Mr. Colman Brown passed away on August 9, 2013, in Campbellsville at the age of 94, surrounded by his family and friends. He was a life-long farmer and a devoted husband of 73 years to Helen Brown. He had professed faith in Christ, and was a member of Mt. Roberts Baptist Church.
Besides his wife, Helen (Skaggs) Brown, he is survived by:
One son – Ronnie Brown and his companion, Regina McDonald of Taylor County
One sister – Marie Maness of Gainesville, GA
Three grandchildren – Marcia Underwood, and her husband Mickey, of Campbellsville, Bobby Brown of Campbellsville, and Troy Brown of Lexington
Three great-grandchildren – Josh Brown, Bryson Skaggs, and Kaylee Brown
One great-great-granddaughter – Joss Scout Brown
and a host of other friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Ollie (Milby) Brown, a daughter, Brenda Beams, an infant son, Robert Wesley Brown, and three sisters, Dorothy Colvin, Louise Shuffett, and Lillian Hedgespeth.
Visitation for Mr. Colman Brown will be held at the LR Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville on Saturday, August 10, from 5:00-8:00 EST, and on Sunday, August 11, from 8:00-1:00 EST.
There will be a graveside service at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens on Sunday, August 11, at 2:00 PM EST with Bro. Otis Skaggs officiating.
Memorials are suggested to Gideon Bibles or the Taylor County FFA, and may be made in person or at the funeral home.

Mary Archie Burress of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Johnny Bob Witham and Maggie Mae Reeder Witham, was born in Russell County, Kentucky, August 25, 1921. She died at 11:05 A.M., Monday, August 5, 2013, in Louisville.
Age: 91
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.
She united in marriage to Leroy Walton “Shorty” Burress, who preceded her in death in 1975.
She is survived by two sons: Donald Witham and wife, Betty Joyce of Campbellsville and Jimmy Burress and wife, Susan of Owenton; four grandchildren: Lela Kay Scott and husband, Kenny, Debbie Bailey and husband, Tim and Derick Witham and wife, Christy of Campbellsville and Scott Burress of Louisville; three step-grandchildren: Shara Whitley of Campbellsville, Becky Lockhart and husband, Dana of Buffalo, South Dakota and Melissa Hunter and husband, Jesse of Louisville; five great-grandchildren: Daniel Kemp, Megan Kemp, Abbey Witham, Kailey Witham and Ethan Bailey; three step-great-grandchildren: McCall Hunter, Asher Hunter and Beatrice Lockhart; one sister, Nellie Bowen of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters: Paul Witham, Edna Colvin and Winnie Parson.

Patricia Anne Montgomery of Campbellsville, daughter of Deborah Durham Snow and the late Tommy Harris, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, December 1, 1985. She died at 1:50 A.M., Monday, August 5, 2013, in Campbellsville. Age: 27
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Greensburg Community Baptist Church.
She was an employee of Druther’s Restaurant in Campbellsville.
She united in marriage to Chris Montgomery October 1, 2005.
Besides her husband, Chris Montgomery, she is survived by two daughters: Haley Harris and Cheyanne Montgomery of Campbellsville; her mother, Deborah Snow of Campbellsville; special aunt, Annette Sharp of Scottsville; special uncle, Hank Harris and wife, Susan of Campbellsville; several other aunts and uncles and many other relatives and friends.
