Doris Adelle Keltner, 81

Mrs. Doris Adelle (Milby) Keltner was born in Green County on August 1, 1934 to the late Harold and Rosie (Elmore) Milby. She peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at the home of her son surrounded by a large number of her closest friends and family. She was 81 years, 6 months, and 16 days of age. Mrs. Keltner professed faith in Christ and attended God’s Grace Church. The matriarch of a large, well-respected family, Mrs. Keltner was a full-time homemaker. It came natural for her to always keep her house neat and tidy, and to be ever ready to share some of her best cooking with her family and friends. She enjoyed keeping her mind sharp with puzzles and games, and especially enjoyed a friendly game of Rook. Her handmade quilts will be treasured for generations.

She leaves to carry her legacy:
Four children: Jerry Keltner and wife Shona of Hope, Indiana, Terry Keltner and wife Kathy of Campbellsville, Patty Stanfield and husband Ernie of Nicholasville, and Doris Osborne and husband Rick of Campbellsville,
Four siblings: Holland Milby and wife Patty, Mike Milby, Sue Southern and husband James, and Sharon Sharp and husband Randall, all of Campbellsville,
16 grandchildren,
43 great-grandchildren,
5 great-great grandchildren,
Several nieces and nephews,
Her friends at Jackson Towers,
And a host of other extended family and close friends.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Keltner was preceded in death by three husbands and one daughter, Brenda Marcum.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Keltner on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 11:00 AM EST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718. The eulogy will be delivered by her grandsons, Bro. Jason Keltner and Bro. Tyler Ratner. Interment will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3878 Greensburg Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 19, after 4:00 PM EST.
In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to the American Cancer Society. Those may be made online here or in person at the funeral home.
Grandsons Brian Keltner, Chad Keltner, Josh Keltner, Ray Osborne, Jacob Chewning, Jordan Chewning, and Joshua Keltner will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Keltner’s nieces and nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.LRPETTY LOGO

Mrs. Genia Fay Sherrill of Campbellsville was born on Friday, April 7, 1961 in Glasgow to Mrs. Vernice Fay Carnes and the late Mr. Simon Day Akin. She departed this life on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at her home in Campbellsville after an extended battle with cancer. She was 54 years, 10 months, and 9 days of age. Mrs. Sherrill professed faith in Christ and attended God’s Grace Church. She was a former foodservice employee and worked in several restaurants throughout her life.

She leaves to mourn her passing:
Her mother: Mrs. Vernice Carnes of Campbellsville,
Two brothers: Larry Akin and wife Delora, and Thomas Sprowles, all of Campbellsville,
Seven step-brothers and step-sisters: Dennis Carnes and wife Viola of Indiana, Robert Carnes and wife Patty of Michigan, Clifford Larry Carnes and wife Mamie of Greensburg, Kenneth Sprowles of Campbellsville, Glen Sprowles of Louisville, Robin Burton and husband Gary of Campbellsville, and Joyce Summers, also of Campbellsville,
And a host of other family and friends.

Besides her father, she was also preceded in death by two step-fathers, Thomas Ervine Sprowles and Clifford I. Carnes, three step-brothers, Ronald D. Carnes, Gary Carnes, and Jimmy Sprowles, and a step-sister, Darlene Decker.

Peggy Walker of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Virgil Kenneth Bowles and Thelma Christine Lowe Bowles, was born November 2, 1937, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 8:43A.M., Monday, February 15, 2016 in Campbellsville. Age: 78
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church.
She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. She was also owner and operator of Peggy’s Fabric & Windows for fifteen plus years and enjoyed crafts and quilting.
Peggy felt a calling to share the Gospel through prison ministry and did so for thirty-eight years.
She united in marriage to Bobby Gene Walker November 15, 1974.
Besides her husband, Bobby Gene Walker of Campbellsville, she is survived by two daughters and two sons: Sandra Hinton and husband, Jimmy and Lisa Gaddie and husband, Robby of Campbellsville, J. W. Price, Jr. and wife, Susan of Lancaster and Randall Price and wife, Patti of Suwanee, Georgia; one step-daughter: Dana Rafferty and husband, Brian of Campbellsville; nine grandchildren: Jennifer Johnson and husband, Larry, Jason McGinnis and wife, Ashley, Ashley Cole and husband, Doug, Amanda Welton and husband, Tyler, Emily Graham and husband, Clay, Blake Sallee and finance’, Nancy George, Erika Gaddie and finance’, Richard Burress, Abbi Price and Destiny Rafferty; eight great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister: Virgil Kenneth Bowles, Jr. of Georgetown, Indiana and Virginia Bowles of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Diana Lynn Price March 13, 1955 and a grandson, Lance Corporal Jonathan Thomas Price June 21, 2014.
