Dotson - Pic Mrs. Helen Lee (Haynes) Dotson was born in Green County on November 29, 1953 to the union of William Haynes and Beatrice (Haydon) Haynes, and passed from this life on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at her home in Campbellsville. She was 60 years, 9 months, and 23 days of age. She was a homemaker, a cherished wife, and a proud and loving mother and grandmother. She had recently celebrated her fortieth wedding anniversary with her husband, John Dotson, who survives.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Dotson is survived by:
Three children: Henry Dotson of Campbellsville, Joe Dotson and wife Rachel of Glasgow, and Jessica Volbrecht and husband Michael of Campbellsville,
Five siblings: William Haynes and wife LaVaughn of Greensburg, Lena Stilts of Sonora, Sue King of Greensburg, Mary Jones of Donansburg, and Allen Haynes and wife Bontina of Hart County,
Eight grandchildren: Hollie Dotson, Alexis Dotson, Amanda Dotson, C.J. Adams, Elijah Adams, Jada Veach, Jessie Dotson, and Sean Volbrecht,
And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Helen Lee (Haynes) Dotson conducted at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Rd., Campbellsville, KY 42718, on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 2:00 PM EST. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Green County. Dr. Wesley Paul will be officiating.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 24, from 10:00 AM EST until time for the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials take the form of donations to the funeral expenses and can be made at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Junior Hubbard, Dale Price, Waylon Atwood, Donnie Dotson, Michael House, Anthony Chestine, Robert Dotson, and James “Peanut” Wilson.

Michael “Mike” Mardis, 44

Mardis - PicMr. Michael “Mike” Mardis, of Campbellsville, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at his home after a long illness. He was 44 years of age. Mr. Mardis was disabled, but loved to fish as often as his illness allowed. He was known to have a helping hand, and was a friend to many. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the East Campbellsville Church of God.

Besides his wife, Rebecca Mardis, he is survived by:
One daughter: Heather Mardis of Campbellsville
His parents: Harold and Eunonia (Greer) Mardis of Campbellsville
Very special friends: Janice Miller, Scott Antle, and Eddie Richards, all of Campbellsville
And a host of several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other close friends.

A funeral service for Mr. Mardis will be conducted at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Rd., Campbellsville, KY 42718, on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Bro. Robbie Spencer will be officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until time for the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the funeral expend fund at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are: Scott Antle, Richie Crews, Josh Wilson, George Hunt, Chris Benford, and Taft Neal. Honorary pallbearers are L.C. Simpson and Eddie Richards.

Murrell Kelsey Farmer, Jr. of Campbellsville, son of the late Murrell Kelsey Farmer, Sr. and Gerdena “Siby” Wise Farmer, was born October 3, 1949, in Taylor County. He died at 10:14 P.M., Saturday, September 20, 2014 in Campbellsville.  Age: 64

He professed faith in Christ and was of the Catholic faith.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, and he served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He was a former chaplain and commander of the VFW Post 8827 in Chicago, Illinois.

Murrell was a retired Boilermaker with the local 347 of North West Indiana, after moving to Campbellsville, he became a licensed horse trainer, breeder and owner-operator of Farmer Ridge Farm.

He united in marriage to Nancy Ann Ruff, December 15, 1971.

Besides his wife, Nancy Farmer, he is survived by one son and one daughter: Murrell Kelsey Farmer, III and wife, Brandie Lee and Julie Ann Mitchell and husband, Woody of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Gavyn Farmer and Penelopy “Buttons” Farmer of Campbellsville; three brothers: Don Farmer of Campbellsville, Lonnie Farmer of Elkhorn and Larry Farmer of Whiting, Indiana; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Delores Farmer.

VISITATION: 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home

FUNERAL SERVICE: 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Bro. Rob Hughes with full military honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
