Carlis Davidson of Campbellsville, son of Evelyn Jean Morris Button, was born August 15, 1958 in Jefferson County, Kentucky.  He died at 4:30 A.M., Monday, February 6, 2012 in Campbellsville.   Age: 53

He was employed as a cabinet builder.

He is survived by one son and one daughter:  Jackie Ray Davidson and wife,

Meagan of Campbellsville and April Skaggs and husband, Brandon of Lexington;

One granddaughter, Izabella Davidson of Campbellsville; his mother, Evelyn Jean Button of Campbellsville; one sister and one brother:  Lois Campbell and husband, James of Campbellsville and Russell Martin of Hodgenville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, James Davidson, Jr. and his step-father, Gerald Button.

Douglas “Sonny” Reed of Mannsville, son of the late Kyle Reed and Stella Maryjane Graybeal Reed, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, August 21, 1942.  He died at 1:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 7, 2012 in Mannsville.  Age:  69

He was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

He united in marriage to Patricia Cox September 3, 1964.  She preceded him in death June 28, 2009.

He is survived by two daughters:  Kim Pike of Mannsville and Pam Moore and husband, Richard of Campbellsville; six grandchildren:  John Moore, Kyle Moore and Felicia Whitley and husband, Derrick of Campbellsville, Adam Powell and wife, Tiffany, Cameron Craig and Dakota Craig of Mannsville; four great-grandchildren:  Lane Whitley of Campbellsville, Easton Powell, Keeley Powell and Caley James of Mannsville; one sister:  Linda Callahan and husband, Bradley of Elk Horn; one niece and one nephew: Carolyn Ford of Elk Horn and Bobby Perkins of Greensburg; and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Alberta Perkins.

Eddie Stickel of Campbellsville, son of the late Edward Ray Stickel and Charlene Turner   Stickel, was born April 15, 1969, in Baltimore, Maryland.  He died at 9:12 P.M., Saturday, February 4, 2012 in Columbia.   Age: 42

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

He had worked as a Computer Technician with the Jefferson County Courthouse.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He is survived by one son:  Logan Andrew Stickel of Shepherdsville; mother Charlene

Stickel of Campbellsville; three sisters: Madonna Gaddis Chick and husband, Greg of Campbellsville, Jan Farmer and husband, Frank of Campbellsville, and Marie Brady of Louisville; two nieces and three nephews  Magan Grubbs, Manessa Burriss, Colt Burriss, Daniel Gaddis, and Chad Gaddis; and many other relatives and friends.

Rose Johnson of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Welby Herron and Della McDonald Herron, was born January 31, 1935, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 9:33 A.M., Sunday, February 5, 2012 in Greensburg. Age: 77

She professed faith in Christ and was of Methodist Faith.

She united in marriage to Virgil Johnson. He preceded her in death February 11, 1993.

She is survived by one grandson, Ronnie Allan Goforth of Clarksville, Indiana; one sister, Hallie Childers; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Darlene Samples December 11, 2003; five sisters: Lyn Della Hunt, Mazie Bernice Mickel, Prucille Flowers, Melisa Rayner, and Villa Marie Herron; two brothers, Hubert Murrell Herron, and James Jr. Herron.

RONALD “SHEW” BOTTOMS

Ronald Bottoms of Campbellsville, son of the late Lacy Bottoms and Floy Spurling Bottoms, was born October 7, 1941, in Taylor County, Kentucky.  He died at 9:32 A.M., Saturday, February 4, 2012 in Campbellsville.   Age:  70

He was a farmer for many years.

He united in marriage to Lois Smith on February 2, 1959 she preceded him in death on August 27, 1999.

He is survived by one daughter, Becky Corona of Taylorsville; two granddaughters; Cassondra Peyton and Rosa Corona both of Taylorsville, one sister; Wanda Ford of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by a brother: Jim Bottoms.

Albert Lynwood “Sonny” Cave

Albert Lynwood “Sonny” Cave of Campbellsville, son of the late William F. “Bill” Cave and Sylvia Overton Cave, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, December 23, 1937. He died at 10:35 P.M., Friday, February 3, 2012 in Campbellsville.

Age:  74

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and on the Building Committee of the Family Life Center.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He was owner and operator of Sonny Cave Backhoe Service and a farmer for many years.

He was a former Taylor County Sheriff and magistrate.

He united in marriage to Lula Mae Phillips August 19, 1956.

Besides his wife, Lula Mae Cave, he is survived by two sons and their wives: Stan and Carol Cave of Nicholasville and Phillip and Krista Cave of Lexington; five grandchildren: Callen Marie Cave, Meredith Leigh Cave, Luke Weston Cave, Anna Noelle Cave, and Joshua Bennett Cave; one sister, Vicki Mullins of Campbellsville; one brother-in-law, Billy Ray Philpott of Campbellsville; several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Gail Philpott December 20, 2011.

Estelle Marie Woodrum, age 62, of Spurling Road, Elkhorn, died Monday, January 23, 2012, at her residence after an illness.
She was the daughter of the late Harlie Atwood and Arlie Mings Atwood of Taylor County and a member of the Bowan Street Separate Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Woodrum, one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Marsha Woodrum of Spurlington, three daughters and spouses, Deronda and Jimmy Calhoun, Tina Cox and a special friend John Cave all of Elkhorn and Stephanie and Jason Pittman of Marion County. Eight grandchildren also survive along with three brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Georgia Atwood of Knifley, Larry and Stacy Atwood and Robert and Connie Atwood all of Campbellsville, two half-brothers and one half sister and spouses, Jimmy and Wanda Wright of Mt. Washington, Howard and Peggy Wright of Missouri, and Helen Beatrice and Bill Addison of Elkton, Kentucky.
Funeral services for Mrs. Estelle Marie Woodrum were held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at the Lyon-Dewitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Callahan Cemetery.
Brother Danny Nelson officiated.

He professed faith in Christ and attended Beech Grove Baptist Church.

He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

He united in marriage to Nona Warren  August 2, 1968.

Besides his wife, Nona Parrish, he is survived by one son and one daughter:  Chris Parrish and wife, Regina and Leanne Parrish of Campbellsville; three grandchildren:  Matthew Parrish, Megan Parrish and Whitney Houchens of Campbellsville; his mother, Margaret Parrish of Campbellsville; one sister, Patricia Wilson and husband, Troy of Campbellsville; his mother-in-law, June Warren Sluder and husband, Bill of Campbellsville; one niece, Deanna Gupton and husband, Todd of Campbellsville; one nephew, Kevin Wilson and wife, Tammy of Campbellsville; and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, W. C. Warren October 4, 2000.

Allene Cundiff of Mt. Sterling, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Ira Chelf and Bette Knifley Chelf, was born April 25, 1923, in Adair County, Kentucky.  She died at 10:10 P.M., Saturday, January 28, 2012 in Mt. Sterling.   Age: 88

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Christian Church.

She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She is survived by two daughters:  Alla Rae Janes and husband, R.T. of Campbellsville and Vernice Taylor of Mt. Sterling; eight grandchildren:  Wendy Sabo and husband, John of Campbellsville, Robin Brown and husband, Steven of Atlanta, Tammy Haydon and husband, Robert of Mt. Sterling, Debbie Ledford and husband, Eric of Mt. Sterling, John Taylor and wife, Donna of Mt. Sterling, Tommy Taylor and Candace Francis of Mt. Sterling, Craig Janes of Dallas, and Steven  Janes and wife, Carrie of Jamestown; thirteen great-grandchildren; one sister: Bette Jean Benningfield and husband, Algusta of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
