Dorothy Sharp Cook, 84

Dorothy CookMrs. Dorothy (Reece) Sharp Cook was born on December 13, 1930 in the Breeding community of Adair County to the late Holland and Delsie (Coomer) Reece. She passed from this life on August 8, 2015 at the Cumberland County Hospital after a long illness. She was 84 years, 7 months, and 26 days of age. Mrs. Cook was retired from the Fruit of the Loom factory in Campbellsville, where she worked as a tee shirt inspector. She was the cherished Momma of seven children, and the loving Ma and Grandma to seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchilren. Mrs. Cook professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Chestnut Grove Christian Church.
She leaves to carry her legacy:
Six children: Peggy Sharp and Danny Sharp, both of Campbellsville, Cheryl Davidson and husband Johnny of Burkesville, Cathy Wiser of Bradfordsville, Debbie Sharp of Campbellsville, and Joe Sharp and wife Kathy Jo, also of Campbellsville,
Seven grandchildren: Laurie Sharp and fiance John Allen of Glasgow, Jennifer Davidson Wright of Burkesville, Willie Wiser and Waylon Wiser and wife Ryan, all of Bradfordsville, Amy Suchard and husband Tim of Smith’s Grove, Brandon Brown of Greensburg, and Ashley Bradfield and husband Kyle of Campbellsville,
Twelve great-grandchildren: Brooklyn, Felicia, Graycee, JT, Walker, Wyatt, Madisyn, Kevin, Serenity, Kaydance, Kaiden, and Kourtlyn,
A special cousin: Shirley Coomer Hagman of Owensboro,
And a host of other family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son, Ronald Stewart Sharp, in 1951.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Cook on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 2:00 PM EST at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718. Bro. Tom Wilson will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery at Breeding, KY in Adair County.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, August 10, after 5:00 PM EST.

Pallbearers for Mrs. Cook are Willie Wiser, Waylon Wiser, Kyle Bradfield, Michael Dickens, Isaiah Perkins, Justin Bland, and Tim Suchard. Eric Newcomb of Campbellsville, son of William E. “Bill” Newcomb and the late Barbara Ann Johnson Newcomb, was born July 9, 1959 in Jefferson County, Kentucky. He died at 11:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 4, 2015 in Campbellsville.
Age: 56
He was of the Baptist Faith.
He was a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Aerospace Engineering and was a former employee of General Dynamics in Fort Worth, Texas.
He is survived by his father, Bill Newcomb; one brother and sister-in-law, Lyle and Diann Newcomb and two nephews, Wyatt and Jonathan Newcomb all of Campbellsville; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many other relatives and friends.

Lucy Mings 001Lucy G. Mings, of Campbellsville, daughter of the late, Gilbert Carl Gabehart and Minnie Marie Bottoms Gabehart was born June 15, 1947 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 5:02 P.M., Thursday, August 6, 2015 in Campbellsville. Age: 68
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Saint Andrew United Methodist Church.
She was a retired employee of Adanta where she practiced as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
She is survived by one son and one daughter: Kevin Mings and wife, Melissa of Campbellsville and Tracy Weddle and husband, Doug of New Albany, Indiana; five grandchildren: Kayla Whitley and husband, John, Kristen Wilson and husband, Branden, Kelsey Cook and husband, Cody, Karissa Mings and Michila Weddle; four great-grandchildren: Noah Whitley, Brantley Wilson, Brooke Wilson and Kynleigh Whitley; one brother, Herald Gabehart and wife, Judy of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Robert Gabehart and Randaf Gabehart.
