Mrs. Dorothy Corbin Petty, a lifelong resident of Adair County, was born on February 26, 1934 to the late Frank and Nora Sneed Corbin. She departed this life on Friday, December 18, 2015 at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. She was 81 years, 9 months, and 22 days of age. At the age of 20, she devoted her life to her best friend Malcolm Petty, and together they shared over 37 years of marriage before his passing. She professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. She took great pride in her family and cherished the times they spent together. Always gracious, she rarely asked for things for herself, preferring instead to give to others. Mrs. Petty loved to find beauty and peace in both people and nature. Some of her favorite pastimes were sitting outside with her neighbors and watching the redbirds around her bird feeders, then going back inside to share stories and jewelry.
She leaves to carry her legacy:
Five children: Dale (Lisa) Petty of Columbia, Lyndell Petty of Campbellsville, Rita Faye (Jimmy) Shive of Edmonton, JoAnn (Richard) Marshall of Lexington, and Connie (Barry) McCloud of Columbia,
Three siblings: Arnold Corbin of Columbia, Martha Parrish of Magnolia, and Frances Coomer of Columbia,
Ten grandchildren: Tonya Neal, Michelle Petty, McKenzie Petty, Tyler Marshall, Ben Marshall, Ryan Shive, Isaac Petty, Kailey Petty, Brandon Petty, and Aaron McCloud,
Ten great-grandchildren,
And a host of other family and close friends.
Mrs. Petty was also preceded in death by five siblings, James Corbin, Ollie Corbin, Mary Gowen, Irene Crawhorn, one brother in infancy, and one great-grandchild, Emma Grace Shive.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Dorothy Petty on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 12:00 PM EST (11:00 AM CST) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718. Bro. Larry Wisdom will be officiating.
Mrs. Petty will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Fudge Cemetery, Independence Ridge Rd, Columbia, KY 42728. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers, and her granddaughters will serve as honoraries.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, December 20, after 5:00 PM EST (4:00 PM CST)

Mr. Mario J. Arizzi of Campbellsville was born on November 29, 1964 in Illinois. He departed this life on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Norton’s Hospital in Louisville. He was 51 years and 18 days of age. He was the son of Mario & Patricia Arizzi and the late Vita K. Carducci. Mr. Arizzi was a forklift operator until his health began failing. He was known throughout his neighborhood as the big guy with a big heart, always ready to lend a helping hand or just cheer someone’s day. Mr. Arizzi professed faith in Christ and was of the Catholic faith.

Mrs. Bonnie Mae (McDaniel) Williams Perkins was born on July 13, 1922 in Campbellsville to the late Clifford and Bertha (Chappell) McDaniel. She departed this life on Wednesday, November 16, 2015 in Campbellsville surrounded by her family. She was 93 years, 5 months, and 3 days of age. She was the wife of Robert “Bug” Williams, Jr., who preceded her in death. Later, she married Elmer Perkins, who also preceded her in death. Mrs. Perkins was a retiree from the Fruit of the Loom plant in Campbellsville. She was a very caring and loving mother and grandmother, and her love was reflected throughout her family. She lived a Godly life, daily professing faith in Christ, and was a member of the Campbellsville First Church of God.
She leaves to cherish her memory:
Five children: Denzel Williams of Bowling Green, KY, Billy Dean Williams and wife Gatha of Russell Springs, KY, Wanda Kaye Perkins of Lafayette, TN, Jimmy Williams and wife Jerri of Anaheim, CA, and Marlene Tucker and husband Trent of Campbellsville,
One brother: Clifford McDaniel, Jr. and wife Ernestine of Anderson, IN,
Eight grandchildren,
Eleven great-grandchildren,
One great-great-grandchild,
And a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was also preceded in death by seven siblings, Sylvetta Williams, Charles McDaniel, Wesley McDaniel, Cecil McDaniel, Johnny McDaniel, Haskell McDaniel, and Oleda Curry, one daughter, Alta Thompson, and a daughter-in-law, Faye Williams.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Bonnie Williams Perkins on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 1:00 PM EST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718. Bro. Robbie Spencer will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3878 Greensburg Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 18, from 5-8 PM EST.
