James A. “Tex” Taylor, age 88, formerly of Campbellsville, died Wednesday, December 16, 2015 in London, Kentucky.
He was born December 14, 1927 in Campbellsville to the late Lewis and Sally Dix Taylor. He had worked for Tennessee Gas Transmission before operating two local marinas. He completed his work career with OshKosh at various facilities. He was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church and was a Mason.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Eugene Taylor, his wife, Geraldine and a brother, Walter Taylor.
He is survived by his son, Brad Taylor and his companion, Shirley Huntley, of Tennessee, two daughters, Linda Eversole and her husband, James of London and Reva Hudman and her husband, Glen of Nevada; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Taylor of Campbellsville; two step-children, Joyce Ann VanPelt, of Somerset and Butch VanPelt of Lancaster; 6 grandchildren, Richard Allen Taylor, Christopher Robert Taylor, Ashley Lanae Taylor, Jamie Hocker, Morgan Hudman and Austin Taylor and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 19th at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with Dr. Wesley Paul officiating. The burial to follow in the Robinson Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family requests visitation from noon until 2 pm Saturday, prior to the funeral service at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home, Campbellsville

Shelby Nelson of Buffalo, son of the late Herman Nelson and Opal Warren Nelson, was born in Larue County, Kentucky, April 7, 1937. He died at 7:40 P.M., Saturday, December 12, 2015 in Greensburg. Age: 78
He was a carpenter and a lifelong farmer.
He united in marriage to Geraldine Graham in August of 1971.
Besides his wife, Geraldine Nelson of Buffalo, he is survived by one stepson, Junior Graham of Buffalo; three brothers and two sisters: Rev. Dannie Nelson and wife, Alice of Greensburg, Randall Nelson and wife, Betty of Summersville, Ahue Nelson and wife, Jean Harlow of Buffalo, Betty Thompson and husband, Terry of Campbellsville and Ginny Webb of Smyrna, Tennessee; five nieces and three nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Jessie Ruth (Skaggs) Graham of Campbellsville was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 22, 1942 to the late Wally and Jessie Ruth (Martin) Skaggs. She departed this life on December 10, 2015 at the Taylor Regional Hospital after an illness. She was 73 years, 8 months, and 18 days of age. Mrs. Graham was a homemaker and an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Beulahland Community Church.
She leaves to mourn her passing:
Four children: Beth Ann Scott, Donna Sanders and husband Billy, Roy Scott, Jr., and Richard Scott, all of Indiana,
Three sisters: Lynda Key of Indiana, Kathy Carver of Washington, and Denise Skaggs of Oregon,
Three grandchildren,
Three great-grandchildren,
Two close friends and caretakers: Betty Hoosier and Ricky Allen, both of Campbellsville,
And a host of extended family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Graham, and a sister, Mary Jo Shinkle.
There will be a graveside funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Ruth Graham on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Campbellsville Memorials Gardens Cemetery, 3878 Greensburg Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718. Bro. Billy Whitehouse will be officiating. Immediately following the service, Mrs. Graham will be laid to rest beside her husband.
