Mr. Charles Elvin Farmer, age 80, died Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Taylor Regional Hospital.
Charles Elvin was the son of the late Janie Ann (Tungate) Farmer and Otis Farmer, also preceding him in death two brothers; Murrell Farmer and Ancil Farmer and one sister; Joyce McDonald.
Charles was an employee of Taylor County School System where he was a custodial, drove the buses and other assorted jobs. He loved the company of children, for many years he was a Mannsville Supremes 4H Adult Leader at 4H Camp, He loved farming, and he was a member of Feathersburg Church of God.
Private First Class Charles Elvin Farmer United States Marine Corps served our country from July 1952 until January 1955.
He is survived by his wife Audrey Farmer of Campbellsville, one son and daughter-in-law; Michael D. and Hollie Farmer of Elkhorn, two daughters and son-in-law; Robin and Walter Murphy of Liberty and Rhonda Murphy of Campbellsville, eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one brother-in-law; Leonard McDonald along with a host of family and friends.
Services for Mr. Charles Farmer were conducted 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens with full military honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

W. I. Rucker of Campbellsville, son of the late Eugene D. Rucker and Alston Atchley Rucker, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, January 15, 1920. He died at 6:15 A.M., Wednesday, December 4, 2013, in Campbellsville. Age: 93
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Kellyville Community Church.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served his country honorably in the United States Army and achieving the rank of Sergeant. He served in New Guinea, Southern Philipines and Luzon and was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon with three Bronze Stars, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with two Bronze Stars; the Good Conduct Ribbon and the Victory Medal.
He was a retired employee of McMahan Furniture in Campbellsville.
He united in marriage to Helen Williams October 16, 1948. She preceded him in death November 17, 1990.
He is survived by two sons: Greg Rucker and wife, Sheila of Campbellsville and Sherman Rucker and wife, Mary of Louisville; six grandchildren: Shae South and husband, Scott of Bowling Green, Jonathan Rucker and Daniel Rucker of Louisville, Brandon Rucker and wife, Bridgette, Marcus Rucker and wife, Adria and Cayla Rucker of Campbellsville; fifteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters: Ralph Rucker, Vernon Leach, Gillespie Leach, Maxine Kraha, Doris Skaggs, Jane McMahan and O’Neal Tipton.

Charlene Woodrum Hoosier, age 56 of Elliotsville, Ind., formerly of Taylor County, died Monday, December 2, 2013 in Indiana.
Charlene was the daughter to the late Ernest Woodrum and Doris Perkins Woodrum, she was also preceded in death by one grandson; Jared Debro.
She is survived by her husband Robert Hoosier of Elliotsville, Indiana, one daughter; Stacy Debro of Campbellsville, one son and daughter-in-law; Robbie and Gina Hoosier of Spencer, Indiana, two granddaughters of Campbellsville, one grandson on Indiana, four step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren, two sisters and brother-in-laws; Kathleen and Dalton Cox, Pauline and Gary Ford both of Campbellsville, two brothers; Ronald Woodrum and Steve Woodrum both of Campbellsville along with a host of family and friends.
Memorial services will be held for Charlene Woodrum at Bedford First Nazarene Church in Bedford, Indiana on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. all local arrangements by Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home.
