Ophelia McDonald, age 100, Lucian Sallee Road, Bradfordsville, died Saturday, December 18,2010, at her residence after an illness.

She is survived by six sons and their spouses, Vonald & Jewell McDonald of Louisville, Buel & Evelyn McDonald of Liberty, Phillip McDonald of Casey County, David and Fran McDonald of Elkhorn, Joseph & Patricia McDonald of Campbellsville,, George and Diane McDonald of Campbellsville, one daughter and son-in-law, Burdis & Lester Burress of Campbellsville, forty two grandchildren, sixty eight grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren, one sister, Georgie Bishop of Indiana.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11AM, Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the Lyon-DeWitt funeral home with burial to follow in Jones Chapel Cemetery.

Henry “Sonny” Phillips, 89, of Robin Road, Campbellsville died Friday, December 17, 2010 in Louisville after an illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, L.W. and Bertie Eads Phillips, one daughter, Teri Kay Poland, two brothers, Fletcher Phillips and Merlin Phillips, two sisters, Mattie Allen Pickett and Vernetta Taccamonti.

Multiple fatalities in Clinton County Collision

The Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatality that occurred on Friday, December 17th that resulted in 4 fatalities. The collision happened at approximately 3:40 PM CST 6 miles west of Albany on KY 0090. A Red 2000 Chevy Pickup operated by 54-year-old Ricky Brinkley of Bowling Green, traveling eastbound, attempted to overtake another eastbound vehicle and struck a westbound 1999 Plymouth Van head on in the westbound lane. Ricky Brinkley was pronounced deceased at the Clinton County Hospital. The van was operated by 36-year-old David Moreland who was pronounced deceased at the scene. David Long is investigating and was assisted at the scene by additional units from Post 15, Clinton County Sheriff’s Dept., Clinton and Cumberland County Fire, EMS and Rescue personnel.
