Ray Bowles Sr. of Old Spurlington Road, Campbellsville, son of Hayden A. Bowles Sr. and Alma Phillips Bowles was born in Taylor County, Kentucky August 8, 1922. He died at 10:48 P.M., Wednesday, March 9, 2005 in Louisville. Age: 82 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Spurlington United Methodist Church. He retired from the United States Postal Service after some thirty-six years of service. After his retirement he owned and operated Bowles Upholstery and Refinishing. He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was a recipient of the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and World War II Victory Medal.He was a member of the Pitman Masonic Lodge #124 F. A.M.He united in marriage to Helen Wagoner August 19, 1950. She preceded him in death November 10, 2000. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Chip and Linda Bowles; one grandson, Charles Ray Bowles of Louisville; many other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by three brothers: Virgil Bowles, Floe Bowles and Hayden Bowles Jr. FUNERAL SERVICES: 2:00 P.M. Martin Gribbins of Primrose Lane, Campbellsville, son of Leoda Garrett Gribbins and the late Arvin Gribbins was born July 23, 1946, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 2:12 P.M., Friday, March 11, 2005, in Campbellsville. Age: 58 He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving his country honorably in the United States Army. Florence Richerson of Pitman Avenue, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Hubert Sapp and Lillie Hardesty Sapp was born May 30, 1920 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 7:38 P.M., Tuesday, March 15, 2005 in Campbellsville. Age: 84 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church. She united in marriage to Lee Richerson December 26, 1940. He preceded her in death December 24, 1996. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Sam and Terri Richerson of Campbellsville and Jimmy and Therese Richerson of Frankfort; five grandchildren: Kristi Lee Richerson, Jamie Richerson, Tiffany Nicole Richerson, Kevin Richerson and David Lee Richerson; two great-granddaughters: Madison Richerson and Kailee Richerson all of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends.
