Doris Huff, age 83

Doris Huff, age 83 of Campbellsville died Friday, February 20, 2015 in Campbellsville.

Doris was born June 5, 1931 in Taylor County, to the late Richard and Sylvia Livesay Sallee.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry “Brownie” Huff.

She was a member of Hogard’s Chapel United Methodist Church where she was active with the United Methodist Women.

She is survived by her daughter Vanessa Huff-Guyton and her husband Joe, two grandchildren, Cory Myers and Kathryn Guyton and her sisters, Willine Bowman and Nadine Milsap, all of Campbellsville.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 23rd at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with burial at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

The family request visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, February 22nd at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Hogard’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

Lucy SkaggsMrs. Lucy Helen (Shofner) Skaggs of Campbellsville passed from this life peacefully on February 14, 2015 at the Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Campbellsville. She was 83 years, 5 months, and 1 day of age. She was the daughter of the late John Wesley and Lillie Morning (Hedgespeth) Shofner. Mrs. Skaggs was a homemaker and matriarch of a large, well-respected family. She professed faith in Christ, and was a member of the Zion Separate Baptist Church. Mrs. Skaggs was the wife of Ernest Skaggs, Jr., who preceded her in death in February, 2006.

Mrs. Skaggs leaves to carry her legacy:
Eleven children: Joyce Skaggs Cole and husband Ken of Louisville, Mary Bright and husband Tony of Campbellsville, Eyvonee Skaggs of Mt. Washington, Garry Skaggs and wife Diane of Raywick, David Skaggs and companion Pam of Campbellsville, Annette Bolin and husband Steve of Campbellsville, Robert Skaggs and wife Barbara of Campbellsville, John Wesley Skaggs of Bardstown, Tammy Morgan and husband Gary of Eubank, Jerrit Skaggs and wife Teresa of Campbellsville, and Julie Ann Yates and husband Robert of Lebanon,
Twenty-three grandchildren,
A host of great and great-great-grandchildren,
And several other extended family and friends.

She was also preceded in death by:
Two sons: Ronald Lee Skaggs and Lawrence DeWayne Skaggs,
Six siblings: Nora Sprowles, Ruth Gumm, Roscoe Shofner, Herman Shofner, John Shofner & Thomas Shofner

UPDATED ARRANGEMENTS: THE FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE SATURDAY AT 11 AM AT THE L.R. PETTY FUNERAL HOME WITH BURIAL IN THE ZION CEMETERY.
VISITATION FROM 5-8 PM ON FRIDAY.

Mrs. Skaggs will be laid to rest beside her husband, and will carried there by her sons.Logo

Eddie Graham, Sr. of Campbellsville, son of the late Edward Graham and Frances Graham Creech, was born November 24, 1940, in Peru, Indiana. He died at 7:48 P.M., Thursday, February 12, 2015 in Louisville. Age: 74
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church.
He was a retired technician/operator with Tennessee Gas Transmissions in Campbellsville.
He united in marriage to Joyce Jones February 6, 1960.
Besides his wife, Joyce Jones Graham, he is survived by one son and one daughter: Eddie Graham, Jr. and wife, Lisa of Dayton, Ohio and Cindy Scott and husband, Anthony of Scottsville; five grandchildren: Caley Melton, Corey Melton, Tori Graham, Callie Watson and Payton Watson; two brothers and two sisters: Mike Creech and wife, Kathy of Cedar Lake, Indiana, Jerry Creech and Linda Freeborn of Steger, Illinois and Suellen Blanchette of Hoopeston, Illinois; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Creech.
