Cleo Shofner of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Charlie Thomas Morris and Lydia Goldie Vance Morris, was born October 19, 1917, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 11:02 P.M., Tuesday, February 2, 2010 in Campbellsville. Age: 92
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church.
She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She united in marriage to Sam ldquo;Jackrdquo; Shofner December 15, 1934. He preceded her in death December 25, 1980.
She is survived by a sister, Geneva Sidebottom of Campbellsville; brother-in-law, James N. Shofner and wife, Juanita of Campbellsville; sister-in-law, Geneva Shofner of Campbellsville; caregivers, Elbert amp; Louise Shofner; three nieces:
Kathy Bell, Peggy Humphress and Monta Rae Eastham; two nephews: Johnny Sidebottom and Jimmy Sidebottom; and several other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother: Marie Chewning February 7, 2008 and Joe Thomas Morris February 9, 2003.

James I. Davis of Campbellsville, son of the late John Rex Davis and Vertie
Mae Walters Davis, was born June 24, 1927, in Jamestown, Kentucky. He died on Thursday, January 28, 2010 in Campbellsville. Age: 82
He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahrsquo;s Witness.
He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Army.
He united in marriage to Norma Jean Kashman March 5, 1945. She preceded him in death December 6, 2001.
He is survived by two daughters: Sharon Wooldridge and husband, David of Lexington, South Carolina and Cheryl Blount and husband, William of Campbellsville; seven grandchildren: Michelle Brimmer, Stefanie Johnson, Amanda Parkerson, Zachary Craig, Billi Jo Wooldridge, Chelsea Davis, and Caleb Davis; three great-grandchildren: Corey Brimmer, Hayden Johnson and Gage Craig; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by three sons and two daughters: James I. Davis, Jr., Johnny Davis, Shirley Davis, Shari Craig, and Jeffery Davis; and a sister, Doris Jean Pike.

James Emmanuel Abell, 88, of Knifley Road, Columbia, died Tuesday, January 26, 2010.
He was the son of the late Joseph Clarence and Mary Elizabeth Abell. He was also preceded in death by his brother Robert Marshall Abell, and two grandchildren James Marshall Abell and Mary Catherine Rose. He was a retired farmer and USPS Rural Letter Carrier for 31 years and a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Bessie Abell, ten children and spouses, James Roger and Wanda Abell of Columbia, Jessie Garland and Linda Abell of Campbellsville, David Joseph and Angie Abell of Knifley, Stanley Eugene Abell and companion Danna Simpson, of Liberty, Robert Emmanuel and Kay Abell of Liberty, Paul Wimsatt and Cathy Abell of Bowling Green, Mary Diann and David Conquest of New York, Janis Louise Turner of Campbellsville, Abbie Catherine and Donald Eugene Rose of Colorado, and Sallie Marie and Freddie Marples of Knifley, thirty one grandchildren, thirty six great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren, two brothers, Allen Thomas Abell and Joseph Clarence Abell, Jr., both of Ohio, two sisters, Alene Wolford of Mt. Washington and Elizabeth Jane Strohmeier of Louisville.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11AM, Saturday, January 30, 2010, at the St Bernards Catholic Church in Clementsville with burial in the church cemetery.

Gwinn DeSpain of Campbellsville, son of the late Roy E. DeSpain and Mauda Underwood DeSpain, was born July 9, 1954, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died on Friday, January 22, 2010 in Antioch, Tennessee. Age: 55
He was a pipefitter and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by a brother, Tony DeSpain and his wife Brenda; one niece, JoAnna Richards; one nephew, Brandon DeSpain; two great-nieces: BreAnna Combs and Brandi Richards; and three great-nephews Michael Richards, Dalton DeSpain, and Landon DeSpain all of Campbellsville; special friend, Lisa Michon, of Nashville, and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Vaughn DeSpain

David Malcom Eastridge, 78, of Casey Creek, died Friday, January 22, 2010 after an illness.
He was the son of the late Millard and Dora Barr Eastridge. He was also preceded in death by his sisters and brothers, Edna Christie, Bonnie Thompson, Rosa Robinson, Jewell Humphress, Christine Gabehart, Irene Gabehart, Edith Carooll, Gustine Smith, Pernie Carroll, Coy Eastridge, Bradley Eastridge and Arthur Eastridge.
He was a member of the Farmers Chapel Church of God, retired employee of Fruit of the Loom and a farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Allene Carroll Eastridge of Casey Creek, four children and their spouses, Mike Phyllis Eastridge of Bowling Green, David Deronda Eastridge of Campbellsville, Linda Beal of Casey Creek, Brenda Tom Hutchison of Louisville, six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, four step greatgrandchildren, one brother, Jack Eastridge of Elkhorn.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2PM, Sunday at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Eastridge Cemetery.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Army.
He was a retired farmer, welder, electrician and plumber.
He united in marriage to Corene Gore April 9, 1946. She preceded him in death August 12, 2002.
He is survived by one son and one daughter: Marilyn Neumann and husband, Brian of Campbellsville and Larry Henderson and wife, Cheryl of Delray Beach, Florida; three grandchildren: Patrick Neumann of Campbellsville, Carla Townsend and Darren Henderson of Lexington; one great-grandson, Alex Townsend; three cousins: David Henderson, Sr. and Donald Henderson of Campbellsville and Lloyd Henderson, Jr. of Elizabethtown; and several other relatives and friends.

He was a former used car salesman, farmer, owner and operator of a bus route and was retired from Lake Cumberland Community Services Organization.
He united in marriage to Barbara Jean Wayne May 6, 1948. She preceded him in death November 3, 2002.
He is survived by two sons: Wayne Johnson and Gary Johnson and wife, Judy; two grandchildren: Jeremy Johnson and Josh Johnson and wife, Chasity; two great-grandchildren: Ashton Johnson and Jacob Johnson; two step-great-grandchildren: Shelby Martin and Tanner Martin; one sister and one brother: Stella Morrison and Richard Johnson; all of Campbellsville; and many other relatives and friends.
