(Loretto, KY) – At 8:48 EDT Post 15 received a call from Marion County Dispatch requesting backup for a Deputy Sheriff responding to a residence on Holy Cross Road in Loretto.
Marion County dispatch received a call at 8:42 EDT from a caller who stated that she had found her neighbor lying on the back porch of her residence, bleeding and she believed him to be dead.
Post 15 Troopers and Detectives responded to the scene with the Marion County Sheriff’s Department and upon arrival found 22-year-old Brandon Lashaun Stone of Loretto, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. The investigation is on going at this time.

Elvin E. Durham, Jr. of Campbellsville, son of the late Elvin E. Durham and Artie Wall Durham Johnson, was born in Casey County, Kentucky, December 23, 1926. He died at 3:15 A.M., Wednesday, April 13, 2011 in Campbellsville. Age: 84
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Army.
He was employed with Kentucky Public Education, was a Vocational Agricultural Teacher for 12 years in Lincoln County, a principal at Hardin County School and retired as principal of Lancaster Elementary School. After retirement, he worked at Lindsey Wilson College and Western Kentucky University.
He was an ordained Baptist deacon.
He united in marriage to Margaret Skaggs February 25, 1950.
Besides his wife, Margaret Durham, he is survived by one son and one daughter: Jeffrey Durham and wife, Peggy of Nicholasville and Lisa Rae Durham of Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren: Benjamin Durham and wife, Chrisse of Versailles, Daniel Durham and wife, Kirstie of Buffalo, New York and Carrie Durham of Bowling Green; four great-grandchildren: Anikah Durham, Ayden Durham, Skyla Durham and Daniel Durham; two brothers and three sisters: Luada Smith and husband, Bennie, Curtis Durham and Jack D. Johnson and wife, Martese of Stanford, Maxine Delk, of Ludlow and Maria Duttera and husband, John of Columbus, Ohio; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Carlos Durham, Terrell Durham and Earl Durham.

Betty Lou Dean, age 73, of Ingram Avenue, Campbellsville died Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at her
residence after an illness.
She is survived by her children and spouses, Terry and Debbie Holley of Edmonton, Carol Dean
& Vicky Webb both of Campbellsville, Kathy & Kalvin Shoopman of
Nicholasville, step children, James Dean & Richard Lee Dean both of Indiana
and Martin Dean of Washington State, twelve grandchildren, thirteen great
grandchildren, four step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren,
three brothers, Roger DeWeese & Wendell DeWeese both of Summer Shade,
Robert DeWeese of Glasgow, half brothers & sisters, Joey DeWeese, Kimberly
Gibson and Becky Anderson, step mother, Diane DeWeese of Summer Shade.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1PM, Friday, April
15, 2011 at Jesus Name Tabernacle with burial
to follow in Jesus Name Tabernacle Cemetery.

at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home and after 11AM, Friday at the church.
