Willard J. Watson, age 79, of Stoner Creek Road, Elkhorn, died Saturday, February 7, 2009, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington after an illness. He was the son of the late Gene and Linnie Bottoms Watson. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Collins, one brother Bill Watson and one sister, Madeline Cheek. He was retired from the Railroad. He is survived by his wife, Lona Watson, four sons, six daughters and their spouses, Terry and Patricia Watson of Glasgow, Billy Watson of Indiana, Mark Watson of Saloma, Larry Watson of Arizona, Sonya and Chester Wittington and Felicia and Keith Greer all of Roley, Althea and Steve Hughes of Florida, Kathy and Joe Turner of Greensburg, and Patsy Watson of Danville and four step-children, Connie Logan, Cindy Terry, Jimmy McGinley and Jeff McGinley all of Indiana. Thirty two grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren also survive along with three sisters, Norma Collins, Stella Tucker and Joyce Morris all of Columbia. Funeral services for Mr. Willard J. Watson will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Robinson Chapel Cemetery with full military honors by the Marion County DAV. Bro. Billy Ray Spratt of Campbellsville, son of the late Henry C. and Fannie Druin Spratt, was born June 21, 1936 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 6:42 A.M., Saturday, February 7, 2009 in Campbellsville. Age: 72 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was a construction materials salesman for many years. He united in marriage to Becky Thompson May 15, 1964. He is survived by his wife Becky Spratt, and a daughter, Dawn Spratt of Campbellsville; a sister, Mary Sue Jarboe and her husband David of Campbellsville; and many other relatives and friends. Edna Parrott of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Earlie Blakeman Sr. and Alma Coffey Blakeman, was born March 3, 1919 in Green County, Kentucky. She died at 9:25 P.M., Saturday, January 31, 2009 in LaGrange, Kentucky. Age: 89 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church. She was a former sales lady and employee of Fruit of the Loom. She united in marriage to Lloyd C. Parrott October 7, 1935. He preceded her in death July 1, 1997. Bobby Joe Newcomb, age 71, of Lake Forest Drive, Campbellsville, died Saturday at the Taylor Regional Hospital after an illness. He was the son of the late Joseph Oliver and Emma Ford Newcomb. He was also preceded in death by his son Edward Dale Newcomb in 1989, also one brother Grover Newcomb. He was a real estate agent, builder, appraiser and worked for Cox Interior. He is survived by his wife, Audrey Newcomb, one son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Cindy Newcomb of Southwick, Massachusetts and two grandchildren, Audrey Jo and Carlie Beth Newcomb. He is also survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Barbara Newcomb of Campbellsville, one sister, Nadine Rainwater of Campbellsville and one sister-in-law, Iva Newcomb of Lebanon.
