Injury Accident in Marion County

(Marion County KY) Trooper Ricky Underwood is investigating a single vehicle injury collision that occurred on KY 208, 7 miles south of Lebanon. George Rakes Jr age 38 of Lebanon was operating a 1984 Dodge pickup when he lost control of the vehicle and struck an embankment. A passenger, Elizabeth Tungate of Campbellsville was arrested and charged with Alcohol Intoxication. Rakes was treated and released from Springview Hospital and charged with driving under the influence, no insurance, no operators license, and open alcoholic beverage in motor vehicle where prohibited. Trooper Underwood was assisted at the scene by Sgt. Greg Brown, Marion County Fire and EMS.

Fatal Accident in Washington County.

(Springfield KY)    Sgt. Jamie Heller is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Friday July 16, 2010 @ 7:47 am on US 150, 5 miles east of Springfield. Stephen Sizemore age 54  of Somerset was operating a 1999 Peterbuilt Semi when he fell asleep at the wheel, sideswiping a 2011 Toyota Camry operated by Koichi Kaawamur age 29 of Bardstown, and a 2000 Nissan Sentra operated by Amanda Joe Trent age 26 of Bardstown.  Sizemore then stuck the front of a 2001 Honda operated by Victor Walters age 45 of Elizabethtown. After striking the front of Walters vehicle, Sizemore’s vehicle overturned on top of Walters vehicle trapping Walters inside. Walters was pronounced deceased at the scene by Washington County Corner Lynn Benedict. Trent was transported to Springview Hospital where she was treated and released. A passenger in the Kaawamur vehicle was Yoshikazu Yamamoto age 40 of Bardstown and all other drivers were belted and not injured. Sgt Heller was assisted at the scene by CVE officer Cunduff, Trooper Davis, Trooper Cornett, Detective Olsen, Washington County Sheriffs Department, Washington County Fire, Rescue, and EMS and Kentucky Department of Transportation.

Citizens Bank Robbed

Date: 07/16/2010 Time: 1440 hrs.

Location: Citizens Branch Bank on Highway 210

Narrative: On 7/16/2010, at approximately 1440 hrs. a white male approximately 5’10, 220 lbs wearing a navy blue jacket with a white stripe across it entered the bank and demanded money. The jacket had National Guard written across the back. He had on sunglasses and a blonde wig with a pony tail. He had on blue jeans, black shoes. He had a black hat with a white label in front with red writing. He was armed with a dark colored semi-auto weapon. The suspect fled in a white SUV. There were no injuries to employees. An undermined amount of money was taken. Officers arrived at 1446 hrs.
