Tullio Albert Tutrinoli

Mr. Tullio Albert Tutrinoli of the Breeding community in Adair County, formerly of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and New York City, New York, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at his home. Born in Bronx County, NY on December 29, 1924, to the late Arturo and Ida (Riccio) Tutrinoli, he was 99 years, 11 months, and 12 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a devout member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Columbia. He had attained a degree from Pace Business College in New York and earned his living as an accountant.

On June 22, 1943 he was inducted in to the United States Army Air Force. CPL Tutrinoli shared his musical talents with his fellow service members as a Bandsman until his release from active service in 1946. After his return to New York, he enrolled in and graduated from The Juilliard School. It was there he honed his skills on the French Horn, an instrument he would teach and play most of his life. His abilities allowed him to play countless notable events and venues, including with the Glenn Miller Orchestra, the famed Roxy Theater, and The Metropolitan Opera House. He was also a former First Chair Horn Player in the Fort Wayne Philharmonic.

Although his list of life’s achievements is long and well-deserved, he will be more fondly remembered for his sincere, humble, and patient spirit.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

Five children: Valeria Tutrinoli of Oregon, June Savage and husband Jerome of Illinois, Melissa Covell and husband Lawrence of Breeding, Delia Gow and husband Alan of Illinois, and Marc Tutrinoli of New Jersey,

And a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Susan (Sprouse) Tutrinoli in 2010, and a sister, Marisa Grandizio and her husband, Henry.

At the request of Mr. Tutrinoli, cremation was accorded him. There are no public services scheduled at this time.

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of donations to the charity of your choice. The family asks only that you remember them in your prayers.
