Myrtle Huber

Myrtle Huber of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Herlie Miller and Mattie Skaggs Miller, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, June 1, 1922.  She died at 9:10 P.M., Wednesday, February 19, 2014 in Campbellsville.       Age: 91

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Washington Baptist Church.

She united in marriage to Dewey Huber December 20, 1939.  He preceded her in death April 18, 2004.

She is survived by two daughters and two sons:  Jewell Burris and husband, Russell and Regenia Wright and husband, Keith of Campbellsville, Finis Huber and wife, Judy of Mt. Washington and Harvey Huber and wife, Linda of Raywick; one daughter-in-law, Linda Clarke and husband, Marty of Knob Lick; eight grandchildren:  Tammy Mattingly, Kim Wheeler and husband, Brent, Jennifer Dooley and husband, Daniel, Dana Chissom and husband, Mark, Trent Wright and wife, Karen, Tracy Huber, Carrie Huber and David Huber and wife, LeAnn; ten great-grandchildren:  Clay Mattingly, Ashleigh Huber, Cameron Wright and Makayla Wright, Austin Wheeler, Adam Wheeler, Alex Wheeler, Zachary Dooley, Nicholas Dooley and Cameron Chissom; three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law:  Ruby Miller and Joyce Huber of Campbellsville, and Herman Huber and Justine Huber of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Huber and four brothers and  three sisters:  Edmon Miller, Thomas Miller, Charlie Miller, Chester Earl Miller, Gladys Thompson, Katie Bell and Mary Pearl Miller.

Christine Shipp Druien Ledford

Christine Shipp Druien Ledford of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Lee Shipp, deceased 2005 and Ruby Lee Druien Shipp, deceased 1933, was born in Marion County, Kentucky, January 7, 1932 and was later adopted by her grandmother, Ida E. Druien.  She died at 9:55 A.M., Tuesday, February 18, 2014, in Campbellsville.     Age:  82

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Gilboa Baptist Church.

She was a retired employee of Coleman Bottle Gas and Ferrell Bottle Gas in Louisville after twenty-eight years of service.

She was a member of the Eastern Star Lodge Harmon Chapter 273 O.E.S. in Louisville and a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.

She was an ambassador of Goodwill to the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana and a member of the National Auxiliary 42nd Infantry Rainbow Division of Veterans.

She united in marriage to Charlie C. Ledford June 27, 1980.

Besides her husband, Charlie C. Ledford, she is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Shelby Lee Hedgespeth, Sr. and his wife, Donna K. of Campbellsville; one step-son, Charles Daniel Ledford, Sr. and one step-daughter, Barbara Alice Morgan and husband, Nathan Morgan, Sr.; two grandchildren:  Dr. Shelby Lee Hedgespeth, Jr. and wife, Dr. Lauren Hedgespeth of Bardstown and Heather Renee Hedgespeth of Bowling Green; multiple step-grandchildren; two great-grandsons:  Nathaniel Shelby Hedgespeth and Luke Bryan Hedgespeth; multiple step-great-grandchildren; three half-sisters and spouses:  Rosaline and husband, Carol Mardis and Jewell and husband, Teddy Blair of Elizabethtown and Wilma Dean and husband, Darrell Blair of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Shelby D. Druien, Sr., deceased May 31, 2010.

Jody Blond Underwood of Campbellsville, son of the late Fred Underwood and Lela Skaggs Underwood was born in Larue County, Kentucky, March 11, 1925. He died at 6:20 P.M., Saturday, February 15, 2014 in Greensburg.     Age:    88

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He was a veteran of World War II, having served his country honorably in the United States Navy.

He was a retired employee of Tennessee Gas Transmissions, primarily serving in construction.

He united in marriage to Cleo Blakeman February 1, 1947.

Besides his wife, Cleo Underwood, he is survived by his son and his wife, Michael T. and Brenda Underwood of ElkHorn; two granddaughters and husbands: Cathy and Shaun Murray of Greensburg and Stephanie and Joey Conn of Columbia; four great-grandsons: Dylan Conn, Dawson Conn, Dax Conn, and Casen Murray; one brother, Charles Underwood of Shepherdsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Joseph Dane Conn; one brother and three sisters: Otis Underwood, Dorothy Glidewell, Essie Perkins, and Pauline Sidebottom.
