Claude Ray Sublett, of Dawn Drive, Louisville, Kentucky, formerly of Taylor County, son of the late Jessie H. Sublett and Minta Thomas Sublett was born in Taylor County, Kentucky October 19, 1923. He died at 2:20 P.M., Saturday, November 8, 2003 in Louisville. Age: 80He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of World War II having served his country in the United States Army. He was a retired tool and die maker for Celanese Piping Company and a gunsmith. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the National Rifle Association.He united in marriage to Minnie Frances Holtzclaw January 9, 1955.Besides his wife, Minnie Sublett of Dawn Drive, Louisville, he is survived by one son and four daughters: Ted Sublett of Louisville, Faith Lee and husband John of Elizabethtown, Tessa Pickett of Campbellsville, Tammy Masterson of Beford, Kentucky and Treva Whitehead and husband Dale of Louisville; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one brother and one sister: Richard Sublett of Campbellsville and Helen Brady and husband Ed of Louisville; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters: Clayton Sublett, Lee Wilcoxen and Marie Wright; one grandson, Weldon Pickett.
