James Thomas “Jim” Puracchio, 60

Mr. James “Jim” Thomas Puracchio, son of Dorothy Puracchio and the late Thomas Puracchio, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014 in Campbellsville. He was 60 years, 3 months, and 7 days of age. Mr. Puracchio was an accomplished transmission mechanic, having worked on several professional teams and winning numerous awards throughout his lifetime. He was the owner of Jim’s Performance in Campbellsville, but he often felt that his biggest contribution to the sport he loved (drag racing) was in the work he did for the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Engine Challenge, which has raised over 2 1/2 million dollars in scholarship money.

Mr. Puracchio leaves to mourn his passing:
His wife: Betty Puracchio of Campbellsville,
His mother: Dorothy Puracchio of Wilmington, IL,
Three children: Damon Puracchio and Kyle Puracchio, both of Illinois, and Joe Walkey of California,
Two brothers: Mark Puracchio and wife Cheryl, and Tommy Puracchio and wife Dory, all of Illinois,
One sister: Susan Lockwood of Illinois,
Five grandchildren,
And a host of other extended family and friends

There will be a funeral service conducted at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Rd., Campbellsville, KY 42718 on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 1:00 PM and officiated by Bro. Jim Collison.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 21, from 11:00 AM until time for the funeral.

Walter McKay, 60 of Lebanon

Wedding (466b)On Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 10:25 pm the Lord called Walter McKay home.

Walter was born in Flint, Michigan on October 7, 1953 to the late Charles McKay and Jannie Louise Hart McKay.  He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined the First Baptist Church of Lebanon.

He attended school in Lebanon and graduated from Marion County High School where he played football and basketball.  He attended Campbellsville College and had worked at various jobs.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Louise McKay of Lebanon, KY; his daughter, Annisha Dunaway and her husband Larry of Belton, TX; a step-daughter, Veronica Cort and her husband, Sean of New York, NY; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five brothers, Josh McKay and his wife Helen of Lebanon, Calvin McKay and his wife, Susan and Eugene McKay and his fiancé, Deborah Trigg of Campbellsville, Robert McKay and his wife, Hattie of Memphis, TN; Emmett McKay and his wife, Nannie of Lebanon; two sisters, Wanda Johnson and her husband, Byron of Bowling Green, KY and Julia McKay of Lebanon, two uncles, one aunt,  a devoted friend, Vicky Helm and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was loved by many and a person who never complained.  He will be dearly missed and always loved.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 21st at First Baptist Church, Lebanon with burial in Tucker Hill Cemetery.  The family request that visitation be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Lebanon.

Narotm Patel, 73

Mr. Narotm J. Patel passed from this life at his home in Campbellsville on May 17, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was 73 years of age. Mr. Patel was born in Deusana, Ta: Kadi, District: Mehsana, Gujarat, India to the late Jivram and Puriben Patel. He was a farmer by trade in India, and continued that occupation, as well as becoming a successful businessman, after he became a citizen of the United States.

Mr Patel leaves behind to mourn his passing:
His wife: Dahiben Patel
Four children: Mahendra Patel, Ghanshyam Patel, Jyotsana Patel, and Bharat Patel
Ten grandchildren
And a host of other extended family and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Narotm J. Patel will be held privately at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service. All of Mr. Patel’s family are encouraged to contact the funeral home with any questions.
