May Rock of Campbellsville, daughter of the late James Herbert Bowen and Maude Lee Wade Bowen, was born August 5, 1940, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 4:00 P.M., Monday, November 12, 2012 in Lexington, Kentucky. Age: 72
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Temple.
She was employed as a salesclerk with JC Penney in Campbellsville and was retired from GTE.
She united in marriage to Joe Rock September 16, 1977.
Besides her husband, Joe Rock, she is survived by one daughter and one son:
Misty Hafley and husband, Bryan of Campbellsville and Marty Rock and wife, Jennifer of Lexington; four grandchildren: Mayci Jo Hafley, Hayden Curtis Hafley and Chloe Bryanne Hafley of Campbellsville and Blake Webster Rock of Lexington; two brothers and one sister:
J. R. Bowen and wife, Bernice, Kenneth Bowen and wife, Mildred and Faye Vaughn and husband, William of Campbellsville;a sister-in-law, Bernice Bowen Cox; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister: Hollis Earl Bowen, Lewis Bowen and Catherine Johnson.

Kathryn Bland Smith of Maryville, Tennessee, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Ira Grant and Florence Bryant Grant was born February 15, 1922 in Adair County, Kentucky. She died at 2:50 A.M., Saturday, November 10, 2012 in Maryville, Tennessee. Age: 90
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
She was a former employee of Campbellsville Cleaners.
She united in marriage to James Bland December 9, 1939. He preceded her in death April 7, 1958.
She united in marriage to James W. Smith March 22, 1963. He preceded her in death October 9, 2002.
She is survived by two sons: J.T. Bland of Campbellsville and Michael Bland and wife, Lee Ann of Maryville, Tennessee; seven grandchildren: Craig Bland and wife Maria, Ryan Bland and wife, Kim, David Bland, Christy Shuffett and husband, Scott, Laura Jo Minor and husband Michael, Grant Bland and wife, Kasey and Tyler Bland and wife Nicole; one step-granddaughter, Margie Ross; six great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Eugene Grant and Ralph Grant of Indianapolis, Indiana; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one sister and three brothers: Edna McGaha, James Grant, Marshall Grant and Everett Grant.

At approximately 1:36AM the Kentucky State Police received a call from Marion County Dispatch in regards to a shooting that took place outside Raywick Bar and Grill. The shooting led to 22 year old, David Litsey of Lebanon being transported to Springview Hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries. An autopsy has been scheduled for today at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville. The details surrounding the shooting are still under investigation and the Kentucky State Police are asking anyone with information to contact local Law Enforcement or the Kentucky State Police at 1-800-222-5555. KSP was assisted by the Marion County Sheriff’s Department and the Marion County Coroner. Detective Bradly Stotts is investigating.
