Follow Two Kentucky Eagles Online, Thanks to GPS Transmitters

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Researchers and wildlife enthusiasts can now go online to track the movements of two bald eagles hatched in Kentucky earlier this year.

Last May, biologists fitted a male and a female eagle with satellite transmitters while both birds were still in their nests at Ballard Wildlife Management Area (WMA).

Accident at KY 210 and US 68 Sends Two to Hospital

On  Tuesday, October 26, 2010  at 7:35, Melissa Matney 39, of Greensburg was operating a 2001 Chevrolet Van was attempting a left turn from west US68 onto KY210. Matney turned into the path of a westbound 2003 Dodge Van operated by Donnie Shively, 39 also of Greensburg. The Shively vehicle struck the Matney vehicle and then struck a guardrail. Both Matney and Shively were transported to Taylor Regional Hospital by Campbellsville-Taylor Co. Rescue. Campbellsville Fire also responded.
