Wanetta Muncie, age 79

Wanetta Muncie, age 79, of Campbellsville died Monday, July 18, 2016 at Campbellsville.

She was born November 14, 1936 in Barren County to the late James and Gladys Hagan Shirley and was also preceded in death by a son, David Ronald Muncie.  Wanetta was a retired nurse and a member of First Church of God.

She is survived by a son, Joseph M. Robinson, of Campbellsville; two grandchildren, Joni Reynolds of Campbellsville and Wesley Robinson of Alabama; three great-grandchildren, Brentley Reynolds, Zoey Reynolds and Hadley Robinson and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 21st at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with Bro. Evan Tedder officiating.  Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery.  Serving as casket bearers are Jimmie Richardson, Byron Richardson, Wayne Sexton, Dave Riggle, Mike Moore and Randy Foster.

The family request visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

Johnna Atkins, 52

Johnna AtkinsMrs. Johnna C. Atkins of Larue County was born on Thursday, September 12, 1963 in San Diego, California to James Jones and DonNeva (Funk) Travis. She departed this life on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at the Taylor Regional Hospital after an extended illness. Mrs. Atkins was a veteran of the United States Army and served her country honorably through retirement. She enjoyed spending leisurely evenings on her iPad, talking with her grandkids, and dreaming about shoes, all while drinking coffee and watching the animals play.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

Her husband: Mark Atkins of Buffalo,Kentucky,

Five children: Kiersten Angely of Virginia, Johnathan Schoenhals and wife Jessica of Texas, Kathryn Lopez of Buffalo, Kimberley Atkins, also of Buffalo, Kentucky, and Anthony Atkins of Idaho,

Her parents: James Jones of Oregon, and DonNeva Travis of Texas,

Three sisters: Jodeen Jones of Texas, Jimalee Custer of Washington, and Jaylene Jones of Texas,

Nine grandchildren: Kloe Vanhooser, Keyara Styles, Briar Vanhooser, Trapper Schoenhals, Treagan Schoenhals, Tracker Schoenhals, Grady Schoenhals, Bentley Horton, and Mariella Lopez,

And a host of extended family and friends.

Cremation rites were accorded Mrs. Atkins by the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Campbellsville. A memorial service with full military honors will be conducted at a later date in Shattuck, Oklahoma.LRPETTY LOGO

Tara Nicole Simpson Lamer, 35

Tara Nicole Mrs. Tara Nicole Simpson Lamer was born to Carol Simpson Brown and the late Kevin Glasscock on Monday, July 13, 1981 in Greensburg and departed this life on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at her home in Campbellsville. She was 35 years and 3 days of age. Mrs. Lamer was a former employee of Ingersoll-Rand in Campbellsville. She professed faith in Christ and was of the Catholic faith. Memories of her kind and loving spirit will be forever cherished by those who knew her.

She leaves to mourn her passing:

One son: Ryan Sears of Campbellsville,

Her mother: Carol Jean Simpson Brown of Campbellsville,

Two brothers: Joshua Simpson and wife Patricia, and Brandon Brown and companion Makyta, all of Campbellsville,

Two half brothers: Jody Bandy and Jeremy Bandy, both of Campbellsville,

Grandparents: Shelia Gumm and William Simpson, both of Campbellsvile,

Her aunt: Bridgett Jones and husband Kim of Campbellsville,

Cousins: Kelli Rae Tedder, Bobbi Jo O’Banion, and Kristy Lynn Bandy, all of Campbellsville,

Niece and Nephews: Serenity Brown, Joshua Simpson, Jr and Jacob Simpson.

Her beloved cat and dog: Kloe Nicole and Sadie Jade,

And a host of other family and friends.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Tara Nicole Simpson Lamer on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 12:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718. At Mrs. Lamer’s request, cremation rites will be accorded her after the service.
