Willard Brown, of Campbellsville, son of the late George Brown and Pearl Stanton Brown was born December 19, 1934 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 8:31 A.M., Saturday, June 4, 2011 in Campbellsville. Age: 76

He professed faith in Christ and attended New Life Christian Church.

He was a retired logger and trucking.

He united in marriage to Edith Sams June 1, 1978. Besides his wife, Edith Brown of Campbellsville he is survived by two daughters and one son: Kathy Wiser and husband Ray of Bradfordsville, Donna Lile and husband Ricky of Campbellsville and George Brown of Edmonton; three grandchildren: Jennifer Browning and Brandy Shively of Lebanon and Brent Lile of Campbellsville; two great-grandsons, Clay Rodgers and Landon Browning; one sister, Frances Dudgeon of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Tammy Wiser in 1992, and one brother, Thomas Brown in 1981.

Eva Allen of Raywick, daughter of the late Turner Skaggs and Rosettie Warren Skaggs was born August 30, 1927 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died Friday, June 3, 2011 in Lebanon.           Age: 83

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Washington Baptist Church.

She united in marriage to J.C. Allen who preceded her in death March 12, 1989.

She is survived by one daughter and two sons: Judy Huber and husband Finis of Mt. Washington, Nicky Allen and wife Loretta and Don Allen of Raywick; nine grandchildren: Kim Wheeler, Jennifer Dooley, Dana Chissom, Johnny Allen, Kathy Smith, Michael Allen, Todd Allen, Jamie Knopp and John Knopp; fifteen great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister, Otis Skaggs of Earlville, Illinois and Estleen Wright of Greensburg and nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by one son and one daughter, Gary Allen and Pat Knopp and five brothers and two sisters: Robert Skaggs, Leslie Skaggs, Bill Skaggs, Floyd Skaggs, Walter Ray Skaggs, Marie Thompson and Alice Sprowles.

Geary E. Newcomb of Campbellsville, son of the late Robert Newcomb and Irene Rafferty Newcomb, was born in Marion County, Kentucky, April 18, 1932.  He died at 5:30 A.M., Friday, June 3, 2011, in Campbellsville.        Age:    79

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Green River Memorial Baptist  Church.

He was a retired elevator mechanic with Powers Elevator Company in Lexington.

He was a member of the Pitman Masonic Lodge #124 F & AM.

He united in marriage to Lottie Akridge December 24, 1954.

Beside his wife, Lottie Newcomb, he is survived by six half-brothers and two half-sisters:  Robert Eugene Newcomb, Kathleen Raffety, Sue Yates and Jerry Newcomb of Campbellsville, Johnnie Newcomb, L. C. Newcomb and Billy Newcomb of Louisville and Jim Newcomb of Texas; aunt, Nettie Newton of Louisville; special cousin, Sue Amick of Scottsburg, Indiana; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Dorothy Claycomb

Dorothy Claycomb of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Roy Walter Sexton and Pearl Elizabeth Dixon Sexton, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, July 21, 1925.  She died at 2:26 P.M., Tuesday, May 31, 2011 in Campbellsville.  Age:  85

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

She worked in several factories in 1943 to promote the war efforts while waiting on her husband, Conrad, to return home from World War II. 

She worked at Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville for over twenty-six years until she retired in 1988. 

She was also a homemaker, a loving wife and mother.

She united in marriage to William Conrad Claycomb September 17, 1943.  

Besides her husband, William Conrad Claycomb, she is survived by three sons and one daughter:  Billy Claycomb and wife, Debbie of Campbellsville, Connie Jo Wright and husband, Bill of Greensburg; Thomas A. Claycomb and wife, Darlene and Jackie Claycomb and wife, Ruth of Harrodsburg; four grandsons:  Ricky Claycomb and wife, Lisa of Campbellsville, Troy Wright and wife, Elizabeth of Greensburg, Scott Claycomb and wife, Heather of Lexington and Jeff Claycomb and wife, Crimson of Harrodsburg; four great-granddaughters; five sisters:  Wilma Jean Farmer and husband, Gerald, Sue Burriss and husband, Jackie L., Jewell Beard and Kaye Harrison of Campbellsville, Linda O. Castillo and husband, Pepi of Birmingham, Alabama; one sister-in-law, Faye Sexton of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Dianne Claycomb in infancy and two brothers and two sisters:  Roy O. “Tom” Sexton, Billy Frank Sexton, Deloris Graham and Geneva Mattingly.

He attended Campbellsville College and graduated from Western Kentucky University.

He was the current owner and operator of Scott’s Ladies Apparel having worked in the store for some 58 years.

He united in marriage to Janet Nelson September 22, 1969.

He was of the Methodist faith.

He served his country honorably in the United States Navy, having retired as a Boiler Technician First Class with the Navy.

He is survived by one sister, Mitchelyn Parson Squires and husband, Floyd of Campbellsville; three nieces and one nephew:  Diane Squires Bruner and husband, Ross of Scottsdale, Arizona, Tammy Squires and husband, Jeff Derringer of Cary, North Carolina, Toni Parson and Terry Parson of Chicago, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister, Roy L. Parson, Junior Parson and Thomazine Bensheimer.

He was a retired Navy Chief in Aviation Electronics and was a veteran of World War II and Vietnam, having served his country honorably in the United States Navy.

He united in marriage to Nellie Anne Reid October 5, 1954.  She preceded him in death May 17, 1987.

He united in marriage to Kathryn Hill Gilpin September 15, 1990.  She preceded him in death January 7, 2011.

Arthur Cone of Campbellsville, son of the late Robert Allen Cone and Louise  Wheeler Williams Cone, was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota August 31, 1920. 

He died at 6:12 A.M., Tuesday, May 24, 2011, in Campbellsville.   Age:  90

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethel First Presbyterian Church.

He was employed as a grain buyer for Archer Daniels Midland for approximately thirty-four years.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army Air Corps and was a veteran of World War II.

He united in marriage to Susan Eichhorn June 11, 1944.  She preceded him in death February 10, 2009.

He is survived by one daughter and one son:  Melissa Dunn and husband, Kevin of Campbellsville and Jeremy Cone and wife, Beth of Excelsior, Minnesota; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers:  Robert Cone and Thomas Cone.

Mary Rochelle Druen, age 75 of Walling Street, Campbellsville, died Sunday May 22, 2011 at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late Perry and Pauline McClain Ragland.  She was also preceded in death by her brother
Darrell Ragland.

She is survived by two daughters & sons-in-law, Darlene and Larry Loy  and Lynn and Homer Hibbard all of
Campbellsville, eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, one sister, Janice Ragland of Lagrange.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Friday, May 27, 2011 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

He was employed as a truck driver.

He united in marriage to Karen Feller. 

Besides his wife, Karen Donham of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son, Perry Donham and wife, Colleen of North Attleboro, Massachusetts; one granddaughter, Jennifer Donham of New Hampshire; two step-granddaughters:  Stephanie Worobey and Samantha Worobey of New Hampshire; two brothers and five sisters:  George Donham, Willard Donham, Kathryn McCallister, Nancy Donham, Joy Schultz, Carla Clifton and Brenda Donham; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
