Robert Gene Blankenship of Campbellsville, son of Estel Lee Turner Blankenship and the late James Clifton “Nat” Blankenship, was born in Adair County, Kentucky, November 17, 1962.  He died at 3:28 P.M., Monday, August 13, 2012 in Louisville.    Age:  49

He is survived by one daughter and one son:  Latosha Brooke Blankenship of Louisville and Shane Gerik Blankenship of New Berlin, Illinois; his mother, Estel  Blankenship of Louisville; two brothers and two sisters:  Billy Shell of Lexington, Jamie Blankenship of Columbia, Brenda Brown of Louisville and Wanda Gail Druin of Shepherdsville; many other relatives and friends.

LUCILLE RISEN

Lucille Risen of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Aylette Cowherd and Georgia Campbell Cowherd, was born November 16, 1928 in Taylor County, Kentucky.

She died at 1:45 A.M., Monday, August 13, 2012 in Campbellsville.        Age: 83

She professed faith in Christ was a member of Early’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

She was a retired employee of Taylor County Elementary School Lunchroom.

She united in marriage to Clay Risen September 13, 1944.  He preceded her in death November 16, 2005.

She is survived by one son and one daughter:   Bradley Clay Risen and wife, Shirley of Campbellsville and Danna Risen Brownlee and husband, Kenneth of Valrico, Florida; four grandchildren: Benjamin Clay Risen and Katherine Elaine Risen of Campbellsville, April Brownlee and Amber Brownlee of Valrico, Florida; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister, Robert Cowherd and Joann Newton and a sibling in infancy.
