Mr. John Russell, age 76, of Carden Street, Campbellsville, died Friday, May 10, 2002 at his home. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law and one daughter and son-in-law, James Allen and Carolyn Russell of Louisville, Phyllis and Doug McCubbin of Wisconin, six grand-children W.D. McCubbin, Phil Allen McCubbin, Chad A. Russell, Kevin D. Russell, Troy P. Russell, Jamie Russell and three great-grand-children and one sister, JoAnn Blevins also survives along with a host of friends.Funeral services for Mr. John Russell will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, May13, 2002 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Green River Memorial Cemetery.The family request visitation after 5:00 P.M. Sunday, May 12 at the funeral home.

Bonnie Mikel of Miller Road, Campbellsville, daughter of Ann Carter Milby and the late Avery Milby, was born in Green County, Kentucky, May 29, 1951. She died at approximately 12:50 P.M., Tuesday, May 7, 2002, 2.5 miles north of Columbia on Highway 55 as the result of an automobile accident. Age: 50 She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.She was a registered nurse and was employed by Hospice Palliative Care of Central Kentucky.She united in marriage to Kenneth Mikel March 8, 1982.Besides her husband, Kenneth Mikel of Miller Road, Campbellsville, she is survived by one daughter her husband, Quinn Tina Doug DeSpain of Greensburg; one granddaughter and one grandson: Quindolyn Amber Judd and Jacob Hunter DeSpain of Greensburg; her mother, Ann Milby of Campbellsville; two sisters: Judy Bright her husband, Darrell of Lebanon and Karin Lack of Nashville; one niece and one nephew: Sonya Hall of Mt.Washington and Jamie Bright of Lebanon; several other relatives and many friends. Mae Sullivan of Mt. Gilboa Road, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Lat Short and Flora Robinson Short was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, December 15, 1905. She died at 7:30 P.M., Tuesday, May 7, 2002, in Campbellsville. Age: 96 She had professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church.She united in marriage to Charlie Sullivan March 15, 1924. He preceded her in death May 27, 1967. She is survived by four sons and spouses: Dean Dorothy Sullivan of Hodgenville, Clayton Maxine Sullivan of Marsailles, Illinois, Leon Geneva Sullivan and Rev. Carlton A. Cox, age 92, of Western Drive, Campbellsville, formerly of Green County, died Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at the Taylor County Hospital after a short illness. He is survivd by a special friend, Georgia Paxton of Greensburg, three sisters-in-law, Adelle Cox of Greensburg, Aline Cox of Campbellsville and Mary Cox of Chicago.
