Sapatu Ala, of Campbellsville, the son of the late Ala Ala and Aitulagi Tuilefano Ala, was born July 30, 1943, in Malaeloa, Tutuila, American Samoa, and departed this life on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at his residence. He was 80 years of age.
He loved cars, playing cricket and owed his own Samoan softball and cricket teams in San Francisco, CA. He was also a great swimmer.
Survivors include: Antonina Suapaia Ala, Cynthia Ala, Arabellah Wolfgramm, and Sapatu Lavulo.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death several brothers and sisters: Va’ I Ala, Falagai Frank Ala, Meafatu Ala, Nifo Ala, Faia Ala, and Akuso Ala.

Russell Colvin of Campbellsville, son of the late Ezra Colvin and Esther Colvin, was born October 11, 1938 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at the age of 85 on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 in Campbellsville.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Green River Memorial Baptist Church.
Russell served his country honorably in the United States Army.
He retired from Houchens in 2003 after spending more than 40 years in the Grocery Industry.
He united in marriage to Marjorie Bault June 27, 1959.
Outside of spending time with his family, Russell enjoyed spending time with friends on the golf course. After retirement he became an avid golfer.
Besides his wife, Marjorie Colvin of Campbellsville, Russell is survived by one daughter and one son: Cathy Mullins and husband, Jeff of Bowling Green and Jason Colvin of New Orleans, Louisiana; four grandchildren: Logan Pillow and wife Isis, Skylar Dowies, Reese Colvin and Brody Colvin; one brother and two sisters: Richard “Shorty” Colvin, Geraldine Bennett and husband, Ron and Margaret Parrott of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Marjorie Hovious England of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Luther Alvin Hovious and Ethel Taylor Hovious, was born September 3, 1931, in Adair County, Kentucky. She died at 5:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 20, 2024 in Campbellsville. Age: 92
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Robinson Creek Baptist Church.
Marjorie was a retired periodicals librarian at Campbellsville University.
She united in marriage to Ira England, Jr. January 23, 1953 and he preceded her in death March 3, 1988.
She had a strong spirit, enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to read.
Marjorie is survived by one son, Gary England (Diane) of Campbellsville; seven grandchildren: Robbie England of South Carolina, Roger England of Delaware, Veronica England Lobb (John) of Louisville, Wayne England (Tara) of Mt. Washington, Adam England (Julie) of Campbellsville, Michael England (Stephanie) of Canada and Alex England (Logan) of Georgetown; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by two sons: Perry England September 19, 1991 and Byron Douglas “Doug” England July 31, 2017 and one brother and three sisters: Ben McCloud, Mary Hovious White, Joyce Tucker and Jo Ann Hovious.
