Nursing and Rehab in Campbellsville .

Clara was born October 7, 1915 in Adair County. She is the daughter of the late James B. and Reta Mae (Bryant) Pyles.   She was predeceased by her husbands, Arvil McQueary and Davis H. Jones,  daughters, Edith McQueary and Betty Jones; a son, J.L. Jones; brothers and sisters, Hobert Pyles,  Finis Pyles, Vitus Pyles,  Claris Pyles,  Bonnie Rice, Altha Burton,  Kenneth Pyles, Robert Pyles, Aaron Pyles, Walter Pyles, and James Pyles.

She was employed as a nursing assistant for Metzmeier Nursing Home for ten years and was a member of Campbellsville Church of the Nazarene.

Clara is survived by two daughters; Geraldine Hale and her husband, Clifton of Portland, TN and Sue Bohanon and her husband,  Robert of Campbellsville and two sons: D.R. Jones and his wife, Patricia of Campbellsville and Ben Jones and his wife Zina, of Carlsbad, NM;  a sister, Lyla Pyles of Campbellsville and two brothers, Rollin Pyles of Campbellsville, Howard Pyles of Cincinnati, OH. She also has fourteen grandchildren, twenty-four  great-grandchildren;  26 great-great grandchildren  and three great-great-great grandchildren.

The funeral will be held 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 10 at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home, 503 E. Main St., Campbellsville, KY with Bro. Clifton Hale officiating, and Bro. Dwayne Lobb and Bro. J.T. Jones assisting.  Burial will be in Columbia City Cemetery, Columbia, Ky.

Serving as pallbearers are Steven Hale, Terry Hale, Tony Dixon, Timmy Dixon , David Jones and Todd Jones.

The family request visitation on Tuesday, June 9 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home, 503 E. Main St., Campbellsville, KY.

He was a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.
He united in marriage to Barbara J. Farris August 7, 1954. She preceded him in death March 22, 2009.
He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Susan and Gary Brents of Campbellsville; five grandchildren: Michael Brents and wife Kristen of Crestwood, Holly Brents of Campbellsville, Molly Pepper and husband, Tyler of Bloomington, Indiana, Johnny Hubbard and Billy Hubbard and wife Tandy of Lexington; three great-grandchildren: Alex Brents, Allison Pepper and Taylor Kate (T.K.) Hubbard; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Jerry Ray Kibbons

Jerry Ray Kibbons of Campbellsville, son of the late Goley Carson “GC” Kibbons and Virginia Mae Burton Kibbons, was born July 24, 1930, in Villa Ridge, Missouri. He died at 3:18 P.M., Saturday, June 6, 2015 in Lexington. Age: 84
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Salem Baptist Church where he volunteered
as Minister of Education for several years. He taught a Men’s Sunday School Class as long as his health permitted.
He graduated from Ritenour High School in St. Louis, Missouri. He was licensed to preach the gospel at Villa Ridge, Missouri at age eighteen. He was ordained to the gospel at Galena, Missouri at age twenty. Jerry graduated from Bolivar Baptist College with an Associates degree at Bolivar, Missouri and a Bachelors and Master’s Degree from Central Missouri State College at Springfield, Missouri and a Master’s Degree from Southwest Baptist Seminary at Fort Worth, Texas and a Doctor of Ministries Degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville.
He pastored churches in Missouri and did interim pastoral work and supply preaching in churches in Missouri and Kentucky.
Jerry began teaching in 1964 at Campbellsville College and taught in the Christian Study and History Departments. He developed the In-service Guidance Program and served as director until his retirement in 1992. He served as the Taylor County Baptist Director of Missions for several years.
He served for eleven years on Campbellsville City Council.
He united in marriage to Billie Sue Scott May 5, 1951.
Besides his wife, Billie Sue Kibbons of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and two daughters: Steven Kibbons and wife, Terri of Hartford, Lynn Kibbons and husband, Thomas of Richmond and Kathy Kibbons Brewer and husband, Larry of Sturgis; six grandchildren: Jacob Kibbons and wife, Star, Jasmine Jenkin and husband, Nathan, Kassie Green and husband, Jason, Tadd Brewer and wife, Joanna, Mitchell Collins and Loren Collins; ten great-grandchildren: Sadie Green, Blaklie Green, Grady Brewer, Andrew Hagan, Alex Kibbons, Gavin Vining, Addison Kibbons, Peyton Kibbons, Piper Jenkin and Harper Jenkin and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Edward LeRoy Kibbons and a nephew, Kevin Kibbons.

Mrs. Cheri L. Mullins, age 54, passed away on Thursday in Louisville at the Hospice Care Center.

She was the daughter of Oleeda Thompson Bolton of Louisville and the late: Douglas Wisdom.

Two sons: Jeremy Wisdom and Joseph Mullins both of Louisville; A daughter: Christy Baldrick of Covington.

Her step-children: Gary William of Campbellsville, Danny Hayes and Michael Hayes both of Louisville.

A sister: Connie Blasie of Louisville; a brother: Jimmy Wisdom of Jeffersontown.

Her significant other: Danny Hayes of Ekron, KY; Six grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren.

An uncle: Marcus Wisdom of Greensburg; Aunts: Elizabeth Sullivan and Essie Clark, both of Greensburg, Nina Lobb of Campbellsville, Geraldine Meadows of Clarksville, TN and Yvonne Coffey of Louisville and a host of other relatives and friends.

Besides her father she was preceded in death by a half brother: Eric Wisdom and a step-son: Jeffery Hayes.

The funeral service for Mrs. Cheri L. Mullins, will be Monday at 10:00 A.M. at the Owen Funeral Home on Dixie Hwy in Louisville with interment in the Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville.

Visitation from 3-8 PM on Sunday at the Owen Funeral Home.
