Donna Catherine “Cathy” Collette of Campbellsville, daughter of Vicki Self Collette and Don Moore, was born August 15, 1979, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died on Wednesday, November 26, 2013 in Campbellsville.   Age:  34

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Connor Collette of Campbellsville; her mother, Vicki Self Collette of Campbellsville; her father, Don Moore of Campbellsville; special friend, Wendell B. Cox of Campbellsville; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Jinger Renee Collette March 20, 2010.

Walter Merl Guess

Veteran Appreciation
Mr. Walter Merl Guess, age 97, of Campbellsville, passed away on December 1, 2013, at his residence. He was born to the late Charles and Hattie Guess in Union Furnace, Ohio. Mr. Guess served his country honorably as an electrician on the temporary landing fields in the Army Air Force during World War II. After the war, he returned stateside and began a career as a typesetter and printer at McCall’s Printing in Dayton, OH.

Mr. Walter Merl Guess helped raise, and is survived by, a special nephew and caretaker – Roger Emerick and wife Kay, of Campbellsville, and a host of other nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by:
His parents – Charles Wesley and Hattie Florence (Sanner) Guess
His wife – Mary Martha (Schafer) Guess
One daughter – Cecelia Sue Guess
Five brothers and sisters – Mae Guess Emerick, Della Rhore, John Guess, Hubert Guess, and Oscar Sanner

Funeral services will be private, with interment in the Calvary Cemetery in Bellefontaine, OH.

Helen Hortense McMahan, age 93, died Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Grandview Nursing and Rehab in Campbellsville, Ky.
Hortense was the daughter of the late Talmage Sherrill and Richard Mitchell, she was also preceded in death by her son Larry McMahan, one brother; Shively R. Mitchell and one sister; Georgia M. Paxton.
Hortense was a member of Campbellsville First Methodist Church, she and her late husband were owners of Cherry Furniture Display. Hortense was a kind and loving woman and friend to many.
She is survived by one sister Louella Ronald Chaney of Greensburg, one brother-in-law; Richard McMahan of Campbellsville, two nieces; Patricia R Davenport of Louisville and Jeannie Ronald Squires of Greensburg, one nephew; Mike Mitchell of Flatwood, KY, Special Friends; Bob and Pam Wilson along with a host of family and friends.
Services for Ms. Hortense McMahan were conducted 2:30 P.M. Monday, December 9, 2013 at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
