William Bennie Sherrill, age 66, Campbellsville died Sunday, August 26, 2012 at his residence after an illness.
He is survived by his daughter Libby Renae Sherrill and her mother Ilena Sherrill of Knoxville, TN and daughter Sherry Lynn Hoskins of Green County ,one brother Cebert Sherrill and wife Alice of Knifley and two sisters Wanda Spires and husband Donnie of Campbellsville and Sue Giles of Knifley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11AM, Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Dunbar Hill Cemetery.

Marvin Z Stauffer, age 84, died Thursday, August 23, at his residents, Elkhorn, KY.
He was the son of the late Barbara Zimmerman and Ammon Stauffer; he was also preceded in death by two brothers Monroe and Paul Stauffer, and two sisters Elizabeth Brubacher, Katherine Martin.
Mr. Stauffer was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, his days were spent farming and making furniture. He was a member of Mennonite Church.
He is survived by his wife Elsie Stauffer, two sons Wayne Stauffer and Donald Stauffer, nine daughters Katherine Showalter, Barbara Martin, Sylvia Thompson, Ruby Brubacher, Debbie Martin, Rose Wanner, Gwyn Auker, Wendy Horst, and Charlotte Norris, eighty-four grandchildren, sixty great grandchildren, two brother David and Ammon Stauffer, three sisters Amelia Wenger, Barbara Zimmerman and Mable Stauffer.
Funeral Services were conducted at 9:00AM, Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Stauffer Family Residents, burial at Stauffer Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Mary Lucille Shive, age 80, of Campbellsville, died Tuesday, August 21st at University of Louisville Hospital, after an illness
She is survived by two daughters and son-in-laws, Sharon Dulworth and husband Jeff Young of Greensburg and Janet and husband Ronnie Hare of Campbellsville. Two grandchildren Kasey Spurling and Brent Hare and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11AM, Friday, August 24, at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Green River Memorial Cemetery.

Kathleen Davis of Elkhorn, daughter of the late Phillip Kinch Jones and Lula Mae Knifley Jones was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, August 15, 1928. She died at 6:10 P.M., Saturday, August 18, 2012, in Campbellsville. Age: 84
She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Knifley Christian Church.
She was a retired employee of Taylor Regional Hospital and a former employee of the Taylor County School System.
She united in marriage to Wayne Davis June 14, 1951. He preceded her in death May 18, 1997.
She is survived by one daughter and three sons: Charlotte Hovious and husband, Roger, Jerry Wayne Davis and wife, Debbie, and Johnny Davis of Elkhorn and Danny Grant and wife, Julia of Charleston, South Carolina; one granddaughter and two grandsons: Monica Hovious Houghlin and husband, Billy of Knifley, Joseph Davis and Aubrey Skutt of Columbia, and Chris Davis and wife, Leslie of Campbellsville; three great-grandchildren: Parker Kate Davis, Pace McCall Davis, and Paxton Bentley Davis; and several other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: John Jones and Earl K. Jones and an infant sister.

Cora Lee Kidd of Lexington, formerly of Taylor County, daughter of the late Virgil and Edna Pelston, died Thursday, August 16, 2012, in Lexington. Age: 70
She is survived by husband, Ralph Kidd; six daughters and one son: Bonnie Tuttle and Venida (Sonie) Jackson of Rowlett, Texas, Sherry (John) Barnett and Teresa (Tracy) Barnett of Mt. Sterling, Holly Kidd and Amanda (Rudy) Crowe of Lexington, and Charles (Kathy) Pelston of Radcliff; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-two graet-grandchildren; four brothers and five sisters; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Robert W. Kirtley, of Montgomery, Illinois, formerly of Campbellsville, son of the late Thornton B. Kirtley and Nannie Lee Shofner Kirtley, died Wednesday, August 15, 2012, in Montgomery. Age: 84
He was a proud veteran of Korean Conflict, having served his country honorably in the United States Army and U. S. Air Force and receiving the Purple Heart.
He was employed with the Tim-Mee Toy Company in Montgomery, Illinois for over forty years.
He loved golf and was a big Chicago Cubs fan.
He united in marriage to Mildred Skaggs in 1967.
Besides his wife, Mildred Skaggs Kirtley, he is survived by two daughters and one son: Donna Hailey, Sue Owens and husband, Dan and Steven Kirtley; nine grandchildren: Rickey, Christopher, Michael, Kristin, Heather, Danny, Chloe, Alex and Ben; one brother, Walter Kirtley; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Kirtley of
Campbellsville; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rev. Otis C. and Shirley Skaggs of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by two granddaughters: Olivia and Brianna; two brothers: Richard Kirtley and William “Skinny” Kirtley and two half-brothers: Homer R. Kirtley and Harold Kirtley.

Robert M. “Bob” Lentz of Campbellsville, son of the late Otto William Lentz and Minnie Madeline Lotz Lentz, was born in Jefferson County, Kentucky, July 10, 1919. He died at 6:00 A.M., Thursday, August 16, 2012 in Campbellsville. Age: 93
He attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served his country honorably in the United States Army and attaining the rank of Technical Sergeant. He served in Normandy, Northern France and Rhineland and was awarded the European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with three Bronze Stars with Bronze Arrowhead, American Theater Ribbon, American Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and World War II Victory Medal.
He was an employee of Fishers Packing Company and owned and operated Lyndon Food Mart.
He united in marriage to Dorothy Rothenberger, who preceded him in death in 1991.
He united in marriage to Jeanne Shepherd June 20, 1992.
Besides his wife, Jeanne Lentz, he is survived by two daughters: Leetta Dial and husband, Billy and Teena Allen and husband, Mark of Campbellsville; eight grandchildren: Hannah Allen, Emily Allen, Joshua Allen, Chelsea Gray, Nicholas Gray, Cameron Dial, Logan Dial and Madison Dial; two great-granddaughters: Maylee Wilds and Aubrey Dial; one brother and three sisters: James B. “Jim” Lentz and Mary Catherine Hurst of Louisville, Mary Agnes Bodenbender of Nashville, Tennessee and Joan H. Tunstill of San Jose, California;
several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Joseph Paul Lentz and William H. Lentz.

Lucille Risen of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Aylette Cowherd and Georgia Campbell Cowherd, was born November 16, 1928 in Taylor County, Kentucky.
She died at 1:45 A.M., Monday, August 13, 2012 in Campbellsville. Age: 83
She professed faith in Christ was a member of Early’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
She was a retired employee of Taylor County Elementary School Lunchroom.
She united in marriage to Clay Risen September 13, 1944. He preceded her in death November 16, 2005.
