#65279;Howard Montgomery Feese 79Mr. Howard Montgomery Feese, age 79 of Taylor Avenue, Campbellsville died Wednesday October 8, 2003 at the Taylor Regional Hospital after an illness.He was the son of Wiley and Ethel Monroe Feese of Adair County. He was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church and he served his country in the Navy during WWII aboard the U.S.S. Venus in the South Pacific. He was employed by the Carnation Milk Company in Campbellsville for nineteen years and he served as business agent for the Teamsters Local #783 from 1967-1980.He also was preced in death by his twin brother Harold Feese.Mr. Howard Feese is survived by his wife Opal Feese, two sons and one daughter, Mitchel and Michael Feese, Teresa Wheatley all of Campbellsville, seven grandchildren, five great- grandchildren, one sister Evelyn Cheatham of Campbellsville also survives along with other relatives and a host of friends.Funeral services for Mr. Howard Montgomery Feese were conducted at 11:00 A.M. FridayOctober 10, 2003 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Chapel with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.Brother James Jones and Brother J. Chester Badgett officiated.

Vera Blevins of Bowling Green, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Edward Y. Shearer and Lorcy Blakey Shearer was born in Russell County, Kentucky, June 26, 1912. She died at 7:34 P.M., Sunday, October 5, 2003, in Woodburn, Kentucky. Age: 91 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Lindsey Wilson College and taught school a few years before devoting her full time to being a mother and housewife. She united in marriage to Thomas Blevins January 26, 1937. He preceded her in death March 16, 2000. She is survived by two sons and their wives: Dr. T. J. and Georgia Blevins of Bowling Green and Dr. Ronald and Diana Blevins of Santa Rosa, California; five grandchildren: Jill Hanes, Chris Blevins, and Mia Morris of Bowling Green and Andrew Blevins and Anna Blevins of Santa Rosa, California; six great-grandchildren: Josh Hanes, Caleb Hanes, Rachel Blevins, Meritt Blevins, McKenzie Morris, and Max Morris of Bowling Green; several other relatives and friends. George Dennis Carter of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, son of the late Raymond Carter and Myra H. Clark, was born July 11, 1945 in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He died Friday, September 26, 2003 in Hammond, Louisiana. Age: 58 He professed faith in Christ and was a member and Elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Ponchatoula, Louisiana. He was a Real Estate Agent for many years. He united in marriage to Abby Hall Carter who preceded him in death December 15, 1997. He is survived by one daughter and two step-sons: Abby Carter Emanuelson of Cary, North Carolina, Donald G. Henderson of Dowington, Pennsylvania and Lee H. C. B. Allison of Knifley Road, Elkhorn, son of the late Thomas Allison and Dorothy Sane Allison was born in Jefferson County, Kentucky, June 13, 1916. He died at 5:30 A.M., Thursday,October 2, 2003 in Knoxville, Tennessee. Age: 87He was a veteran of World War II having served his country in the United States Navy as a Seebee. He was a retired electrician. He united in marriage to Beatrice Aubrey September 6, 1934. She preceded him in death September 22, 1995. He is survived by four children: Gerald B. Jim Wilson of Arbor Lane, Campbellsville, son of the late Jack Wilson and Bernice Buckie Wilson Buchanan was born March 19, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri. He died at 8:50 A.M., Monday, September 29, 2003 in Campbellsville. Age: 78 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Orinton, Missouri. He retired from the United States Navy after twenty-one years of active duty, having served in World War II, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He served as Taylor County Deputy Jailer for fourteen years and he was a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. He united in marriage to Elma Perkins January 20, 1962. Donnie Mings of Hauula, Hawaii, formerly of Campbellsville, son of Ray Mings and Mattie Roberts Mings was born March 8, 1939, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 3:20 P.M., Wednesday, September 24, 2003 at a cancer treatment center in Mexico. Age: 64.He professed faith in Christ, was baptized and became a member of the Campbellsville Christian Church. He was the missionary minister of the Hauula Church of Christ for the last 27 years. Prior to that he served as a missionary for 14 years in Osaka, Japan, where he also taught at Osaka Bible Seminary. He united in marriage to Charlotte Gossett December 10, 1960 at the Pricetown Church of Christ, Pricetown, Ohio.
